I have not received an issue in more than 6 months. It was sporadic even before then at best. When I ask they just give me the same run around. "we will set up a tracer" or "someone will contact you", but it never happens. They are a total joke! A ripoff. Do not waste your money! I would give less than a star if I could.

I thought I was having a dismal time until I read these reviews. I'm straight off to paypal for a refund without wasting any more time with magazines direct.

Asked to stop my subscription because kept coming late.was given refund of 44 pounds on 19 July which never came .have sent e mails and made several phone calls all to no avail. Very disapointed. Rubbish service .have now given up.if I ran my business like you I would be out of work.

Update on my recent review: Magazine Direct have contacted me and refunded the extra payment. This shows that perhaps they are listening. We’ll done to their team for acting swiftly.

I recently took out a digital subscription for Horse&Hound. I was completely unable to use it as nothing would download. My email was eventually answered after a few days stating that they had no record of me. I eventually managed with much electronic hard work to get the app to work. My bank account however was debited with two different amounts. I phoned today to query this and an Indian gentleman told me the second amount had been held suspended on a previous account from 2019! He couldn’t explain why they hadn’t asked for it before if it was owing and why I had to pay it now if it had been suspended or what it was connected to. He continued to go round in circles until in exasperation I gave up. I think that’s why they use call centres.

I ordered a magazine and they didn't bother sending the free supplement with it - even though the supplement has more pages than the magazine itself! When I complained they said it must have got lost but I don't know why they would send both bits separately? They then claimed that they had sent it again, but it has not arrived and again they blame the postal service. Absolutely rubbish experience.

Ordered 4 Total Film single editions in December - nope, we only send you 2, then told to reorder, nope, no longer available. Order another set... same story.... fail to arrive, resent those - and still haven't arrived in Australia. I then ordered another single edition.. and well.. would you guess that it again hasn't arrived. They take your order, but there is NO EMAIL to state that it has been sent. There CASE MANAGEMENT system is rotten. What is wrong with this company ? The previous company that Total Film used was 200% better.

Magazines direct is literally the worst company I've ever dealt with! I ordered 3 magazines at the beginning of Dec 2020. Received two of them 5 months later and now it's going on 7-8 months and still have not received my. third magazine!! Seriously wtf! I don't get how this company can even stay in business! I've emailed them about 5 times and still nothing.

This company is terrible, you take a subscription out then don't receive the magazines. After you ring they eventually sort it then suddenly a week without a magazine , have spoken to customer service & she made me feel stupid & insisted the magazine would arrive the next week, I couldnt make her see that not for the first time the magazine didn't arrive! In the end she cut me off.

Very awful experience dealing with this company. For no reason I lost access to my subscription and no one in this company can explain why. It takes weeks and tons of emails to communicate them on just tiny issues and they seem completely lost. And guess what, I still don’t have access to my subscription. Life is better without magazinesdirect.com, trust me.

This company steal money from your account, when you try to contact them they ignore you, my bank is trying to get the money back for me, please do not order anything from this company, read the reviews on other websites, there are no good reviews , you have been warned !

ordered four back issues of US PC Gamer, never delivered. called many times, finally got a hold of Kelly in customer serviced. Sent details of order three separate times. no reply. Then sent email string to UK PC Gamer supplier. got reply, then they went radio silent. finally gave up and put in a dispute with my credit card company. what a waste of a supplier.

They were unable to fulfill an order due to overselling on their end and sent an email stating a refund would issued within 3 to 5 days. It's been over two weeks. They also do not reply to emails.

Payment taken out of m account for $86.40. I did not authorize. And living in the US makes it difficult making contact. And it's for magazine that I have no interest in. Do not deal with this company.

4 weeks I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with missing issues that I am still paying for. I’ve lost count how many time I have contacted the customer service team and I keep getting told that the issue is being rectified and escalated, I’ve been told this over 15 times now. Agents fail to phone back when promised. A total joke of a company. The worst experience with a company that I have ever had. I’m still being promised the problem is being sorted and like an idiot I’m waiting for a call back that will not come. Thanks Amanda for failing to call me back last week you’re just another in the long line of clueless lying employees that shouldn’t be allowed near a telephone or computer. Somebody high up should take control of the useless muppets that work for these clowns. Avoid and buy direct through iTunes or your local magazine retailer.

Very poor company. I cancelled a subscription well before the renewal, but they still took the annual fee on a recurring debit card authority. I have emailed them four times about a refund, but it takes them at least a week to reply. At first they acknowledged that I'd cancelled the subscription, but claimed that they had no record of the payment and asked for proof. I sent them a screenshot of my bank account showing the money being taken. They replied that they still couldn't find a record of the payment, but that I should take up the matter with my bank to get a refund. My bank wouldn't oblige, as the payment wasn't taken under a direct debit arrangement, but they blocked the card agreement and advised me to go back to the company. So I emailed again, and today, two weeks later, I've had a reply. This time the company are saying that the payment was made under a direct debit, which indicates to me that they have found the payment, but don't want to give me a refund. So I've emailed back to tell them what I think of them. My subscription was £36.80, so it's not worth taking out a small claim against them, but if they're doing this to other people, they are effectively stealing money. Lessons learned - DON'T subscribe through Magazines Direct and DON'T set up a continuing card payment authority.

I’m 4 magazines behind in my subscription, i’ve sent emails and i’ve called. Their response is that their computer says it has been delivered so there is nothing more they can do. When i go to my account it says that all of the recent copies are sold out so i can’t get a replacement. I even went on fb to their page and complained and all i get is that due to covid all our staff are really busy in any emails i receive. As a company they are woeful and i suspect even if i cancel my subscription that i won’t actually see my money returned. Choose another supplier as these people are the worst i have ever encountered, if i could give a minus score then i would.
