The lights were delivered to a neighbour 3 sets wouldnt work emailed seversl times total waste of money still no refund or replacement wont use this company again

Items received were purchased via Tesco Direct. They were very disappointing and not as advertised. Cost of postage and packing was excessive and we had to pay for the returns. Therefore £20 worth of goods cost as £10.55 to receive and return. Buyer beware!

I ordered the wrong lights I called and I could NOT cancel my order even though it was the next day!!! I then received a refund to find that it was less 1.99.For what??

Dear Julie, Thank you for leaving a review. I am very sorry that we couldn't cancel your order a day after you placed it. All our orders are processed immediately and we dispatch within 24 hours of ordering, and at this peak time of year our customers prefer to receive their orders as quickly as possible. The £1.99 covers the original delivery charge, as this is classed as a change of mind return. However, I have refunded this to your card just now. I am sorry that this wasn't clear. We have put up the outdoor lights we ordered for a retirement community and both sets have already failed. This is a huge disappointment not only to the elderly community that look forward to the festive lights, but also because it's quite an inconvenience to arrange for access and a ladder etc. Both sets of lights have failed in the same way, that is one of the two parallel wires in each string has ceased to function.

If i could give it less i would. Disgusted by the service. Cant talk about the products as i never received them! They took my money, delivered it to the wrong address, and have said there is nothing they can do about it. No money and no products. Rude, unhelpful 'customer service'. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Dear Hannah, I am very disappointed to read your review as I have been in correspondence with you over the past few days. I have tracked the order and it has arrived at the address, as you are aware from my email of earlier today. Your order has been delivered to the primary address when you checked out by PayPal. The PayPal checkout system offers the opportunity to change the address at that time. I appreciate that you emailed us a day later to cancel the order, by which time it had already left the warehouse. Quick response when buying but replacement Christmas tree lighting transformer lasted 5 minutes before getting very hot and exploding- dangerous-not impressed. P.S Since submitting the above review the company (Jo) has phoned me and said the transformer was probably incompatible with my tree as they were designed to work with their in house products. I'm no sure it says this on the website, but my money was cheerfully refunded so in fairness I thought I had to correct the previous comments. Chris C

Dear Christopher, Thank you for leaving the review, however, I can see that you bought from our website a universal transformer for use with your own existing lights purchased elsewhere, and it seems clear that this was not compatible with your lights. I am sorry that you had an issue, and I can see that we have refunded your entire order value. My recommendation would be to always refer to the original supplier to ensure compatibility. Thank you. Terrible website, reported problems with order and payment right away, got no response. Ended up paying twice for the same item but only receiving one. Still have heard nothing back - hoping leaving this feedback will wake them up...

Dear Steve, I am very sorry indeed to read this and understand your annoyance and frustration completely. Unfortunately I cannot reach you by phone to apologise in person. I have had a look at PayPal and indeed it has debited you twice; I have refunded £16.98 immediately. Unfortunately, I don't know why this has happened and referred the issue to our IT dept. As for the lack of response, our main system does not show this duplication so again I can only apologise most sincerely. Received my lights and half of them didn't work. No information on how to send back for a refund and when I tried to speak to the online chat, was informed that they are only a 'personal shopping team', will not be buying anything from here again!

Hello Sandra, thank you for your review and for your time on the phone this afternoon. At this time of year with the shorter days and poorer weather conditions our Solar Lights are not as reliable as they are in Spring and Summer. I am pleased that you would like to try our Outdoor Battery Lights as an alternative and confirm that the two strings will be delivered to you in the next couple of days with Royal Mail. Not one for complaining however today was frustrating .. Placed Order 10.30am on the Friday.. chose your company as I needed next day delivery service. your company offered the next day delivery service. I required lights urgently for a Christmas Street Market Stall for Sat evening . Other ones had failed after testing. So I paid next day delivery £5.95 . I received a confirmation email that the lights would be delivered next day Sat delivery. At 4pm I received an email from the courier stating delivery would be Monday not Saturday !!! I contacted your company Natasha who apologised and said DPD courier don't offer Sat delivery ? ( it doesn't say that on your site) but you would happily pay the £14.95 fee .This was not clear at point of ordering. Natasha was going to contact your warehouse to try get lights away with another courier . She was to call me back immediately . Sadly she didn't. I then called 40 minutes later at 5.15pm to find out if they had made the other courier. She then said "yes we managed to send them you'll get them tomorrow" Phew I thought. 15 minutes later another Call from your company Natasha stating they missed the cut off Point so there's no delivery tomorrow. How Disappointed I am with your company. Lessons to be learned I think ..re customer care. What made it worse I was at a shopping centre and could have purchased an alternative at the time when I found out from the courier initially, but then was told it's ok you''re going to get them. I am so sorry that we let you down, and that we didn't deliver the string of festoon lights and plug as we should have. In hindsight, we should have simply re-listed the order and cancelled and recalled the existing one. It has been a lesson learned and we are truly sorry. Customer service was good but the product was awful. Had several replacements, none of which worked! Finally asked for a refund but we lost money as delivery cost wasn't refunded.

The solar powered fairy lights do not work - at all! A complete waste of money. I have been meaning to email to complain but I'm not sure I would want replacement lights as it appears that they are in no way fit for purpose.

I bought 8 sets of fairy lights for my Papakata wedding in July, only to find that when they had been put up the transformer plug (also bought from lights4fun) did not work. All 8 sets could not be used, resulting in a large amount of wasted money as well as no fairy lights in the Papakata tipis on my wedding day!!!
