Potential customers should be careful: Indow customer service is careless and unprofessional. The timeline my fiance was quoted for four window inserts was 1 week for the brackets and laser measure to arrive from Portland and around 3 weeks for production and shipping. Customer service forgot to ship out the laser and brackets for a week until we called to ask for tracking. We submitted our measurements the day after these arrived. It's now been more than half a month and we still haven't received the quote and production still hasn't started - this is with us being very responsive to communications from Indow. Our new place is on a very busy street and the more this is delayed, the less value we get from the inserts since this a rental. We're now not optimistic at all that the original timeline will be met given the lackluster customer service. We've been as proactive as we could with the whole process and are at our wits' end being told that it would "just take another day" for the package to ship, for the quote to be finalized, etc. Buyer beware!!

I back onto a busy road, so I was looking for a solution to reduce the noise. After much research, I bought one Indow insert to see if it makes a big difference and planed to get them for the entire house if the test went well. I had no issues with the fit...actually fit like a glove. The result...it does reduce the noise somewhat especially tire/road noise. Does pretty much nothing for engine/exhaust noise. Now why just one star? I have two issues. First, with the insert installed, it creates air pressure which causes the insert to push out which was super annoying having to push them back into position everyday. Second and a HUGE issue for me is that I have Vinyl windows facing west and it got so hot that these inserts baked and melted my window frames. After a summer, my windows were so warped that I couldn't get my screen out and needed to replace my window. My house is brand new (2 year old) with brand new windows so old windows are not the blame. I regret my purchase because not only did I lose the $1500 for the insert, I am also out the cost to replace my brand new window. Bottom line is that if you have vinyl windows, don't buy these inserts.

The Indow window inserts did not work as intended. Within days, both swelled out and opened to the sides, allowing air in. Unfortunately, this led to significant condensation, causing a lots of water flows down to the partition and floor. Dissatisfied with the performance.

Brian, We are sorry to hear of these issues. As you know, we have followed up with remedial steps and provided guidance for resolving this issue. Our inserts have been shown to improve condensation issue in nearly every situation when the fit is correct. We hope that the remedial steps and assistance we have given has since addressed this fit issue and that a revision to this review will soon result. Thanks for working with us to address this fit issue with your inserts.

These inserts did absolutely nothing to reduce road noise. Do not waste your money.

Chastity, We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the noise reduction you were expecting. In most such cases, the fit/seal is the issue. We are reaching out now to walk you through the fit troubleshooting process. Factors such as the space between the inserts and the window can affect noise reduction performance. As every sound environment is unique, sometimes outside sound is transferred by/through other elements in the room besides the window areas. We look forward to working with you to assess and ensure you are maximizing the noise reduction performance of your inserts. We feel confident that these troubleshooting efforts will help resolve the issue and boost this score up regarding your order.

Juliana, Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction you had been looking for. We will reach out to troubleshoot the fit of the inserts, as proper fit and placement have a great deal to do with the noise reduction performance. We have found that this troubleshooting either solves the issue or identifies that other issues in the sound environment besides the noise entering through the window areas may be at play. We look forward to the chance to use our good service to help to add some additional stars to this review. Thanks for your patience as we get this issue resolved.

Not happy at all with my inserts. We live behind a rather busy 2 lane road and the traffic noise is rather loud. The inserts maybe block 10% of the traffic noise. I knew there would still be noise but had such high hopes that it would block more sound. TBH some does it doesnt even sound like we have window inserts. I have watched videos and am confident they are in right as well. I was really hoping these would block more noise than they do and am very disappointed.

We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction that you were expecting. Our records show that you had inquired about some gaps in the fit which are likely the key reason why the sound reduction is not as substantial. We offer a snug fit guarantee, so in cases where there are such fit issues, we offer remedial assistance including remakes if necessary. To that end we have followed up several times to troubleshoot the gaps issue since it was reported to us. As yet, we have received no response. We will continue to contact you in hopes that we can troubleshoot the fit of your inserts and maximize the sound reduction properties. We look forward to getting this issue resolved for you.

Kenneth, Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry that you are not experiencing the sound reduction you had expected. Proper fit and adjustment within the window frame to increase air space between the insert and the window are essential to maximizing sound reduction performance. We are happy to troubleshoot with you to ensure the fit and placement are corrected. While our inserts have been proven in independent test to reduce sound coming through window areas, all sound environments are unique and sometimes additional soundproofing measures are required in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired results.

The insert we bought hasn't made much of a difference at all. Very little change. Very disappointed that we spent that much money on this to not improve our situation.

Decibel reading prior to install of as 34.4 (World health organization advises to have decent sleep should be below 30) after install reading was 32.1 so a two decibel reduction. Fit was good install was easy.

Jesse, Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction you had hoped for. We will reach out to you and ensure fit and placement is not affecting the performance. As all sound situations are unique, there are many variables that can contribute to sound entering a room. While our inserts have been proven independently to significantly reduce sound through the window openings, it is sometimes necessary to utilize other soundproofing measures in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired results. Variables such as wall and home construction materials and the proximity and nature of the sound can be at play and can transfer sounds through areas other than the windows. Low frequency sounds are especially hard to mitigate as they can be transferred through walls, etc. Once again, we are happy to help you maximize the performance of your inserts and will reach out accordingly. It is our hope that through some troubleshooting, we can improve the sound reduction.

Daniel, Thanks for the feedback. Our inserts are covered by both a limited lifetime warranty on manufacturer defects, etc. and a SnugFit guarantee for fit issues. When hearing of the fit issue with your inserts, we worked with you to resolve the issue. We also discussed ways to ensure that the inserts were maximizing their sound reduction properties in your space. However, in many situations, due to the many other variables in a sound environment, additional soundproofing methods may need to be used in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired result. We are open to discussing this with you further and have reached out to facilitate this continue discussion. While we are sorry that you are not experiencing the results that you were looking for, we hope that through this continued discussion we can assist change that experience.

We contacted the company (Indow Windows) through an online 20% off promotion (WOW20). The company replied through email to schedule an estimation meeting. The only available selections for the meeting were for after the promotion had ended. We conducted the phone meeting and received the estimate with only 15% off (the now current promotion being offered). We inquired about the discrepancy in the discount, and we were offered an additional 2%, now bringing the total discount to 17%. This appears to be a bait and switch advertisement, and the company sales team will not acknowledge why we are not being given the promotional discount that was offered at our intended time to purchase and first point of contact. It seems that they purposefully delayed the estimation meeting to reduce the discount from 20% to 15%. The product is quite expensive and the immature and questionable nature of the sales strategy has us puzzled.

Hello. There seems to be a misunderstanding - our WOW22 (Winter of Warmth) promotion is still ongoing and offers up to 20% off on completed orders over $4,500 before 12/31/22. We'd be happy to connect with you and answer any questions you have about the offer. There is still time to get your order processed and take advantage of our Winter Of Warmth promotion!

Do Not! work with this company. They are rude and are not upfront on charges! I returned a measurement kit that I had to PAY for and when then processed the refund they took $50.00 for service fees! They did nothing except send a kit out to measure my window! When I got the notification for the refund I called and the people at the company that I spoke to told me that it was their policy. When I reported that NO ONE told me I would be charged a $50 fee if I decided against the product they didn't care! BUYER BEWARE! You don't see samples of the product UNTIL you pay for the measuring kit! If you decide against the product you pay $50!

Thanks for the feedback. We are very sorry that you feel your experience was not optimal. We strive to be clear in both written and verbal interaction about the measuring kit deposit. While our records show that this was indeed communicated to you, we are sorry you feel it was not made clear. The deposit is taken for the laser measuring kit to cover shipping and the cost if the customer should lose the kit. This deposit is applied as a credit if the order goes forward. If the order is not place the service fee is charged to cover the shipping expenses to and from the location as well as brief processing time. The laser measuring device is optional, as accurate tape measurements can be made as well. Samples can be sent out independently of the laser measurement kit at no cost to the customer. We are sorry that you were not clear on that, but hope that this response allows others to know the process. It is also worth noting that in your case, the laser measurement device was in your possession for 3 months, far longer than customary allotted time to complete the measurements and return the kit. During this 3 months, we reached out multiple times on several different channels to assist with measuring and offer guidance about the process. We received no responses during this time to our communications. We take great pride both in the product we offer and the services we provide. While we are indeed sorry that you feel aggrieved, we feel that we have been clear throughout the process and have done our due diligence to offer assistance and clarity.

Run as far as you can. After being charged almost as much to ship the product as the cost of the product itself, they dropped off the face of the planet. The order apparently arrived in our area, had some kind of transport issue, and we never got a straight answer weeks later. Now customer service just won’t responding and I’m exploring options to get my money back for fraud. Just DO NOT do business with this company.

We certainly understand your frustration. We are frustrated with this experience as well. The state of the shipping industry is extremely strained and this situation was certainly extreme. While we manufactured and sent on schedule, extended delays caused by the shippers and misinformation given to us by the shipping companies involved have created this issue. While we have been responding promptly and doing our best to communicate the information and updates we have been given, we understand the impact that the delay and the lack of clarity of the updates has had on you. As a small company, we have built our success on excellent service from the first contact onward. It is difficult when the industries that we rely on to get our product safely to our customers prevent us from meeting that standard. We certainly understand that this situation is not the way things should go and will continue to monitor this until it is safely delivered.

I bought it with high hopes to eliminate the outside noise issue that plagues me from working effectively from home and it only muffles the sound. The Indow videos from influencers and the website looked like a miracle but ultimately I should've known it was too good to be true.

We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction you had hoped for. All sound situations are unique, with variables such as wall construction materials that can necessitate additional soundproofing methods in conjunction with our inserts. We will reach out separately to ensure that the fit and placement of your inserts are ensuring that your sound reduction performance is being maximized. We thank you for your feedback and hope that our troubleshooting efforts will improve the noise reduction results for you.

Rachel, Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We are concerned by your response, both about the lack of performance you have reported and the visibility. Because our inserts have been independently tested to reduce sound coming through the window areas, we would like an opportunity to work with you to ensure proper placement and fit, as these are usually the causes for reduced performance. Regarding visibility, our inserts are made with optical grade acrylic (clearer than glass). They do ship with a semi-opaque protective film that would need to be removed. Perhaps this was not removed as instructed? We will reach out separately to discuss both fit/placement and to ensure the film has been removed properly. While all sound situations are unique, we believe strongly that with a bit of troubleshooting, we can ensure the sound reduction available in your situation can be maximized.

Drew Murdock sold me some window inserts. Promised that they would significantly reduce the sound of the street entering my home. Bought them. They were installed. And, I haven't noticed any sizeable difference to justify the hefty price tag. I want my money back. I've voiced my dissatisfaction with the company and no has provided any remedy to this complaint. Buyers beware. Purchase from elsewhere!

Indow stands behind the sound testing information we share about sound reduction that customers can expect from our inserts. However, we do not make performance guarantees because every noise situation is different and depends on many factors including the building, the source of the noise, the frequency of the noise and importantly, the client's perception of noise reduction. Because Indow did not transact with you directly, we are not able to respond to your concerns. Our resellers are trained to assess each situation and discuss possible outcomes with their client. We encourage you to discuss your concerns with your reseller.

Very bad experience. There was no noise reduction whatsoever and the company says performance cant not be guaranteed. Stay away.

Thanks for engaging with us. We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction that you expected. In our follow-up with you regarding this issue, it was explained that because each home and office provides a unique sound situation, sound reduction performance can vary. The construction materials in walls, etc. can allow sound to get in through more than just the window openings. Although our inserts have been independently tested to show their performance at reducing sound, depending on the environment, other soundproofing methods may be necessary due to the other variables in the home or office. We offer a SnugFit guarantee to ensure proper fit and a limited lifetime guarantee for manufacturing integrity. Due to the many variables in each unique sound environment, we cannot offer a specific guarantee on sound reduction performance. For this reason, our fit specialists work with customers before the sale to help the customer understand the variability of each sound environment. We are indeed sorry that our inserts were not the complete soundproofing solution you were hoping for. We certainly suggest employing other soundproofing techniques to work in conjunction with our inserts to help bring quiet into your home. We are happy to continue working with you on your situation to ensure the performance of your inserts is being maximized.

Disappointed. I bought 6 window inserts for my bedroom and living room that face a busy street. I don’t feel like they have made any difference, and possibly have made some sounds slightly louder than before. I’m not sure if having larger windows is why they don’t work as advertised, but after spending a lot of money on these I don’t think they were worth it at all. Also, if you have larger windows you will need two people to install them. I had to have my sister fly in for a visit to help me, which is annoying since they don’t even work. And on top of that I still have to figure out how to get rid of the large wood/cardboard packing materials they were delivered in.

Holly, Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction that you had anticipated. We are happy to help you troubleshoot the fit of the windows to ensure we are maximizing the noise reduction properties. Every sound environment is indeed unique, with sound sometimes entering through areas other than the window openings. In these cases, other soundproofing measures may be necessary. Thank you for pointing out that larger windows may require an extra set of hands. While our inserts are lightweight, it is useful to have another person available for larger inserts. As to the packing material, most areas offer convenient recycling for the cardboard and wood material in our packaging. For those options, you should check with your local municipality for offerings. We appreciate the feedback and certainly would appreciate the opportunity to ensure you are getting the most out of the inserts.

One window 52 inches wide and 49 inches high, over 600.00 dollars. A high grade hurricane proof, energy efficient window of the same size is less than half the cost. What am I missing, they advertise as a low cost alternative for noise and energy efficiency with no protection for adverse weather conditions. Look at alternatives people this is not anywhere near an affordable or an effective solution. It's a gimmick! A
