I was so excited to buy my first piece. The Blossa dress at $58 fit my budget and since it was 94% cotton I could wear it year round. Sadly, my excitement faded when I received the dress. The material feels like bad shapewear! I don't know how something purported to be mostly cotton could possibly feel like this (think clammy synthetic) but it does. So disappointed. I won't be calling customer service as all reviews say how nasty they are and I'm frustrated enough.

These reviews shock me - I love this unique company and their amazing clothing. I’m never going back to mall cookie cutter garbage.

Another former customer who likes the clothes but not the customer service. I absolutely adore the things I have. But I can't support a company that doesn't value it's customers more.

Some clothing is spectacular in design and fabric, and is well-made. Love the whimsy. Other is vastly over-priced for what it is. You really have to be careful. The website is awful - and the customer service also vastly mixed. I try now to buy the clothing second-hand. Saves money, easier to manage currencies and shipping locations, and no having to deal with their staff.

Sadly the fun and mostly well made clothing is cancelled out by long delivery times and a very off-putting customer service experience. Three separate calls have been made to extremely uncaring phone agents, both tone & words seem to shout "I absolutely do not care if you are ever again a customer. Go away." All marketing materials play up what a caring & customer-appreciative company Gudren Sjoden is - while customer service experiences say "don't believe it. we could care less." Saddens & disappoints me. This is probably my last order w/them.

PLEASE change your customer service provider. The clothes and website are so happy and colorful but, after my first ever purchase - I needed to speak with customer service and they are THE WORST EVER. Rude, arrogant and really unhelpful. I had just spent £200 on one order and the woman whom I spoke with tried to make me feel like a fool. I wondered if I would ever spend with the company again. I have been shopping online ever since it became available but this appalling, atrocious company that Sjoden are using - they really do your clothes and label a disservice and, as I can see from reviews - I am not the only one who feels this way so - Please show that you care about your customers and find a new customer service provider. The ones you have at the moment know absolutely nothing about the clothes and are surly and rude.

For a number years anything from Gudrun made me over the moon with delight. The funny, quirky, folky and practical combined to look well even after many launderings. In the last couple of years probably due to the problems of Covid and suppliers and manufacturing the quality of clothing has deteriorated considerably. Not only are the fabrics cheaper but the designs are lacking in detail and subtlety. Designs seem to lack details.

I was very disappointed as the cotton is so thin, rough on the skin and see through. It is too expensive for the bad quality. The only thing I like is the color and shape. Color is like the photos. I really hope they improve their fabric quality, I would buy more more. And if the quality becames good I would love a petite line of clothing, for us petite women.

I bought a red petticoat, and it's so thin I doubt itll last long. It's made from 4 panels so it doesn't have much swing. I bought it because I had bought one of Gudrun's p[etticoats about 10 years ago and loved it. The fabric of the new one is woefully lacking in quality, no comparison. I also bougth a dress to go with it. Again, the material is really thin, flimsy. The quality of Gudrun clothing has fallen sharply and badly. And, for the huge upmarket prices they really should be better wuality. I'm afraid I shan't be bothering to buy from them again. It's a shame because I love the colours and quirkiness, but the quality of the fabrics used does not match up to the image of the product.

Way too high price for the quality of the clothing. My order arrived today after about a month, and I was so disappointed. Thin see through fabric worse than the cheapest gauze u can imagine, used in the dress/pinafore and both the slips that I ordered. The so called tights are thinner than paper and are like the worst cheapest nylons you have ever worn, or your mother ever had to wear. I wanted them for cooler weather and winter. Not happening. I spent about 500. I hate returning things due to the fact that it takes forever to credit my account. Won’t be back ever.

Ordered an early bird special. Not honored. Full price was charged. Dreadful customer service. Will not use online ever again. I am requesting that you right this wrong. Dreadful. Dreadful.

I love the clothes I received from GS: two dresses, a cardigan, a pair of tights. The material is good quality, the workership seems solid, the fit is nice, the colors delightful. I have two concerns: most garments made in China, does GS contract with legitimate garment factories where workers are well paid and treated? I'd like more information. Second: each garment came in a plastic bag for a total of five plastic bags. I'd really like to see something different - paper perhaps. Only an outer plastic bag to protect the garments from the elements. It makes me sad and will influence my shopping habits. I'm working on less plastic and I've found numerous companies who are working out other options. Might GS improve your packaging? It would greatly appreciated and a better match with your natural fiber clothing.

As a regular customer I am very very disappointed about the quality of an item I recently bought. It concerns a very nice woollen cardigan that I bought for Xmas. Today I hand washed it very gently and to my astonishment the colour used was not properly fixed. As visible in the photo's the red colour has run into the creme background and completely ruined the cardigan. I am not happy at all as the price you pay for the clothes is high. I was sent a £55 voucher which expired 31-12-2020. Towards the end of 2020, I tried to use it and even after reading FAQ I could not figure out how to use it. I did not think to ring the 0800 customer service number, as on the website it stated there were problems with the number. The voucher then expired. I finally rang customer services in January, 2021 only to be told that it was too late and they would not issue me with another voucher. I have spent lots of money on their clothes over the years and I feel very upset that they wouldn't issue me with another voucher and talk me through how to use it.

Appalling delay in dispatch of sale goods. Payment taken and fast dispatch promised, but waiting now for more than 2weeks for delivery. Customer services giving vastly different excuses for the delay. They simply cannot cope with the volume of orders. I have spent thousands of pounds with this company, but I will not be ordering again unless they sort out their delivery problems.

The clothes are lovely. I have no problem with them. It's the customer service and their customer service I wish to complain about. Both are dreadful. Firstly, customer service. I called once about their "free shipping" to anywhere in the world. But I had to pay something at customs to get my parcel which took over a month to get to me. They didn't respond to my query for the longest time. When they did, they paid for one order but not the next one. I emailed another time because I could not place an order online with my credit card. No fault of the credit card. I received no reply to my email. The next time I emailed about my inability to place an order - well, lo and behold, they emailed back the next day telling me to call them and here is where is gets very frustrating: Gudrun's customer service doesn't want to hear any complaints about their website so the first time I tried I was hung up on, and the second time, the girl got catty with me. I made it clear that my comment was for the IT people. Dear Gudrun's customer service: toughen up and accept constructive criticism so that your website may be improved and work as customer friendly and seemlessly as possible. I've been put off twice now from ordering over $600 worth of product! That must not matter to you. Now to the website itself. How horrible is that? 1) When I'm looking at a piece of clothing, something drops down from the top of the page to cover the image making it difficult to see. 2) The items in the cart are not saved between sessions. That would be an easy and helpful fix as it takes so long to go through the product line. If Etsy and Amazon can save cart items, so can you! 3) As a Canadian, I cannot send something to someone in the States. Ridiculous. Fix that. Again, Etsy and Amazon figured it out. So, as I said....the product so far has been satisfactory but the service, abysmal.

I've been a so-called "VIP customer" since discovering this company in a magazine advertisement in 2015. Beautiful catalogs and fun clothing. Over the past almost 9 years now, the Customer Service has been less than stellar and prices have gone up while the quality of the clothing has gone down. I am sad to say that rude and inadequate Customer Service is the main issue and the killer of my love for Gudrun Sjöden in addition to never receiving catalogs with the exception of 2 (!) in the past year of 2022 despite large orders and requests for said never received catalogs and being ignored by their customer service in Sweden and the instagram account based out of the Soho NY office. Much neglect and rudeness on their part as well with no attempts for goodwill with a loyal, "VIP customer" who received the full amount of bonus points each year and received a free $100 value purchase each time including this year. Hence, I decided to stop ordering in feeling not valued for my loyalty and amount of purchases each year... but did receive bonus points and placed an order last month in order to fulfill the $100 bonus item. My order, from what is apparently a new warehouse in the US, in Minnesota, screwed up my order. Once again, more rudeness from Customer Service and a refusal to send me a $10 wall calendar as a good will effort and apology for all of the customer service failure of the past year. Like other customers have stated, the new items, I notice, are tissue paper thin and even more see through than ever. I had even spent an additional $50 for the order I had placed, in going over the $100 bonus amount, against my better judgement. There was also some kind of snafu with the namesake of the company, Gudrun, over some kind of woke politics issue which personally I could care less about. Sweden has been overtaken by criminal migrants so I'm just glad that I no longer live there and apparently Gudrun has left the company in her formerly official capacity and moved to NY? Anyway, the company that remains is not one that I care to any longer do business with. I might buy some accessories if hopefully the quality of their socks and tights has not declined as much as the other apparel and especially, the customer service has. Customer service at GS has made me angry and regretful for doing business with them for the last time, as of today. It's a bloody shame, particularly when their instagram account does not respond to DMs concerning customer service issues after the Sweden office ignores or is rude to you, and now that the brand actually has a full service warehouse in Minnesota.

I have several GS cardigans in my wardrobe from five or six years back, but today's garments are so poor quality that I won't be ordering any more. The fabrics are very thin, almost see through in some cases, and when you order a cardigan you want something that will keep you warm, not a flimsy piece that lets the cold air in. They used to make lovely lined jackets, and I had two and wore them until they fell apart. They were from about ten years ago, when the company made good quality items in useful fabrics, which looked great and were worth the money. Again, today's clothing is far lower in quality, and not worth the money. And the fabrics have become cheaper as well, with some nasty polyester type fabrics that feel slimy and itchy on the skin. What has gone wrong? I hope someone in the company will come to their senses and restore the quality from five to ten years ago. But I doubt it will happen.

The company somehow changed my account name to my sons name when he bought me a gift certificate. In the store, they revived an old account, and told me customer service would sort it out if I called them. On the phone with customer service, they blamed my son for messing up my account ( he couldn't have logged in, he doesn't have my password) and refused to honor the points for my purchases made in store. The agent was rude and disrespectful. She kept interrupting me. Before this I was a faithful Gudrunista, but now I see what people are talking about with the terrible customer service. Coupled with the steady decline in quality, I'm on the lookout for a new brand to purchase.
