“The caverns were neat to see but the E-Bike experience was NOT worth it. My bikes battery died at the beginning of the tour (another rider experienced the same thing) and we were told they had no other ones available. Needless to say I had to peddle the entire way. The whole 1 1/2 hour tour consisted of approximately 20 min of bike time, the rest of the time was spent stopping at random locations throughout the caverns so our guide could talk and tell extremely long-winded, irrelevant stories. After we were done I spoke to the supervisor on duty to complain about the lack of a functioning E-Bike and not only was she rude, she provided no resolution to my issue. So I paid $39.95 for myself plus 3 additional tickets, costing approx. $180.00 and we all rode for only 20 minutes and I peddled. Very disappointing!!!!! I would not recommend this. It was so bad I might go as far as to say this tour is a scam.”
“We enjoyed our e-bike tour of the facility. This is the most in-depth tour they currently offer. It was historically interesting and informative as well as sharing some of the modern uses of this remarkable space. I don't have any specific criticism of the experience. It was fun. I think the cost was realistic for the time that we spent. I'm not sure I would come back to do it again, so I guess that's my only question is what else is Mega Cavern going to use to attract visitors back? Zip lines - maybe for some but not all and very pricey? Probably not for me. Bicycle course - maybe the mountain bike style. Some of my other ideas: bowling alley, underground mini-golf, go-karts, museum, musical performances, IMAX theater.”
“A good tour to take, especially on a bad weather day. Since the location is very close to the zoo, it's easy to combine the two on the same day. Educational, fun and unique.”
“A memorable event for my grandsons and me on their school spring break. The guides were great. As a search and rescue volunteer in Tennessee, I was impressed with their focus and attention to safety procedures. The experience was well worth the price.”
“Jay and Savanna were the best . Made us feel very comfortable and safe . They even provided some jokes along the way. Great experience and would definitely do it again.”
“We had a wonderful time at the Mega Cavern and on the tram tour of the cavern. Gregg, our guide, was full of knowledge and made things fun. Overall it was a great experience!”
“First time we have been and kids loved it. We will definitely be back. There is no cell service below, which we expected, but their guest wifi was down.”
“We were told that being 15 minutes late would be okay but it was really not. We were stuck in traffice, called and the response from the staff was just get here as quick as you can. We were earlier than we thought and when we go there the response was pretty much too bad. Asked for our money back and they said that that was not going to happen either. Get there early or you won't be riding the tram. Left 3 grandchildren very disappointed. Maybe your staff can be trained.”
“Zip line tour was awesome. Tour guides were very safe, funny and knowledgeable. Caverns were cool, and we were able to get pretty good speeds down the lines. If you decide to go, book early, because they fill up fast. Also the temperature is a little cool, so definitely wear long pants and clothes.”
“Very unorganized, under staffed, and rude employees! Safety was not the top priority, seemed more focus on ensuring you signed your waiver then understanding how to use your harness, those right in front heard the instructor, we were a group of 8 and heard absolutely nothing had to rely on watching what others were doing to figure it out on our own.”
“Ziplining at the mega cavern was the greatest. With Jay and Maverick as our zip guides, they made the experience both enjoyable and humorous. I would highly recommend these two young men as zip guides to anyone going to the Mega Cavern, for they are personable and make you feel secure. *They also make a lot of hilarious jokes.”
“Zach M and Rachel were very entertaining tour guides and the actual zip lining was very fun. The only suggestion would be to put a little more time into decorating the cavern up a little bit. I had also ordered a photo package and was a bit disappointed that there were no action shots included in the package. This was a one time experience, I would've liked my son to have at least one photo of him actually zip lining.”
“We took a drive from Cincinnati to visit the MegaCavern. Our boys did the Quest and loved it.
Everything was easy - from check in, to getting the gear and instruction. I was happy there was an employee on the course to help my 8yr old when he needed it. We look forward to going back and trying the e-bike tour!”
