Very poor customer support for potential claim. Spent total of 45 minutes on the phone - 20 mins on hold, then ages repeating a huge amount of info that was already given at policy purchase time. Only to be told outright incorrect information about how/if the claim could be pursued. Resulting in the operator telling me "as you don't want to pursue a claim we'll mark this as info only". The opposite of what I was trying to achieve!

I had an accident and my car has now been sitting for over a week with no indication of what is happening. My car is currently sitting with the recovery company who picked the car up after the accident. Hedgehog say that they do not deal with the recovery company as they are a 3rd party company and the 3rd party company say there is no garage willing to take the car. I have a coutesy car as part of my policy but only until the end of the month which is fast approaching and there has been no progress with my car. I have phoned every day to be told there is nothing that can be done and yesterday was told a manger would call me back by the end of the day which did not happen. I have never experienced this type of service with an insurance company before.

Great until you need to make a claim. I'm claiming for damage caused by a driver while I was parked 9months ago. I have CCTV of her driving into my car and causing the damage, but I still haven't had my claim settled and closed. Also it took them 2 MONTHS to reply to an email, and when I call it says the phone lines are closed. I do not recommend if you want any useful communication with a human.

Absolutely shambolic customer service, don’t get call backs, and they make it more or less impossible to claim. Really really frustrating company. Please don’t buy insurance from them.

Very bad experience dealing with the one claim I have had so far (took over 1 year to resolve). Now you have managed to duplicate so I have 2 car insurance policies for the same car! To top it off, when you have made a mistake you make it impossible to phone anyone to revolve it and your online chat - well, it it even manned by a human being? If so at what times/days of the week? You need to make it clear as I wasted a lot of time trying to get through to a human on Saturday after you debited in full for a 2nd policy for the same car. Deeply regret not paying a few quid extra now for another provider!

Completely rubbish, I switched to a car which was half the price of my old one and was charged £60!! £30 was an admin fee, eh? It's an automated system, how can there be an admin fee, will not be renewing. If the numerous 4-6 word reviews on here are real I'll eat my hat, this listing is full of fake reviewers. After leaving a 1 star review following an issue with the website stating my insurance quote I obtained from Money Super Market could not be honored, the customer service team emailed me a link to my quote within minutes, in which I was able to process. Thank you for picking this up so quickly. It was very efficient and provides confidence that even though we can't talk, you are there monitoring activity to ensure customers have what they require to proceed without too much hassle.

Come to renewal I found another insure I should of had 3 years no claims however there’s an open car insurance claim case since February we are now in august I’ve bender been made aware of also a 50/50 claim when I’ve had no correspondence from them and I was on my side of the road driver drive off so I called my insurance put it all on the system so didn’t go down as hit and run as other driver only took a photo of my reg plate went to get my 3 years no claims derticate for it to state 0 no claims and open case so messed up my new insurance completely and now I’m having to chase hedgehog after being told the person handling my case would contact me however still no contact I really do not recommend as if your hit on your side of the road they willing to make you pay half Highway Code goes out the window clearly

I was told when I rang about a smashed window on my car it wouldn't affect my no claims and it has took my years no claims off my car, I have no took out a new insurance and claimed I had 1 years no claims and now need to declare it and I can't!

To charge £58 to update a registration is excessive, considering this was updated by myself online and not calling to get someone to do over the phone.

There were issues with the web page not loaded and then stating a sever error, took several attempts but did get there in the end
