I am a home care provider for my mom, who has MS and is largely wheelchair dependent. I wanted something modern and versatile for myself, but also something she could use, if she wanted to. So I needed something cordless, but most of the cordless vacs on the market are "stick" type, with all of the weight and bulk in the hand, and unable to stand up on their own. That wouldn't work very well for someone with very little grip strength and trying to operate a wheelchair at the same time, so I kept looking. A few vacs met some requirements, but nothing checked all the boxes for me until I found Lupe. Yes, there is some sticker shock involved, but in my case, I have a history of viewing quality tools as a good investment. So I would guess it was a little easier for me to justify the purchase than the average buyer, given the versatility and ease of use that Lupe offers. Positives: - This vac arrived amazingly fast to me in Ohio, USA (I think it was 3 days). - It has the most suction of any vacuum I've ever personally used. Which is a good thing in my opinion, but my mom does sometimes need to use the Low setting, so it is easier to push. Max power, to me, really confirms that I made a good purchase. I feel like I could vacuum the faces off of my enemies, if the situation called for it. - Steering is great! Our last vac was a Dyson (traditional, not ball-style), that was not easily turned. The Lupe is very pleasant to steer. - Cordless! I wanted cordless for my mom, and for the versatility of using it to clean a car or anywhere with no plug access, but I never realized how much I actually hated having a cord (find outlets for it, avoiding it during use, winding it back up, etc), until it wasn't there anymore. When I think back now, I would often weigh whether it was worth going through the whole "ceremony" of vacuuming, before doing it. Usually the answer was "no", because I'm lazy. But now, I have had to retrain my brain that there is nothing stopping me from vacuuming anything that needs vacuumed. It's actually enjoyable (as enjoyable as vacuuming can be), because it just works. I should mention that we are only vacuuming a 2-bedroom apartment with low-pile carpet, so I'm probably not the best testament to battery life, but we've been using it sporadically for a couple weeks and I haven't yet recharged it since the initial full charge. Even when the battery does need a charge, doing so will be no more complicated than recharging my cordless drill, because the battery is removable. (It could charge on-board of course, but there are no outlets where I keep the vacuum.) Not-so-positives: - I hesitate to put "price" on here, because there really is great value here, but it is certainly an obstacle for many people. Frankly, I too had no business spending so much on a vacuum (I'm saving up to buy a car), but I chose to believe in the longevity and warranty of a quality product, over cheap/disposable options. - Purchasing. Buying the unit was easy enough, and I appreciate the security of the PayPal option, but I always purchase a spare battery for my cordless devices, so one of them is always charged and ready. I would have done that here, but I couldn't figure out how. I would recommend a change to the purchase procedure that allows you to see all accessories related to your vacuum model and add them to your purchase cart easily. (I've heard that US parts support has not fully rolled out yet, so this may have been just a temporary limitation.) - Design issues. As I mentioned before, one determining factor in this purchase was "versatility". However, I found that versatility was limited in a few ways that could be remedied. The "accessory mount" allows you to carry your attachments in upright mode, which is handy for people that want that, but not everyone does. Those of us who don't use it just end up leaving it off, laying around. This is untidy and not maximizing utility. I suggest a modification to the mount that incorporates spare battery storage (with charge cable accomodation) and wall-mount capability. Ideally the accessory mount would "clip in" to the wall bracket, as opposed to being permanently mounted to the wall, so different users with different preferences would have their choice of usage. The option to use this as a portable unit was a selling point for me, but it is a bit limited for a couple reasons. The unit does stand upright when removed from the brush head, which is nice, but it so light and the hose is so short that it just ends up getting dragged or carried around. I suggest (1) a hose extension accessory, and (2) a modification that accommodates a shoulder or backpack-style strap. In my personal case, I believe my mom would find the ability to attach the unit to the back or arm of her wheelchair (with a longer hose and stick attachment) useful. Minor issue, but I feel that making the bin release button the accent color (blue) would help the learning curve. Currently it is white, like the housing, so I keep forgetting it's there when I go to empty the bin (which admittedly has only been a couple times so far). The "waste release" button could be better. It has taken a second hand to pull open the lid, as opposed to just pushing the release button. Aside from that, I have found cleaning the unit very easy, as it comes apart in several areas to get a thorough clean. Perhaps a small modification to the upright, or accessory mount, to allow the filters to dry "on board" would be a nice touch. So all the parts are drying together and just need snapped back together at the next use. - During my research before purchase, I read reviews that complained about limited accessories included in the purchase price. I do not personally feel shorted in that regard. I would prefer to see the utility maximized as outlined above, instead of a bunch of attachments I would never use, just to make me feel like I'm "getting more". In summary, I'm very happy with the purchase and I look forward to getting more experience with the unit and becoming long-term Lupe customer! My thanks to the designers, investors, and the entire Lupe team for spending the time, money, and effort necessary to develop such a great product and bring it to market!

Hi Paul Thank you so much for taking the time to put this extensive & detailed review of your experience with the Pure Cordless together. We really do appreciate it & it’s good to hear you enjoy using your unit & that it fits well with your needs. It’s also great to hear you believe in the longevity of a quality product which is indeed reflected in our price. Spare batteries: these will be available soon (end of Q1/early Q2 2021) via our website. I will make sure you are contacted when spare batteries are available. Additionally, our engineers have been working on a longer hose attachment which will be available later on this year. We will take on board your comments regarding purchasing accessories as well as the accessory/wall mount and feed that back to the design team. Thank you for the additional comments & suggestions regarding use & design. This kind of feedback is really helpful to our team for consideration as we go forward with our future product designs. Once again, thank you for an excellent & detailed review & we hope you continue enjoying using your Pure Cordless! Best The Lupe Team

I love the product, by far and away best hoover I've ever had, and cordless no less. My only recommendation/criticism is the two attachments that connect to the mechanism at the top of the vacuum for when you're not using them, sometimes randomly fall off. Very irritating. They'd benefit from just having a little clip or something so I don't have to remove them when vacuuming to avoid them hitting the floor occasionally.

It's not the perfect vacuum, but it is perfect for for what I feel is important in a vacuum cleaner! Great job! Would love more optional attachments to make life even easier, such as a wide, low profile head for cleaning under low standing furniture (like sofas and beds) or something for behind radiators!

It took a while to get used to a smaller brush head but it does such a great job cleaning.

Easy to manoeuvre, cleans some carpets better than our Henry, really nicely made. Very impressed with the serviceability and well thought out design and integration of pieces.

It sucks - just a well as the youtube reviews said it would. Love it! And not fighting a darned cord means we're actually vacuuming more.

The vacuum exceeds my expectations. I vacuumed first using my corded vacuum cleaner and then performed a second pass with the Lupe. The Lupe picked up additional items that my corded vacuum missed. I like that it easily transitions from carpet to tile areas without having to do anything to the setup. Assembly is really easy and I like the idea of being able to obtain spare parts (if required). The only cons I can think of is that it would have been good to have a power button at the end of the handle. Another is that the hose for accessories is not long enough. Overall a great unit!

I will try this again.  I received the vacuum about a week ago. First off, the delivery company is spot on. From England to California in under a week was amazing. Days ahead of the proposed delivery date. Additional parts were the same- in under a week. The instructions are O.K., but not great. I strongly recommend that you video a  full description of the instructions. The build of the vacuum is solid- DO NOT CHANGE THIS! I hate paying premium prices for flimsy products. That is HATE, not dislike. The power is very good, and makes this fun little beast a joy to handle. I gather you are designing a cleaner head that deals with hair- excellent! The white is nice and neutral, but a couple of other colors would be nice. I agree that an extra battery would be a wise addition. I like the maneuverability of the vacuum, and that the weight is lower on the frame of the machine. Very wise.  Overall, I am a big supporter of your machine. If you stay true to your original plan- to create a machine which lasts much longer than traditional machines, and only gets better, as you make changes, I will remain a supporter of your product.

I hated vacuum cleaning because the appliance that my mother had was heavy, huge and generally did not work at all. During my teenage years, I was sweating every sunday morning, fighting with that crap, and promised myself that I will never ever have a vacuum cleaner in my life. Since than I had a weird connection with hovers: generally hated all of them, and basically did not use any because I wanted to avoid hovering so I did not have any carpets or pets at all, and hired a cleaning lady. But as my son started crawling and eating normal food (and many of the bites land on the floor) and covid made sure that the cleaning lady can't enter the house I quickly realised I will need to invest in a proper hover. I wached many videos and after 2 nights it was clear that Lupe has all features I need, so I ordered it. (side note: In my parents house we have 1 vcleaner for carpets, 1 regular one and roughly 6 different stick vacuum cleaners -none of them working properly) My parents thought I am crazy, and they were really excited as well for Lupe, because they did not believe me that this will be a totally different league of v.cleaners. So as Lupe arrived, I quickly assembled it and started vacuuming the carpet that me, and my mother DID vacuum a day before. I WAS LITERALLY SHOCKED, AND MY MOTHER DID NOT BELIEVE HER EYES - NEITHER DID I. The tank was almost full. I actually asked my mother if it is possible that the tank was used before, and someone else's dust remained in it...I could not find any other explanation for the amount of dust... On the first week, I visited all my realtives and vacuumed their whole house, presenting the dust they have, and we were shocked every time. I use Lupe 4-5 times a day, and I LOVE IT. This was the best investment in my household for years, for sure. 5 star product, love it!

I’m the owner of this machine for 3 months now and I’m really impressed with this cordless vacuum cleaner. First of all, the design is really stunning. As you can see on the picture I put the cleaner in the middle of the living room. Can you imagine doing that with a household machine? It’s a real eyecatcher and people say that it looks nice and futuristic. In terms of esthetics, you can’t go wrong. But it’s not only nice looking, it’s functional as well. The attention of detail and finish is just perfect. You never have to use force and things attach / detach easily in a consistent way. Everything feels solid and strong. I never had the feel that they hand in on quality. For newcomers, I would advise you to check the tips of the company regarding the use of settings and maintenace on their website. As I was used to a traditional cleaner with a cord, this is something different. Let this machine do the work for you, don’t use it like you use your tradditional machine and give yourself time to try all the parts to get into the flow of things. Because a machine can’t be perfect on every aspect, please be aware of the following. This is a cordless vacuum cleaner, and it’s obviously not as flexible as using the tube on your traditional hoover. Don’t expect to hover fluently under your bed (use a dust cleaner instead), however I’m really surprised at how flexibel this machine still is! Second, sometimes I want to use the side hose to get rid of dust on decorations or hard to reach places, but the mouth automatically allignes upwards (see picture). Not sure why this is. Last, I would advise to buy an addition battery. The batteries are quickly charged and you can use it quite some time, but it’s just comfortable to easily switch batteries when you need it. I really wish the company good luck, I followed their pursue at Kickstarter to create something extraordinary and observed how passionate they are. I’m writing this review in the hope people will buy this product and as a result the company is able to create a solid foundation which benefits us all.

The suction power is great. But there's a design issue with the trash bin where pet hair and debris will get stuck in the middle of the canister. And since the canister is L-shaped, have to use a stick to pull out the stuck debris. Also the cyclone is difficult to remove and once it is removed, now dust is coming out from both ends. The trash bin lid also require two hands to open. How do you expect elderly folks to use this daily? Look at Dyson V11 on how easy to empty the bin and easily to remove the entire canister. I bought one for myself and one for my in-law and had to return both for it is very difficult to operate.

Its taken a while to get to understand how best to use this vacuum...but now that I have, I am generally pleased with it. The two main problems Ive encountered are that the foot of the vacuum tends to lift up and not stay parallel with the ground, and the release flap on the bin is regularly jammed...however the power and suction are very impressive and it DOES have a good battery life, as long as you use it in eco mode. The wand attachment could do with being longer as well...but apart from this, its a good product!

Hi Johnathan, Thank you for reaching out and apologies for the issue you have had with your Pure Cordless. I have passed your details onto one of our engineers that will be in touch with you shortly as the head of the machine should stay down when in use. Best, The team at Lupe

The two accessories are falling down all the time from their housing on the main handle shaft. A design change is mandatory. Please consider a proper way to constrain them

+ Amazing suction + Very maneuverable + Easy to switch to carry mode + It doesn't fall over when the vacuum cleaner stand right up + On/Switch button instead of a lever you have to keep pressing + Excellent build quality, small details like a rubber grip in the inner handle is great. + Removable battery + Good amount of filters that can be taken out and cleaned + Easy to detach parts from the vacuum cleaner + Great design and it looks fantastic - Multi use of the accessories could be better. The little bump that prevents the accessories from sliding down is to weak. It slides down randomly when you don't need it. (Let me know if a picture is wanted to explain it better) - Can't vacuum under the couch and bed anymore because it's all bigger then my previous vacuum cleaner Suggestion for an idea: I clean a lot of times the stairs and it would be a great addition if I can carry the vacuum cleaner on my back while doing the stairs. So sort of an enhanced carry mode with straps or anything.
