“I was ordering a re-glaze for my wife's glasses. The only problem I had was incorporating "transitions" into the order. A phone call to the firm sorted that out and the service and quality of the job were excellent. I would use them again. D White”

“Highly recommended. Just been to the lovely showroom in Long Bennington after a visit to a very overpriced high street optician. We received a better welcome and far better customer service and excellent value for money. Will never go back to the high street.”

“This is the first time I have used GFL. Because of my very high prescription I was keen to compare the results with my normal local optician as the size of the frames and position of the lenses is critical. On both counts my new glasses from GFL are better. Although I mostly wear contact lenses I have been wearing my new glasses much more as they are so good. Colin. Deal, Kent.”

“Wow what an experience from start to finish. Hubby and I had our eyes tested with GFL, which is a relatively new service from them. This service was very efficient and since receiving our new glasses very accurate! I have been using a large high street company for eye testing and glasses and have always had problems one way or the other, but since using GFL both of us have always received a first class service. The offices are first class and Tina and her team are experienced, efficient and effective and I must also mention the coffee and cakes were not bad either. I have a difficult prescription but since using GFL have not had any problems I am now able to see and read labels without having to lift up my glasses to see the small print. The only problem is now I can see that my windows need cleaning!! GFL a big thank you from us both, you have a first class business and we are both glad to have seen you develop from a small online business to the company you are now and I am sure you will continue to grow Many thanks Mick and Leo”

“What a fantastic professional service. The whole experience was totally painless. The advise was very professional & I was put at ease & did not feel that extras were being recommended for GFL profit. For the first time since I started with my sight problems 2 1/2 years ago my vision is as good as it can be & I feel my eyes are fully protected against the elements. I did not use the internet/postal service, I live close enough to visit the business. I ordered two pairs of specs, one single vision for driving which were ordered on Wednesday & were ready by Saturday. The second pair were a more complex varifocal with 'Extra Active' Reactalight lenses, but they were ready in the stated time. I have already recommended GFL to friends & family. John Britnell”

“I always buy from this company because the Glasses are always well made, reasonably priced and delivery is really quick. Free standard delivery on my last glasses took only a few days. Highly recommended.”

“Website was easy to use and the prices very competitive. However, they had a problem manufacturing my complex prescription and I struggled to see properly, so I ended up getting a full refund. I later discovered via another lab that the 1.74 lenses I thought I had bought were in fact cheap standard-grade plastic lenses. They were also much thicker than anticipated. I have since managed to get much thinner lenses through my local optician (Watchfield). I would not recommend this company based on the above.”

Dear Gemma, Thank you for your review. I am disappointed to learn that a lab has advised you that your lenses were of a poor standard as the lenses you received are the exact same lenses as one of the 'high end' major high street chains; we use the same supplier. It is therefore not helpful to other customers when false information is provided by third parties. In reference to your lenses, as you could not see on both occasions we strongly advised you to get your eyes re-tested with a different optometrist as our calibrated focimeter print outs confirmed that your lenses were manufactured to the correct single vision prescription, as provided by you, both times. In relation to the thickness of the lenses, some labs are prepared to go below 'British standards' to achieve a more 'knife edge' finish. As this would invalidate your warranty, and makes the lenses more prone to chipping because they are too thin, we strictly adhere to British Standards. In any given prescription, diameter of frame, shape of frame and pupillary distance, mathematics can only be pushed so far. I am sorry that you were unsatisfied on this occasion, which is why, despite completing your order accurately on both occasions, we gave you a full refund. Kind Regards, Tina Mason Managing Director

Best vision I have ever had since using varifocal lenses, reading and distance comes so naturally with these, quality is exceptional. “Thank you for a fantastic professional and friendly service. Your Christian Lacroix frames were so funky and different, and were exactly what I was looking for! Great value for money, and so I decided on a 2nd pair that are also very me! Special thanks to your 'Mrs C' for her lovely short bread biscuit, a very nice treat. I have never had biscuits and coffee before whilst purchasing my glasses - what a wonderful treat. I will definitely recommend you and will be back when I want more glasses.”
