Driving just south of Timaru last week when a lady driving a Harrisons carpet vehicle took exception to something I did. She gave me the fingers. I have since had 2 flooring companies quote for a carpet and vinyl job. Obviously I didn't ask Harrisons to quote.

Really bad service, no quote emailed after 2 x requests. The sort of apology was enjoy your new carpet after I excepted a quote from another CO which was $2000 cheaper.😟😟

Harrisons Carpet You came back to discuss concerns re our carpet, some you agreed with and some you didn’t. We did expect a modicum of concern re the fraying edges and the edges in general and the movement of the carpet. We have not received any further communication as to the installer and coming back to tidy the edging discussed. Not happy , disappointing to say the least, perhaps it comes down to the fact that we have purchased and not likely to purchase again in the near future for the lack of after service. Shame on you. We have however purchased carpet from the Harrisons carpets for a property in Glenfield – truly feeling uneasy about this now. As for the other property Harrisons will not be a consideration. I guess it doesn’t make a difference considering it’s a franchise so who cares about the next franchisee missing out on a sale. This email is just to let you know of our thoughts on Harrisons after sales service. Do we want you back in our home -No. Will we recommend – No We will employ and independent carpet layer to tidy up what we paid for.

Really disappointed, the carpet is not what we expected. we were asked if we had pets... we told them we did. You would think they would take this into consideration when they offer you samples. The carpet we have, shows every bit of pet hair, every bit of dirt. The sales man was pushy, and would not allow us to keep a sample here overnight "I have to show it to the next home"... um, other companies allow you to do that. He just wanted a quick sale. I would not recommend this to other people. disappointed.

Waited three months for curtain s then they turned up without the proper screws. It's been 4 weeks and they still haven't finished to complete the job!

Why are u promoting and selling synthetic carpet. When it's past its use by date it is just another large item clogging landfill sites. Support NZ and promote the carpet material we grow here... WOOL. It lasts for a very long time and is biodegradable at the end of its life. It can also carry on with a new life as garden mulch to keep the weeds at bay. Wake up Harrison's and support NZ and climate change. Thanks, Julie.

After 2 years of going back and forth with your Hastings man over, poor laying, faded carpet, being let down by tradies not turning up then making excuses, we have pulled the pin and never ever want anything or anybody to do with Harrisons here again. We will live with the hideous joins until we can afford another carpet. This is a disgrace and we would never recommend your company to anyone.

Awful accusatory email because of bad customer service . Whangarei. If they had sent an email with an apology or shown a bit of empathy I wouldn't be writing this. They took it for granted that I would know that doors need planing after install. I read it in the docs but as no one said anything to me I assumed mine were ok. I sent them an email and got one back with misinformation and quite accusatory. Whangarei need customer service training.

I recently wrote a 1 star review regarding harrisons carpet missing out on a $17k contract because they did not respond to my online quote request and did not respond to the phone message I left They official response from them is that they did not receive the online quote request and they did not receive any phone message because it's a mobile service There was no apology or sorry our system did not pick it up etc. The fact is I did leave a phone message with an operator and I did fill their form Their denial is a pure lie ! You be the judge

Never received my quote, reps were rude because I wasn't available for the length of time they wanted to do their hard sell on me. Didn't want to remove their shoes in my house ( I have new wooden floors & she was in heels) Let them wear them upstairs but then he went & trod all over a white rug, really?? You're a carpet company you should know better

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. The sales process is determined by how long it takes to measure the required rooms and for the customer to choose the product that they want. It is not possible to give an accurate quote if you have not chosen a product. As you were only available for 10 minutes this did not give enough time for you to choose your product and the quote to be completed. Kind regards, Customer Care

Would not use Harrisons ever again. Got charged $998.00 to supply and lay 2m of lino, with carpet was $4800.00 overall. Have got a slightly larger area completed today for $1400.00 less than Harrisons. I would recommend checking pricing with anyone else before getting involved with Harrisons.

Had the guy come for a quote he only gave us one example seems like he was in a hurry was moaning the last job made him get all the carpet out of his van. Wasn't enough to choose from. I left samples to pick up in letter box txted him never heard back from him. He lost a sale. Not happy. Looking at other carpet places now.

Harrisons missed out on a $17k flooring contract because A- they did not respond to the on line quote form that they ask people to fill in - they didn't get back to me B. I rung the store because of A and left a message . No one called back- response It's their loss !

After thinking that I had good service and we got another quote from them, it turns out they were dearer for repeat business and also they chased us up almost two years later for a balance which we had assumed we'd paid. I'm not sure what company operates on not knowing their debtors owe or lack there of. Not impressed and couldn't recommend the Howick branch. The worst part about this was that when they found out payment was required, they never once made a call to speak to directly about it or apologised about their lack of back end account handlings. Only a email asking for the money...

Our carpet looked nothing like the sample we chose within six months of install, even though it was sold as anti-fade. The handling of our concerns was dealt with unsatisfactorily. Would not recommend Harrisons for anything, and will definitely not be using them again.

It's a shame there is not a no star option. Our carpet looked nothing like the sample we choose within six months of install. The handling of our concerns was dealt with unsatisfactorily. Would not recommend Harrison's, we will not be using again for anything.

I posted my review last night. This is your response as cut and pasted from below: "Thank you for your feedback. I understand that this was a long and stressful process for you both. It is disappointing that the outcome has left you feeling so unhappy but I am glad that we came to a mutual resolve". This is a blatant lie. There has been no resolution. In fact, I've been told: "Yes, you're right, this issue is bigger than initially thought...all the best in reaching a resolution....."
