my OTP phone number was incorrect. I'm on my 10th phone call and still not sorted. Have spoken to about 15 different people. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS BANK.

Stay clear from HSBC business banking. Their security practises are flawed. I went to report a fraudulant transaction, they couldnt tell me what the transaction was and had to pass me to another team. I had allready passed telephone security at this point. During the transfer i had an automated response asking me to put in my security code??? Which i did, unsuccessfuly. My account is now locked and the team i was passed onto, say they are unable to help with this Fraud case i raised until my account is unlocked by customer services, which wont be until monday!!!! Lets hope there are not any more transactions coming in over the weekend! HSBC are a complete joke. Stay well clear.

Awful customer service. When I called to say I'd misplaced my card they asked me security questions that were difficult to answer such as what was the 9th digit on my card and what I had spent £8.90 on 3 days previous. When I tried to guess these they then said I'd failed and froze my account. My daughter then found the card whilst I was on the phone to them so I told them not to worry the cards been found. Three days later when I tried to make a payment my card wasn't working so called again. They were very unhelpful and almost rude. I offered to email a copy of my driving licence and give other details to verify who I was to which I was told they can't access emails! Asked then to speak to a manager and 1 week later I'm still waiting for a call and my account is still frozen. Very frustrating I've now not had access to my account for 2 weeks. I will never bank with them again.

I'm an HSBC Premier customer . The customer service even for this type of account is awful , it takes ages to answer calls , unable to perform simple tasks and everything is so slow.

You have made it increasingly difficult to access my account with your multiple verification procedures, and now have forced me to the mobile phone app which I did not want to do. I gain nothing from keeping this account and despite having banked with HSBC for 40 years, I will be closing this account within this month.

First of all, I would like to say that this bank does not even deserve 1 Star. I would give them 0.0. I´m running several businesses around Europe and one of our accounts is at HSBC. I never experienced such a shitty service, I can´t even name this service. We are moving a few millions over the account and don´t even have a responsible person for us. Every time, you are enforced to go through the business hotline, what a disaster. As a CEO, I spend out of my last 3 days, 1 day in hanging on the hotline. You are moved from one person to another, are asked stupid questions and finally kicked out of the hotline because the person was for some reason not hearing you anymore. Next attempt, same shitty process and experience again. Can you show a single Bank on the planet who is acting like that? Let me give you some other examples. You are trying to transfer money to a new supplier. Hmm, all my other Banks are just doing it. HSBC identifies each time a fraud and without informing, calling, doing anything, they are closing your account. What the f.... Welcome to another 2 hours in our great hotline. My recommendation: Stay far away from this Bank. I would never ever work with this Bank again and are currently closing the account....

To the person behind log on for customers: Go F yourself. You should be sacked for making this so tedious

I've been trying to log on yet again. I have put in my username, my password, my memorable answer, my two security questions, and my digital secure key password, but I still can't gain access and am yet again locked out. I was told two or three weeks ago that it was going to be made easier for us all; I just hope this isn't the easier log-on. I have to drive a mile away to a hole-in-the-wall machine to find out how much money I have in my account. Vicky Rose key pin,

App/online security is absolutely archaic, no concern for UX. Like something from the 90s, can't even login without waiting for snail mail...

Tried opening a basic account for my son over a month ago. My passport id check failed (no idea why), his passport id check failed (no idea why). Called last week and was promised a call back the next day to sort the issue, didn't receive the call. Called again and was made the same promise - didn't receive the call again. Called again today and now my original application has expired because it's been over a month since I applied, so I'm expected to go through the same process all over again. Absolutely useless! Was told to visit a branch with my son to open his account instead which involves having to drive into town to a branch to make the appointment, then drive back in for the appointment! I didn't have the choice of just making the appointment over the phone with the branch. Checked the branch opening times and HSBC is no longer open at weekends, just 9am to 3pm weekdays. How the hell am I supposed to take my son into a branch and open an account for him when he's at school and I'm at work during the week? Avoid this bank at all costs, absolute shower of muppets. I would have expected more from a well established, international bank. instead you get overseas call centres, ridiculously long call waiting times and limited branch opening hours.

Account with large positive balance closed after I had been with HSBC for 40+ years. No reasons given all requests for reasons refused. They are a shambles. They are liars and cheats. I was in the process of moving house and I was left in the lurch.

Don't use this bank - i's worse nightmare to deal with them. We submitted application for our daughter and year later no account and no feedback. We visited multiple times branches and made many calls to customer service, but no help. Me and my wife are taking our business elsewhere. I can't work with bank which doesn't communicate with customer and where staff is highly incompetent! Rafal

Seriously, never bank with HSBC. I have a couple dozen credit cards, never had a meaningful issue with any of them. Nothing but issues with HSBC as they find all transactions to be suspicious, and they will require you go into their branch to repeatedly prove you made the charge (in one example, I bought toothpaste at the corner store; HSBC froze my card telling me to call to confirm that I made the purchase; I called and they asked me some identifying questions; I got all the answers right—even faxing them a copy of my ID and my electric bill; still, they told me I'd have to drive to their branch to show my ID to prove I made the charge; I asked why and the agent said he heard voices in the background that seemed like they might be "coaching me". So, because I had "The View" on in another room, and Joy Behar is a loud talker, I had to drive to an HSBC branch.) Their ineptness would be comedic if the nearest HSBC wasn't 50 miles away. They are an endless waste of time. And their telephone customer service is not only incompetent, but also shockingly rude. All the popular customer reviews sites are loaded with expierences like mine, and there's a reason their average rating on most customer review websites is dismal (1 out of 5 star averages on most sites), they are truly awful.

It has been 5 weeks since you closed our church account and you have still not given us our money. Where is our churches money, have you spent it. How are we supposed to pay bills and help other charities. Your customer service is terrible and we cannot find anyone to speak to here. Disgusting behaviour from your so called bank. Stay away from this bank, they steal your money.
