I bought a faux leather corner sofa , roughly 2 years ago. In March I contacted you and sent photos of one of the seats where the faux leather is peeling. You replied and said this was due to general wear and tear. The irony is that the seat that is peeling is very rarely used and the ones that are used are not peeling. There are now patches of brown material showing through my slate grey sofa, which I feel is a disgrace on a 2 year old sofa. If you are selling a sofa it should last more than 2 years even with general wear and tear. A sofa is an expensive piece of furniture and I certainly don’t have money to replace one every 2 years. Please please do not buy the faux leather sofa from Harveys

2x sofa ordered December 2019 10th of June 2020 received no contact from Harvey's since will be collecting the showroom models once stores reopening

THEY ARE ONE OF THE MOST UNRELIABLE AND DIFFICULT COMPANIES I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM I very strongly recommend that you DO NOT buy a sofa from this company. I have had the worst customer service experience ever with them. Multiple issues aggravated by non-existent communication and complete lack of respect and understanding from all members of the team. Ordered a sofa in January. Very clearly asked the sales team whether delivery included removal and falsely reassured that it would (most likely in an attempt to get the sale). Later informed that removal was not included. Discussed with the store manager, who was condescending and rude. Use the phrase "it is a like ordering a pizza from mcdonalds". Extremely unprofessional and complain made both by phone and email and have yet to receive any further details since. Subsequently, planned delivery but was informed that finance plan was incomplete by the local store team. Called and reassured that they will immediately process and leave it in their "capable hands" and no need to call main customer service again. Delivery subsequently cancelled understandably for the COVID pandemic. Called by customer services on 5/5/20 to arrange delivery on 26/5. Subsequently delivery cancelled WITHOUT informing me. Had to call customer services (40 mins wait) to be informed due to staff sickness it was cancelled. Again falsely reassured that delivery confirmed for last friday. No sofa arrived, called and informed of ANOTHER error with the finance plan (on their part). Now I have to wait another 2-3 weeks for the sofa delivery. The lady I spoke to this morning was 1. unwilling to acknowledge to difficult experience I have, 2. Lack of empathy to the fact I have an elderly mother who is sitting on a hard chair and having to wait, 3. Unwilling to try to find a resolution to getting a delivery ASAP despite errors on their part on multiple occasions. 4. Strong attitude that she can only sort out the payment otherwise tough luck. 5. Lack of apology of the situation In summary: - COMPLETE LACK OF COMMUNICATION - MULTIPLE CANCELLATIONS - They do not deliver on time, and they do not inform you if they do cancel their order. This is beyond what could be blamed from COVID - Management team are unwilling to have communication with me. I have asked several times and failed to get a willingness to this - Staff are clearly inept in organising deliveries - Staff are RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL EXPERIENCE I AM EXHAUSTED FROM DEALING WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM I DO NOT BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS CAN BE TRUSTWORTHY FROM THE EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD WITH THIS COMPANY

My two new sofas are disgusting I complained after having them 9 days I was told it's natural ware and tare also the dont aline was told it's natural for manufacturers to leave room for movement there customer service is disgracefull some very rude and abrupt Harvey's send a firm round to inspect them what a waste of time they get a great deal of business from Harvey's so are always going to be on there side I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING YOUR NEW SOFAS FROM THEM

Ordered 3No single recliner chairs in January 2020 from there Lakeside shop, It’s now the 27th May and still have not received the goods. The customer service is non existent. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Extremely dissapointing experience. I ordered my lovely new sofa over 6 months ago now, on new years eve. It was due to arrive very early March, then was placed on delay for a month which I was told via email. Then due to coronavirus, was delayed a further two months. As things slowly start to move again after coronavirus, I have to ring up harveys myself to be told they are starting to arrange deliveries (slightly annoying as I'd already waited so long), so they book me a date for in 4 weeks time. I haven't been asked for payment yet. I then get a call 6 days before delivery date to say that I have lost my delivery date as I haven't paid the outstanding balance, even though I was on the phone to customer services a matter of days before and they didn't mention I was due to pay. How is this even possible? The communication throughout this process has been almost non existant. I am then made to pay all of my balance over the phone without being given a new date yet. The customer services member said that she would ring me back that afternoon to confirm and she never did. I feel like they have taken the money from and not held up their part of the deal. Customer service advisor was called Melissa. So frustrating, I was really looking forward to getting the sofa for the 3rd time... Would not buy from here again.

Very poor customer service, first of all it took 5 months to deliver after payment, then it was nothing like that I saw in the store and paid for. After making the complaint regarding the quality of the sofa, it was inspected twice and took photos but nothing was done, didn't hear back anything from them. From my experience, I will never buy anything from Harvey's again. I just have to accept this bad quality sofa until my next purchase.

Simply the worse customer service, delivery promised not met, not accommodating, unable to deal with any inquiries, compensation doesn’t even meet 50% of expenses, only good is the sales people in store promising the world, once you pay you are screwed! Do not waste money on those guys

we ordered our sofa in January told it would be delivered in April. we knew it would be delayed but we thought it was made in Italy when I wrote to customer services to ask exactly where it was MADE they lied and said the middle east, So it seems that they are all made in China. As they have lied I will be trying to get the money back cancelling the insurance and refusing delivery - we have legal rights- I will never trust Harveys again they have the cheek to boast on the website that they have their furniture made in Britain.. very unhappy and disgusted with their duplicity

Customer Service STINKS My mother unfortunately passed away in February, she had purchased a leather suite from Harveys from which she had taken out a five year extended warranty, which still has nearly three years to run. As her next of kin I contact customer service to be told that I needed to send a letter, the original documents and a death certificate to their offices in Accrington, which I duly did. About ten days later I had an email addressed to my mother saying that I have to have a letter of power of attorney to be able to proceed!! As you can imagine this was very upsetting, since then emails have been flying backwards and forwards and we are still no further forward. I will never buy from this lot again and I would urge everyone to think very carefully before they enter into any form of contract with them.

Store staff excellent. ordered 3 pce suite March 2019 to value of £3000. Quoted 12 weeks delivery, arrived after 19 weeks. Quality awful and rejected , this was accepted by the inspector sent.Many faults , not least chair was different colour and finish to the rest of the furniture. Agreed to take old suite away as compensation for delay, unco-operative delivery men declined but customer services said "I should arrange and they would pay.. " obviously a misunderstanding as they then offered only £50 which was inadequate as I had to pay a disposal charge as the old suite was left outside in a thunderstorm. Promised payment in August '19 , received after much chasing in March 2020. Replacement suite is of very poor quality and nothing like showroom example . Good luck if you have to deal with customer services - they are polite - but in the interests of your sanity DO NOT BELIEVE AN Y PROMISES made. I have previously bought satisfactory goods from the company but NEVER AGAIN.

Ordered suite on 23 December 2019. Delivery end March/beginning April. After letter re Chinese new year extention I rang. Customer services said they couldnt speak to me as husbands name on order. They were quite happy for me to pay deposit!!! Now told delivery should be 24th may. Told them wouldn't have ordered if we'd have known made in China and was told they were made in UK. So whose lying because somebody is. Will never deal with them again. I think also the way their prices go up and down they stick their finger in the air to see which way the winds blowing!

Ordered sofas in January and was told 12 weeks to delivery. Received a letter today to say that there is a delay. Because of Chinese New year being extended . No mention of sofa being made in china. I wouldn't have purchased it. Probably delayed because of the virus. I honestly thought they were made in this country. Do not want anything from China. Not happy.

Deliver turnt up said he can’t get down the road, said they were going to get a smaller van for the store 10 minutes away. Never turnt up ! Customer service said they took it back the store and left it there? The store said they haven’t got it? Customer manager said no manager will take the call?? Now I have been left with no sofa. Quick enough to harass us for payment and now we have no answers to where our store is and when we will get it ! Don’t ever buy a sofa from this company

Don’t order your suite from any Harvey’s shop, ordered ours on 1st jan 2020, told 14 weeks, would be delivered 1st week in April?got a letter this morning, seems our suite hs been delayed in the Far East, due to Chinese government extending the new year holiday, now expect suite to be delivered in in June 2 months more than originally quoted. By the way never informed that suits made in China? Otherwise we would never have bought the suit, seen most of the reviews not surprised that the quality is so bad, was told the suit was made to British craftsmanship, not Chinese. Think the customer service is diabolical and not yet had any sympathy, accept that it’s not there fault the Chinese put another weeks exstention on to the new year holiday , and somehow this equates to a two month delay, let’s hope the quality is better than the ones in these reviews . Will never buy from Harvey’s again that’s for sure. Disgruntled customer

Bought a leather sofa with electric reclining withing a few months the sofa base cushion started to sink, I can feel the metal frame underneath while sitting and I weigh 13.5 stone, I got on to Harvey’s customer service after a marathon white on the phone with around about 40 minutes they arranged to send a contract around I think they’re from HomeServe the guy completely made excuses for this poorly made up of that leather sofa let’s sing teen when you sit on it and you can fit all the metalwork they sent me a letter saying the sofa was okay if I wanted a second opinion I left to pay for it, What is really annoying I’m still making the monthly payments for a sofa that is a wreck that doesn’t suit the purpose that it is supposed ie sitting comfortably on avoid Harveys like the plague I’m thinking of going to fair trading to try and do something about Harvey’s

Ordered sofa on 12/10/2019...Told delivery would be dec, January, Feb and now March(which again they changed twice for march) Sort your yourselves out Harvey's. We haven't paid thousands of pounds for you to be messing us around. Delivered 11/03/2020 Took them 5 MONTHS TO MAKE AND DELIVER and the colour we chose was "In stock item' which meant delivery turnaround would be 8-10 weeks. The sofa itself is beautiful and I did have an eye on another sofa for my other lounge and a dining table. Unfortunately we will NOT BE BUYING FROM HARVEYS AGAIN after they messed us around

Appalling- told 7 weeks delivery for table and chairs- when the seven weeks lapsed I called and asked for the delivery date, I was told it was another 9 weeks. We contacted customer services to cancel the order and they wanted to charge us 20% even when it was there Fault. Eventually got our money back but Avoid Waterlooville store, Ian at the store didn’t even apologise. Wasted so much of our time -Never again
