“Omdat jullie maar blijven vragen om een eerlijke review : Ik heb van JimmyJoy gehoord van een lange afstandshiker die het gebruikt als hij een week of meer uit bewoonde gebieden is en licht en makkelijk voedsel mee moet nemen. Ik heb het onlangs gebruikt bij een wildkampeerweek in de Vogezen waar we voor 6 dagen ons eigen eten meenamen. Ik had me verdiept in JimmyJoy en alleen JimmyJoy meegenomen als lunch en avondeten. Het was niet mijn smaak. De shake gaat wel, de lunchrepen zijn erg droog en het avondeten was redelijk voor één keer. Maar toen moest ik nog 5 dagen. ;-) Erg ééntonig eten. Het irritante is dat ik de anderen lekker eten zag klaar maken, meer verse producten hadden en daar zat ik dan met mijn shake die ik na drie dagen niet meer kon zien. Van de kant en klare chocolade drank werd ik misselijk. Daarnaast stoor mij bij JimmyJoy aan de engelstalige mailing van een NL bedrijf en de moderne Social media manier van hele blije mensen op de foto om het product aan te prijzen. Een te hoog Tele2 niveau. Ik gebruik het ook daardoor niet meer. Wel zijn ze erg vriendelijk in persoonlijke mail en ik kreeg heel snel mijn 'niet goed/ geld terug'. Ik ben blijkbaar te oud voor deze stijl van marketing en dit voedsel ;-) Voor anderen misschien wel prima allemaal.”

I made an order of 2 protein powers, the pre-made meal replacement juice, the bars, and 4 meal replacement powders. The meal replacement is amazing, I take it as breakfast at 8 am to go to uni and I don't get hungry until 12-1. Also, the flavors are amazing! I ordered chocolate, caramel, pistachio and coconut. I did not like pistachio but the others were delicious and low sugar, I love it, so you should give a try to other flavours in case you dont like the one you got. The proteins are amazing, the bars and the pre-made shake, I loveeee ittt!!!!!! This literally solves your hunger and makes you feel with energy and its healthy, super cool for weight loss. Additional, I love the design of the packs, so funny and pretty to have in the kitchen, love the whole branding. I suscribed to get this products alwaysss, the only thing I am missing to try is the prepared foods but maybe next time I get it, my kitchen is full of jimmy joy and I love it.”

“The texture is far superior to the standard powdered Huel that I have tried. The huel is thick and slimy, where Plenny is still thick enough to make you feel satiated but not slimy at all in my opinion. More similar to a thick protein powder. Very good, definitely won me over from Huel. Just wish there were larger bags, but the pricing is still comparable to other brands anyway.”

“I tried Jimmy Joy after using another similar product for a year but hearing that Jimmy Joy shakes mixed and tasted better. Unfortunately the latter has not been my experience. I find the fine powder that covers your teeth when drinking off-putting (sort of like the feeling after eating cooked spinach). The vanilla flavor should be named “coconut” instead; I don’t like coconut. So I regret my order and will likely not finish the bag.”

“So far I've tried meal substitutes such as hot meals (plenny pot) and cold ones (plenny shake) and I found them perfect for my needs. I'm quite lazy and I like not having to prepare or wait for the meal. They are cheap and tasty. The shakes very much. Recommended.”

“I love the plenny bars usually. Was very happy the Cherry flavour came back in stock. However it has a very strong chemical aftertaste. Is this an issue in all batches? Bit dissapointed. Otherwise very positive about the bars.”

“I got bundle to have a try of everything. Whilst I haven't tried the dried food yet, the rest was overall very good. The powder lacks flavour a lot and I got banana milkshake to give it a flavour boost. The bars are very big and tasty. Good snack to have when peckish.”

“The Plenny Shake is an extremely well thought out product. What i like best about it is the plethora of nutrition it provides whilst eschewing stomach-curdling preservatives like citric acid. It also tastes very good and dissolves well in milk or water. My ONLY quibble is that they don't ship by DHL, UPS, or FEDEX. The shipping is the only weak link of the chain.”

“UPDATE: Customer service was great! Was initially dissapointed but as with any company, good customer relations is 80% of the experience. They seemed very knowledgable on the ingredients too! They also processed a refund no questions ask (I've had to pull teeth to get companies to do so before). I updated to 4 stars, the last star being the product I didn't like being subjective. (Appologies if this posts a duplicate review instead of updating :P) Unfortunately I wont be ordering again. **I'm sure people like the flavor**, but I didn't, and I fear that the undesirable flavor permiates the product line as a fascet of whatever primary ingredient it is I dont like. Do take a chance for yourself, but this is my experience solely: A quick [relevent] story: So I have been drinking Soylent-brand meal shakes since their version 1.3. Every new version of Soylents was fundamentally different and took adjustment but was never terrible. The Soylent company then released v1.9 which had a taste profile that was unstomachable. It was like the taste of vulcanized rubber + orange juice while licking a 9-volt battery. (Why the 9-volt? It shocked my teeth from being so sweet.) So, I switched to Plenny (unflavored "neutral") around 2018 and loved it! Covid happened so I took a break. Coming back, I ordered their new flavors as a substitute seeing as they no longer offer the unflavored offering. To my dismay, it too has this same flavor profile as Soylent! What the heck is going on?! I tried comparing ingredients but couldn't find the common denominator. I thought perhaps it was Sucralose, but I am very familiar with the stuff. I buy sucralose powder and make my own 'simple syrup' for my iced coffee (I'm a tinkerer by heart). I do wonder if the new flavors have too much sucralose for my liking?, and a skewing of an otherwise good flavor profile (Its the aftertaste). The initial taste is light and smooth. Oh! I have an expired bag of unflavored. I did end up making a shake with it after not liking the new flavors. I was lucky and the expired JimmyJoy didn't spoil (usually the oils go rancid in powdered food). But it tasted amazing! So I dont know... something is different that isn't overtly obvious by comparing ingredients. Anywho, I wish JimmyJoy the best! It looks like there is a pretty big market here and I love their adherence to trying to do more of a "clean label" product as opposed to competitors. Respect. As for me, I am regrettably moving onto making my own >_>”
