Absolutely Terrible Company, They do not order the item until you purchase cause the delivery times to be over a month in most cases, do not be fooled by good reviews Im sure they've bought them so they can post them all over their site! I ordered next day delivery on an Item that was said to be in stock when I purchased, then turned out that I had to wait 2 weeks to get it becasue the item was not in stock when purchased, and then another 2 weeks after that! I still havent received my item. On the page where I bought It, low and behold it still says in stock!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ordered an item with next day delivery and Ive been waiting 4 weeks. They have a shoddy team and do not care if you get your item when it was ordered for.

The laptop I received was faulty and it was desperately needed for working from home - it then took a further 10 days to get refund from Laptops Direct and even then I had to chase them. To add insult to injury they've charged me £10 shipping costs, to receive a faulty item! This should be refunded, what have I paid postage for exactly? Don't take a chance with this company, use someone reputable like AO or John Lewis.

Kit and delivery fine. Customer service non-existent; not even worthy of one star.

Was disappointed with my experience with Laptops Direct this time round. having used yourselves a few years ago I was keen to buy a laptop as a gift for a family member abroad. however when it arrived today I have been informed that all the keys have been remapped to random positions and some don't work at all. I know that I purchased a refurbished laptop but I assumed that there would have been some basic checks to make sure everything worked correctly before it was sold. my family member is now going to have to take the laptop to be repaired costing more money.... hoping there has been some honest mistake here but look forward to hearing from you soon

On the day of delivery they changed the delivery day out by over 3 weeks Although they were so quick to take the money with the knowledge they could never delivery it has taken over 2 months to receive a refund I am well out of pocket in terms of money in phone calls and time in phone calls as no one answers the phone The companies business practices how they treat their customers is highly questionable. I have had to chase for a refund for over 2 months. Anyone who does not want to waste their time and money should not deal with laptops direct in any way, they are just a drop shipper using your money to fund their organisational float along with excessively high charges for calls to their customer services. I would happily pay slightly more to a better company an now be better of financially and also all the time it has taken to sort out laptops directs mess.

I ordered a electric CCTV camera from this company's website, which also trades under a number of different names including an affiliation with Tesco Direct. The order was mishandled, arrived late, was not sold as advertised and was not fit for purpose as it did not connect to the wifi despite attempting to connect on two different systems. The customer service response was absolutely appalling, refusing to accept the return of this absolutely useless product. In essence, do not use this dreadful company under any circumstances - nothing but aggravation and disappointment!

Ordered laptop Saturday morning, with 2-4 working days delivery. No updates on my account about my order until I email them 4 days later. No reply - just the status of my order on my account has changed to "Awaiting stock"...what a shambles. I am cancelling tomorrow if these other reviews are anything to go by I will save myself the time and agro of being lied to.

Sales team adviced me to buy on Friday before 8p.m. to get delivery next day (saturday) for an extra charge, I went to buy it, had to rush to get home early, when I got home website told me it can only be delivered on saturday after, or during the week.. O.K. I have chosen to get it delivered during a week. but then, I have received email from them monday at 15:59 (they are closing at 4): Thank you for your order: "We regret to inform you that part of your order is no longer available from our suppliers. Occasionally we will experience a time delay on product information, whereby a manufacturer will no longer have stock and will discontinue a product before we are able to update our systems". And the item is still on sale on their website!! What the hell is going on with them??? Time wasters!!!

****WARNING! STAY AWAY!*** READ HERE TO FIND OUT WHY Naturally the sales process is great and the prices are good too. However if you ever wanted to return an item, don't expect it to happen smoothly or expect a full refund. I ordered a laptop 3 months ago and was messed around by the rubbish "DX Courier" 5 times. After several requests and weeks later it was finally being cancelled. I asked for a full refund and raised a paypal dispute. Several weeks later still no refund and I contacted LD and they said because I had a paypal dispute, they cannot process the refund. I had asked can they assure me I get the full refund including postage and fee's and they said yes I would. Stupidly I cancelled my paypal dispute which was going to be settled in my favour had I waited 2 more weeks. A week later I received a PARTIAL refund. When I questions them they said it was for the postage and paypal fee's. Remember I was confirmed a FULL REFUND twice so I made a complaint for the small amount owing of £7.88. Several phone calls and after long waiting to connect to the 01481 number I got told by Tari that she will process it now... which never happened. I called a week later and spoke to Jess and she said that the payments where made but can not go through because I had previously raised a dispute. This is also a lie because I asked for a paypal transaction code which she could not provide and I spoke to paypal and they also said that is not possible because no blocks where held against them and the dispute was closed over a month ago. So 3 months on and phone calls in the excess of over £20 later and despite being told I'll be called back several times. Still nothing. After searching other reviews I had found plenty of similar cases. Hidden 10% restock fee's and partial refunds. My advice is if you where to buy from them, use Paypal. And if anything was to go wrong, raise a dispute and wait it out. Do not cancel it even if they ask you too unlike I did. If I had waited just 2 more weeks, I would have won in my favour because under the 2014 Consumer Contracts Regulations, they had to refund the postage and fee's. If you too have experienced a similar experience like mind with Laptopsdirect, I can only suggest you report them to trading standards & financial ombudsman like I have.

DO NOT USE: I ordered an £1,800 Dell laptop from these people on the 8th June for delivery on the 1st July. On the 30th July (one day before delivery was due) they emailed to say that they could not supply me with this laptop and my order had been cancelled (after having my money for almost a month). As nobody called me I had no choice but to contact them on their 0870 (13p per minute number) to find out what was going on. After various discussions it appeared that they could supply me with the very same laptop and spec but with a slightly different graphics card so we started again and they kept the money. After many emails and much waiting the laptop had an attempted delivery from DPD to whom I contacted to arrange redelivery. Having sat at home all day on Wednesday 5th August it did not arrive, despite checking with DPD and Laptops Direct. It was then supposed to be delivered on Friday the 7th August (yes two months from when I placed the initial order) and this was confirmed by email from Laptops Direct. I sat there all day again, loosing another day’s work, and once again it did not arrive. Many emails and calls later have lead to being told that the laptop was returned to Dell (not delivered to me) and now they could not send it out again even though it was Laptop Directs error. They now say they cannot supply me with the laptop that has been specifically spec’d for me and have decided to refund the money. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE PEOPLE AS THEY APPEAR TO BE FRAUDULENTLY FUNDING THEIR BUSINESS ON CLIENTS MONIES WITHOUT SUPPLYING ANY GOODS. WORST COMPANY AND ATTITUDE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.

Worst company ever! I bought a refurbished laptop in January and 6 months later the screen just suddenly wouldn't switch on. I sent in a letter of complaint and guess what no reply. Absolutely awful just be safe and buy from PC world or currys.

DO NOT USE- BEWARE- SELLING FAULTY GOODS AND WONT REFUND! TERRIBLE COMPANY AND SERVICE - COULD NOT GET THROUGH ON NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS - ON HOLD 20 MINS A TIME AND STILL NO ONE ANSWERED AND AT 10P A MINUTE TO SORT OUT A FAULTY LAPTOP THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN REPAIRED TWICE IS NOT WHAT ANY CUSTOMER WANTS. REQUESTED A REFUND AND THIS WAS CATEGORICALLY REFUSED. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM - THE MOST AGGREVATION FROM ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!

If you're a business user, don't touch Laptopsdirect.co.uk with a barge pole. I placed my order for 8GB of RAM for my MacBook Pro and immediately realised I'd made a mistake upon receipt of the goods.. rather than two 4GB sticks, I'd accidentally ordered 1 8GB stick.. an innocent error... But upon calling their 10p a minute 'customer service' helpline (which, in itself should be done for trades descriptions), I was told with complete disinterest that they would not accept the return or exchange of my incorrect order as I was a business... They couldn't care less about retaining a happy, satisfied customer.. nope.. they had my money - and a little extra for calling their premium rate phone line and that was good enough for them. So now, as a sole trader who works extremely hard for his money, I'm left with a useless stick of expensive Ram memory that I'll have to try and peddle myself on Ebay. Companies who operate like this do not deserve your trade.. go elsewhere. FOLLOW-UP - TWO WEEKS LATER (Feb 17th) So, after posting this review, and later seeing further negative reviews had appeared online, I noted I had not received the stock reply here from 'Liam' as others had, however, I had received the same reply from him via my message to LaptopsDirect on their Facebook page... I had replied there and been ignored until I messaged again today asking if it was lip service or if they actually escalated these matters... Well, to my surprise, I have just received a phone call from a slightly nervous sounding gentlemen with regard to my order.. who initially asked me if it was still sealed in it's packaging, which I explained it was.. completely unopened and untouched, resalable quite easily... Then I got the story of how it was now discontinued by them and how they had purchased it directly from their supplier and how they themselves would not be able to get a credit note for it.. and how they didn't want their business (which boasts over 1,000,000 customers on their website) wouldn't want to be out of pocket just as I - a sole trader - wouldn't wish to be out of pocket. I suppose I should show some sympathy for a company with so many customers (about 10% of whom also experience lousy service going by the statistics on this page) and who would rather leave me out of pocket and more than a little disenfranchised than possibly risk maintaining a happy customer, who spends a fair amount of money on hardware each year... Good move there LTD! I'm not entirely sure what the point of their phone call was to me today.. if it was to rub salt in the wound, it was successful. I am no longer disgruntled, I am now outright fuming. So, I repeat.. and shall continue to repeat on each and every review website I can find online; DO NOT SHOP WITH LAPTOPS DIRECT AS A BUSINESS CUSTOMER.

I was keen to find a laptop that was aesthetically pleasing but rather naive about functionality. The assistant was very patient with my request and directed me to a laptop that suited all my requirements. He was confident in his choice and I was very pleased with it and the speedy delivery too. Thank you for great customer service!

Selling items not in stock Firstly, I would suggest the scenario below is nothing to do with COVID, and all to do with arrogance for the customer. I Ordered a monitor on next day service (£9.98) at 3pm on Thursday 2nd July. At 21:00 on the 2nd I received an email to say warehouse has an issue and that I would be told by 3pm on Friday 3rd July (after their CS closes conveniently, and they don't work weekends!?) what day to expect delivery, and that it won't be delivered Friday. Friday 3rd had an email at 07:20 to say "despatched from one of their warehouses" but when clicking the track button it says "despatched from one of our suppliers - no tracking available" So - looks like I will have no monitor over the weekend for an urgent work project, but who knows - it may turn up. 1/ They have clearly sold something as available when it was not 2/ They have sold me next day delivery, when they knew that it wasn't going to happen 3/They have failed, as they said they would, to give me a delivery date by 3pm on Friday 3rd July 4/ Their Customer service shuts at 2pm on a Friday and does not open weekends 5/ They have not replied to any e-messages. First one sent at 21:22 on Thursday 2nd July. 6/ They mark orders as 'accepted' when dispatched, so I can't cancel on-line and I can't talk to anyone to cancel (so that I can buy elsewhere and get delivered Saturday) as CS shuts at 2 pm - I mean what's all that about! This means, like so many others on Trust Pilot, that I'm in limbo land with this company. I fully expect to see no monitor on Saturday, but I just have to 'wait and see' On Monday I will be cancelling the order (if CS answer the phone), but then it will mean I don't get the monitor from another company until Tuesday. Shocking Customer Service, and selling stock as next day when they clearly don't have it available for tomorrow is misleading at best. nb. just this second has a text from parcelforce express 24 to say a parcel will be delivered on Monday - I have no idea if this is from Laptops Direct or not. Having just looked at their terms it says to return the item will be at my own expense. If it is the monitor, I'm so tempted to refuse delivery, and just wait another day for someone to deliver that deserves customers. Laptops Direct certainly do not deserve customers!!!
