Hughes people are AMAZING! Their service is quick and efficient from the people arranging the deliveries to the people performing the task. And not just that!They overcome difficulties and any occurring inconvenience and go above and beyond! Although the lift to my apartment(6th floor!) was not working on the delivery day,they still managed to get my fridge upstairs and remove my old one. Absolute professionals- thank you Hughes!!

Very rude delivery drivers. They left our 85”inches TV out. They haven’t came for delivery at scheduled time. They came early morning 6to 6:30 where we couldn’t even ask help to our neighbours. I bought this TV for my pregnant wife where she was so unhappy with the service. Atleast they should have help us to carry through the staircase. And delivery person have asked for 200 to do so. And unnecessary laughing and mocking customer. Which ruined our whole day. I have ordered this TV and particularly selected on 23rd day which is my wife birthday. These delivery people spoiled our day totally . Unhappy because of delivery people. If you can’t do the delivery properly then better don’t take this big TV order. They cut my call while speaking about this matter to customer service

They didn’t honour the cash back payment. That’s why I decided to buy from them. Big mistake, which I won’t make again.

Drivers parked over dropped curb outside sheltered accommodation Meant for wheelchair users, when brought to drivers attention got abusive, highway code section 45 Obviously doesn't give a hoot about disabled people and their carers nor the highway code.

I never heard of them but I found a good cashback offer on quidco for them. I placed a big order and raised a claim for the cashback as the transaction wasn't tracked on quidco. 3 months after, it turns out Hughes declined my cashback claim without providing a specific reason. Never again!

I drove 52 miles on Sunday to pick up a dishwasher from thetford conformation email in hand . Your order will be ready for collection from 8am on 20th September from thetford warehouse. This being highlighted in blue. I arrived at 12 noon to find it all locked up . My wife has just called you to find you totally unhelpful and has now got a refund . Her words were that you couldn't give a s%$#

Purchased a dishwasher from their eBay store which arrived dented & cracked, received £50 back (they offered less at first) a week later it broke down so we got the manufacturer to come out to look at it. They reckon it had fallen over in transit which then flooded the anti flood switch. Tried to get a straight swap with hughes to avoid being without one for ages but not only did they point blank refuse this they arranged a courier to take it back from a refund without even checking the date was ok with me first! Thought I would give the company a go as not used them before but would certainly never use them again. Oh, and you can't even ring them to sort issues out unless you fancy running up a huge phone bill with their premium rate customer services number!!!

Rent my washing machine from hughes. First time it goes wrong they came out couldn't fix it . Under rental agreement they are supposed to bring g a new one within a couple of days. But oh no I have to wait 10 days as apparently no delivery slots. Took a day off work to wait in as they cant commit to a time around my work shift was told will call first thing with a 3 hour delivery window. Mo call came phoned them to be told the store had booked tomorrow instead . Cant get that day off work so now got to wait another week as they wont fit it in around my shifts I have to choose a day i can wait all day. Not good service made me disappointed in hughes. Was pleased i rented from them as supposed to be piece of mind . Not so sure now . Hopefully i wont need to call them out again if i am going to be treated like that

Basicly I ordered a TV online filled out the form and for finance,finance went through okay but the order didn't phoned them and they said they would sort it out, I had to contact them 3 times and every time they said they would sort it but never did so went with ebuyer such a smooth transaction purchased from them before and the same tv was £120 cheaper bargain!!

We bought a Bosch Fridge freezer from Hughes and it was advertised as frost free. On arrival we found it was not frost free and went into store to report this and they checked their website and it was not frost free. Dave the salesman saw the manager and they did not quibble they owned up to their mistake and said they would do a exchange. We have bought many electrical items over the years and have never had a problem. Their prices are very competitive and their delivery is first class.

RENTING GOODS UNFIT FOR PURPOSE.BREAKDOWN AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF USE.CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT GOOD.OFTEN IGNORE YOUR CONTACT WITH THEM.SEND DEMANDS FOR MONTHLY RENTAL EVEN WHEN YOU TELL THEM GOODS NOT WORKING FOR WEEKS.SAME GOODS YOU CAN RENT CHEAPER ELSEWHERE,THAT ARE NEW AND NOT RECONDITIONED.

I filed a return request via Amazon and they didn't get back to me within the 2 days. Having seen such poor reviews abut their damaged goods and no follow ups etc I decided to look for a phone number for them. 03448712131. They arranged a collection date for me. So I'd call them if no joy.

Machine delivered damaged, but could not be seen until unpacked. Hughes refuse to accept that and say I must have damaged the machine. Never known customer service to call someone a liar. Bunch of jokers. Stay well clear.

Never had a bad word to say until now, our washing maching rented by Hughes was in use and the glass broke on a cycle. When we went to empty we found it and had water and glass everywhere. Lucky it was in a back room with old flooring with concrete underneath, so after calling them and admittidly they was good and got a new one to be delivered in only two days, but then discovered my daughters clothes had holes in them from where it had continued to go around the cycle. I put in a claim for the receipts I could find but all I get back is a letter saying they believe it was done via a foreign object in the machine or before. I am disgusted because I am no liar and nothing was in the machine but the clothes as normal. I feel it just a normal case of they say anything to get out of paying out. Obviously a manufacturing problem with the glass not being stable as have had it over a year but their responsibilty still. I used to have only good things to say about them but am totally disgusted with the way the head office have been towards this. Be warned if you ever use them and have to claim. In reply to your comment I have been in contact with Director. After being told I could only claim for the stuff I had receipts for I found all the reciepts as I keep and even scan my receipts for everything. I sent them at the start and still got told it was a foreing object. I complained and got offered a much smaller amount. It is not a game, we pay extra for insurance when renting so you tell me what is the point when all we get is an excuse. Why should we pay when every excuse is made for them not to pay out. Sorry but I have cancelled my stuff and will never use again. I find it shameful that we are treated this way. I find it just pure greed. I have now bought outright after working out that the money I spend renting is much higher that buying them and even added monthly insurance on my products that even covers me for accidental damage. Will never rent from them again as works out much more when I could but outright each year and have decent cover. You loss Hughes.
