“I bought a set of Global knives from this company and when I received the parcel I got the global box and stand and Richardson Sheffield knives instead of Global. I contacted the company immediately and they told me to send an email, which I did and also attached photos. I sent the email at 9:20 and at 10:30, David Conduit, the company director replied back to me saying that they have looked into it and that I am a thief and they won't exchange, replace or refund and he even said he might contact the police.
I am a chef, and I was so excited to get my global knives and instead I was made a thief and dealt with such indifference and I am so angry and disappointed NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, HARTS OF STUR.”
“Unacceptable!
I bought this set as I my parents in law have recommended Global knives as excellent quality, durable and stainless.
Unfortunately these knives has been a big disappointment as they rusted after one or two washes (hand washing with mild detergent and dried, maybe once not dried within an hour!). I would not give even one star if there was such an option.
The store insists that it is absolutely fine for these knives to rust within a week and refuses a refund or replacement. They just sent them back to us after the "inspection" they did. They keep recommending us hard chemical cleaning products to help with the rust issue which should not even be an issue in the first place as they are new and very expensive.
Our parents have never had this issue with their knives which are now 15 years old, this is clearly a faulty product, yet Harts of Stur denies to acknowledge this.
Waste of money, never buying again or recommending Global or Harts of Stur.”
