“DISHONEST TRADER BEACHES ADVERTISING REGULATIONS
The Advertising Standards Agency has issued a compliance notice on 30 October 2019 for falsely claiming memberships he did not have. This trader used dishonest claims to imply his work was covered by the HIP guarantee protection insurance scheme. IT IS NOT. He also illegally used the BBA logo to imply his work conformed to quality certification by BBA. IT DOES NOT. This trader was removed from the Trustatrader and MyBuilder listing websites for bad practice. See attached pics.”
“Hanson Roofing & General Building is the new name used by the trader who put a new roof on my house that was so bad I was forced to get the whole roof replaced because it had failed Building Regulation inspection. I obtained a CCJ against this trader's former company and as a result the trader changed the trading style to avoid negative reviews I had left under the old name (New Style Building and Roofing)”

This trader uses fake claims in his advertising and uses a fake address in Leigh to con the public into believing he is a local trader.
Actually trades from a traveller site in Ingatestone and his previous company ceased trading leaving unpaid creditors.

“This dishonest trader is now running advertisements in local Essex papers using the logo's of consumer protection organisations of which he is not a member, and in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. He uses the logo's to deceive consumers to believe they are protected by the Home Improvement Protection (HIP) scheme and that his products and installations are approved by the British Board of Agrement (BBA).
HIP members provide a deposit protection and insurance backed guarantee and BBA members are approved and audited installers under a product and installation certification scheme. NEITHER MARK PICKETT OR THIS COMPANY HOLD ANY MEMBERSHIPS OF HIP OR BBA AND ARE NOT ENTITLED TO USE THESE LOGO'S IN ANY ADVERTISING. Consumers should beware as you have no protection from these organisations when using Hanson Roofing and Building Ltd because these logo's are being used illegally.”
