I'm really disappointed that Saranghae changed the 5 step bundle. The Elemental Mask was a winner, and I'm not a fan of the toner. I've been a member for years, and asked to continue receiving the Elemental Mask, as that is what I signed up for when I became a member many years ago. So far the response has been no. Major customer service fail, Saranghae. If you really love your customers, you'll accommodate the ones who prefer the other 5 items, especially because you are not discontinuing the mask. (But to continue receiving the same bundle I signed up for, now I have to pay $29 extra per month, *and* receive an item I do not need or like.) So disappointing for a company that until now seemed to pride itself on its integrity and customer satisfaction.

I did not find any difference in using this skin care over my Avon Anew skin care, except for the price is way higher with Saranghae!! I would not recommend these products. However, the customer service was adequate. I did receive my refund after sending the products back, minus the $35 it cost me to return it.

I loved the foam cleanser so much that I bought the 5 step bundle, which didn't work well for my skin. I returned it in December and never got a refund. I've been calling them, only to be told that without a tracking number, they won't refund my items. So, I'm out over $180. While the foam cleanser is amazing, I will never use these products again. I buy about 40% of my skin care and clothing online and have returns consistently - I have NEVER had this happen to me, which makes me distrust this company and/or the company who handles their returns.

Karen, I'm really getting worried now. I placed my order 6 days ago and it still hasn't shipped. I send a email before, and was told it shipped. I checked my tracking number after 24 hours and it showed that a label had been generated, but is still has not shipped. When can I expect my order to be delivered?????

Nothing went wrong I have not purchased it as yet, would like an explanation on your summary. Your article starts out saying no skin care cream will penetrate the epidermis, so don’t wast your time on all those claims etc. and then you proceed to offer a solution by offering creams that you apply to outer layer how can your skin products penetrate the collagen - matrix through the same route can you fill me in on this before I buy

At Saranghae we believe that there are no miracle cures when it comes to taking care of your skin. Many people approach skin care with a quick-fix attitude, hoping that one “magic” product will be the answer to their concerns. In reality, taking care of your skin requires a bit more work! There isn’t one product that can do it all. That’s why we promote a skincare routine that places emphasis on the long-term health of your skin. It is true that most products that are sold as cosmetics are not formulated to penetrate the dermis layer of the skin. Most ingredients work in the upper layers of the epidermis (also known as the stratum corneum) and some work deeper in the epidermal tissue (the stratum granulosum). For example, our Deep Radiance Essence Serum as well as our Firm & Lift Moisturizer both use a unique botanical extract known as Phellinus Linteus Extract or (Sang Hwang mushroom extract)(in concentrations of 10% & 15% respectively) to promote a strengthening of the elastin fibres. I broke out like crazy after using this, which makes me really sad because I was is excited to try it after reading such positive reviews. My skin is sensitive and I found after using the wash it made me super dry and flakey. I tried using once a day and then with adding extra moisturizer after the last step but eventually had to stop using it to let my skin recover.

Hopefully I can provide you some insight and reassurance regarding your skin. When beginning a new skin care program, it is common for the skin to experience a "purge". Purging can occur when active ingredients within your skincare cause the cellular renewal rate (the time it takes for your skin cells to regenerate) to speed up. This increased cellular renewal will in turn push impurities in the skin up to the surface, resulting in what appears to be new breakouts. This process can often last for up to 4 weeks. While not ideal, it is a necessary process for your skin to heal itself from within. As the Saranghae products are designed to heal, regenerate and protect. I bought this product and was SO disappointed. It was not pleasant to use. The cleanser smelled and felt like dish soap. The products caused me to break out in pimples and a rash (I do not have sensitive skin, nor have had this problem with any other skin care system). I was going to just take it as a loss but then the company, unbeknownst to me had signed me up for a subscription service that I didn't want. I have been fighting with them for months to get my money back. I've submitted this complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Please save your time and money and buy a better product elsewhere.

Hello! We are so sorry to hear that the products did not work for you. The scent in our products comes from the essential oils and other botanical ingredients in our formulation. We never use artificial fragrances or parfums in our products. Most people find the scent mild and even a bit earthy, others find it flowery. Scent perception can vary from person to person, but let me reassure you we do not use any artificial fragrances :) There is a great chance that you are experiencing purging, which is very normal when switching up your routine. Here’s how purging can actually work – if a product speeds up skin turnover (the rate at which skin cells are shed and replaced), then the entire cycle will be accelerated and pores will turn into whiteheads/blackheads/pimples/cysts more quickly, so you’ll suddenly see blemishes. Our products are designed to heal, regenerate and protect, I assure you the purging is your skin healing. We agree the process is not ideal. It can take your skin about a month to renew itself, and this is sometimes how long the purging can last. Last, I want to let you know that there are two options when selecting your products on our website. You can purchase the Complete 5 Step Bundle for $219 or you can purchase the VIP Complete 5 Step Membership Bundle for $189. It appears as though you had selected the cheaper option and therefore signed yourself up for a membership. Absolutely horrible. I bought this product originally 2 years ago and really liked the product. They have changed the product completely and added some type of mushroom extract that caused my skin to itch and become splotchy and red. I contacted them within the return period and was only offered 50% of my money back and I can keep a product that irritated my skin or I would have to pay the shipping back to Korea. "110% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back??" BUllSHIT - I took a break from the product for a few weeks and went back to try it again and immediately my skin reacted the same way so I called again and asked for a full refund and return shipping label. I was told that I could no longer get my money back because I was outside of the return window - yes but I wasn't originally and I was not offered a full refund- the product is horrible with the current changes and I saw no improvement of my skin like I did with the original product. The mushroom extract smells horrible as well and I feel I was scammed out of my guarantee.

Hello, We are sorry that your experience with Saranghae products was less than ideal. Everyone's skin is different and there is always a chance that someone's skin will not agree with a certain ingredient. This can happen with any product of course. Although we do manufacture our products in Korea, we ship them from a warehouse in California and this is where you would have returned the products to. You would not have needed to return the products to Korea, that would not be fair to our customers. According to your record, you accepted the 50% refund, and these funds were deposited into your account. At the point of the 50% refund, you did not let us know that you intended to restart the routine again. Had you have let us know this, we would have loved to help create a personalized routine and extend your return window for you. Instead we received a phone call weeks later, expressing with profanity that you were not offered the full refund option. Our records and the details in your above review indicate otherwise. We always provide each customer with 2 return options. Option 1, to keep the bundle so you can enjoy some of the products that do not cause irritation or Option 2, to ship the product back to California and receive a full refund. Both of these policies are indicated on our website under Terms and Conditions. We are so thankful that you chose to try Saranghae, and are truly sorry that you did not love the products. I bought the 5 step routine and used it diligently for the required 45 days. I have normally dry skin and had previously found something that helped to control the dryness. With all the rave reviews on this product line I decided there could be no harm to try it. This product made dried my skin out worse than it was before. I also had contacted customer service because the Saranghae firm and lift cellular regeneration cream had a huge air pocket in it and requested a replacement because most of the product was missing. They said they had performed multiple tests to show that the correct amount of product was in the jar and that during shipment the air pockets are created. I find that interesting as I'm sure most of us have ordered creams shipped to us of the same viscosity and don't find HUGE air pockets in them reducing the quantity of product you are actually getting. I would not recommend this to anyone who has dry skin as it will make it worse.

Hello! We are sorry to hear that the line did not work for you. Did you see any changes in your skin throughout the initial 45 days? Even if you saw some "negative" changes in your skin such as breakouts, black heads or greater appearance of fine lines are all signs that your skin is purging its impurities and trying to heal. Healing is the first step before your skin cells regenerate themselves. Sometimes this process can take longer for some customers, depending on the severity of their problem areas. Did you use the Elemental Essence Masks for added hydration? These masks can be a real life saver when your skin is lacking moisture. If your skin is always feeling dry and tight, it is likely you have a high alkaline level and your skins PH balance is off. Skin should typically sit around the 5.5 mark on the ph scale. Skin with higher alkaline and often times soaps with anti bacterial properties sit at a level of 8 or higher. Using a Toner (of your choice or our Optimal PH Perfect Balance Toner) could greatly help balance your alkaline level and therefore help with your dryness. We have had other customers raise concern with the air bubble that appears in the Firm and Lift. The response you received was correct, the jars are all mechanically measured to dispense 2.11 fluid oz. The issue is being created because the jar is a little too big for the amount of advertised product. The bubble issue does not fill half the jar, the jar is twice as big on the bottom as it is at the top. What's happening is that sometimes that jar gets shipped upside down during shipment, so product settles to the lid side and all the air goes up. When you turn it right side up, the air needs to get out and that's why so much air gets mixed into the jar. Not to worry, we have redesigned the jar and these new jars will be shipped with the same 2.11 fl oz. Thank you so much for taking the time to express your concern.

Don't believe them when they say they love you or "they will make it right". Saranghae lied! When I wanted to return my order because it was too many steps campated to my previous routine and I saw no difference after using diligently for three weeks, I asked for a return shipping label because I don't have access to a car. They said no, I would have to pay for return shipping!!! And...they would only refund $69.50 if I kept the little remaining product because they wouldn't cover return shipping!!! I will tell my friends not to spend this much money because if they are not completely happy, it still will cost them. Saranghae does not keep their promises!!! They don't do whatever it takes!!!

The routine does start healing your skin from cellular level and up from the first application, but visible results may take at least 45 days. This also depends heavily on what results you are looking to see. We apologize if your interaction with our customer service team did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, our system is unable to provide you with a pre-paid mailing label, or schedule a courier pickup on your behalf. Buyers Beware!! Saranghae has told me that according to their policy they can resume auto ship at any time even if you have requested to put your account on hold. They send you an email and if you do not respond within 48 hours they ship it anyway to you. I’ve been very sick and had put my account on hold. Too sick to check emails daily. If you want to stop shipments you need to cancel your account completely. And if you want to return a product they ship to you even though you’ve put your account on hold, you are responsible for shipping costs. My health is not good and I now have to deal with this somehow. These policies are not representative of a quality company.

Hi Marie, Our policy is stated on our website upon selecting the membership option. I am sorry that we cannot be accountable for every customer that wishes to sign up for a membership without reading the Terms and Conditions first. As per our last email that you did not respond to, we are able to return two of your bundles even though they are both significantly outside our return policy. I understand your frustration but you do have the option to return. When a customer does not reply to our 48 hour pre-bill notification, the bundle ships. Please understand it would be near impossible to contact every customer and double check with them if they want their bundle. This is why the 48 hour pre-bill notification is in place, for customers to communicate with us. There was no way for us to know you were in bad health because there was no communication. Our phone lines are open 7 days a week and our records do not show a call from you asking to cancel your membership. If you need assistance with return options you can call our customer service line 1-855-895-4344 or you can refer to the last email we sent you. Thank you for trying the line Marie, we would love to refund you for the bundles you need to return.

My skin is mostly oily to mixed type, and have tried 'Complete 5 Step Membership Bundle (5 Pro)',and it did not suit my skin, had break outs. Stopped using it after 7-10 days, and my skin cleared out. Called customer support and explained the situation and wanted to return the product, they insisted on trying it out for another 7-10 days once every day. I did try again for almost 2 weeks this time, it had the same effect. Finally when called back to return the product, they want me to pay the return shipping. This is like I have become their guinea pig to test the product and in return have to pay them back to ship their product(Half empty containers) back to them. When asked how is this 110% satisfaction guarantee or money back, they went to explain the satisfaction rate to me. Fyi, only USPS has to be used to ship back the product, you do not have any flexibility there. On top of this your cc will charge foreign transaction fee as they have this being billed to Canada. This doesn't show up anywhere during you transaction. Overall I don't recommend this for oily/ mixed skin types.

I purchased this product to try after reading many good reviews. I am 38 years old with clear sensitive skin. Unfortunately, the products broke my skin out terribly and caused nodule like cyst on my skin. I contacted customer service to let them know and to seek guidance. It took serversl days to receive an email. Sandra Starr replied back with a long and lengthy order of how I should stop the produce and then restart it again one product at a time. From the customer side, I did not have any interest in breaking out again, as my cyst were taking a while to heal the product caused. The company also throws the line out that your face will break out when trying something new and to persist with using it. WARNING! You must pay the shipping and handling if you return. This is approx. $35-40 with Fed-Ex. I had a terrible experience with customer service representative Shelby, with her yelling the policy to me over the phone. She also had the audacity to try and tell me my bank would side with the company if I reported it as a fraudent charge. Then proceeded to lie to me that my shipping charge was going to only be $15. Stay away from this company. Products do not deliver as promised for me and service was awful and ridged. They ultimately did not solve my issue or fulfill their so called “promise” of customer service.
