I haven’t received my money even though they have received my phone

Sent my iPad off in very good condition No scratches on the display (I had checked multiple times) Just had a message to say it has multiple scratches and have now offered me over £100 less Absolutely absurd I always kept it in a case and barely used it. I didn’t put the scratches there so they’re obviously either making up rubbish or they damaged it themselves not to mention communication has been very slow and poor. Not happy.

Thank you for the review Eliza, we are sorry to hear you are unhappy with our service. The device was flagged for having light scratches on the display and therefore would fall under our good condition from the website. This was accepted by yourself and payment is being made this evening at 6pm, Kind regards Mazuma

Offered a fair price on a phone that had literally never been out of it's original packaging. "problem with order - multiple scratches" was the classification after they'd finished inspecting it on arrival. They offer top prices to get your tech, and then literally fabricate imperfections to reduce the offer. On the plus side, the DPD doorstep pickup and same day payment when an offer is accepted is a good experience. Just a shame about the rest of the experience. Do not use, as others have said, take your tech to a local CEX (or similar), at least you can challenge the gradings if you disagree,

I am really disappointed with my whole experience with Mazuma mobile. They removed £75 from the price that was originally agreed, and after the delays I experienced with a mistake from DPD, and further delays with back-and-forward emails this week, I missed the window in which I could have maximised the resale value for my very good condition iPhone 11, on sites such as eBay and Gumtree. The scratch that is shown on the photo, which Mazuma took 24hrs to send through after evaluating the phone, was not something I recalled and doesn't show up on the photos I took before sending the phone off in bubble wrap. Not only do I feel like I have no option but to accept Mazuma’s revised lower offer of a “poor” condition iPhone, given the photos sent through of its current condition, I also have to accept the lower value (of around £40) that Mazuma now values a “poor” condition iPhone compared to where Mazuma would have valued a “poor” condition phone when I started the order 2 weeks ago. The whole process has been much more trouble than its worth, and Mazuma has not lived up to its promise of "The price you see is the price you get!"

Good afternoon Nicholas, Thank you for your review, We are sorry to hear of your experience. We do list clearly within our terms and condition that scratches do amend the grading to poor based on 3 or more of them on the screen. We have provided the image to you. Apologies for the delay, we have received a very high number of photo requests. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact a member of our customer service team on 0345 872 3000 or alternatively you can email customerservices@mazumamobile.com Kind regards Mazuma

The service was good. However, I sent my phone in twice, first time they reduced the price by more than 50% because it supposedly had a deep scratch on the screen (I know it didn't). I requested it back and sent it back to them a few weeks later...... Guess what? No issue at all, paid in full.

Good morning, Thank you for your review! We did recently change the way in which we grade scratches and so in turn we prevent returning more devices. This seems to have affected your orders. I am happy to see you have now been paid in full for your device. Your business means a lot to us, so if you ever have additional feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out via our email at customerservices@mazumamobile.com or call us on 03458723000. Kind regards, Mazuma

Very disappointed, I sent 2 I-phones, an I-pad 4 and a mini I pad. The mini I-pad had a cracked screen and I appreciated the £5 payment for it. The other 3 items were downgraded from the suggested offers with the I-pad 4 being reduced from £35 to ZERO!! The fault advised was a yellow mark in the screen. How can the I-pad mini be worth more with a cracked screen?! Both the I-phones were stated to have similar screen issues and the 5s was reduced from £15 to £2.50 and the 6s from £30 to £10!! I have given 2 stars for the speed of response to my first enquiry and subsequent prompt supply of packaging etc. Had I had to pay postage to return the items I would be even more annoyed!!

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service you received from Mazuma. Unfortunately, your device was found to have a yellow mark within the OLED screen, this comes from age and use of the pixels and so they turn yellow. Due to the cost of a screen replacement we were unable to offer you the original valuation price. Not all companies test for the same things, this is based on the market they sell back on to. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact a member of our customer service team on 0345 872 3000 or alternatively you can email customerservices@mazumamobile.com. Kind regards Mazuma

Could never log on to my account even though resetting my password numerous times. Past that, service was ok. Relatively regular communication on progress but be prepared to wait.

Firstly I thought, wow what a fantastic company. Very quick with sending through the pre paid package so I could send my device off. Paid for next day delivery. The device has just arrived with them. They’ve just now offered me below half of what I expected upon sending my device off. My device has been well looked after and definitely had no cracks on the screen, but apparently it does now.. Brilliant. Your best bet is to sell your device through a more reliable source. Don’t make the same mistake us all of us and avoid.

Same as everyone else. I needed to get rid of two old iPhone 5s, one admittedly with a dodgy home button, but the other one was alright with some scratches. Original total offer of £25 was bumped down to £5 because of a yellow mark. I won't lose sleep over £20 as my phones were just lying around the house anyway, but would advise you to sell the phone yourself if you want to make more money.

Have a phone with broken screen with no display but in full working condition (I can mirror its screen to my TV and use the phone) Repairing it costs equal to its original price so I sent this to Mazuma, they initially evaluated at £ 20. After they received the phone, they said the phone isn't powering up and offered to pay £ 5 for it. I didn't trust them and of course wanted them to send the phone back rather than selling for £ 5 I received the phone (which is the only reason for the 2 stars instead of 1 star) and the phone powered up even before charging. I connected it to a screen and was showing %15. Their customer services said "our technicians will tag device as no power on if the device will not meet the percentage of the battery they require when they charge the phone." Looking at some other similar reviews, I think they simply tried to scam me into giving it up for £ 5 .. I understand there are people that are happy with their services so just beware before trusting them

The original quote was £80 for my Samsung S7 mobile phone with no major issues. I was still using it until the upgrade to a new phone. I post it but they offered me only £5 due to a screen burn that I was not aware of. I sent it with its original box. I rejected the offer and asked for it to be returned back. It took them 1 week where I had to chase, and when I opened the box it was not sent back with its original box, it was a box of an iPhone! Not too organised.

I sent a perfect Iphone 7 plus that was unlocked as I bought it sim free. They offered me £220 but then I received an email knocking off £10 as 'The phone was locked to EE'. Utter rubbish!!. I contacted them but they insisted it was locked. I also contact EE who told me no way was it locked to them. However Mazuma would not listen. I eventually accepted the lower offer but had to contacted them to get my money. Will not use them again !!.
