I have been using Modius since March this year. I was a reasonable weight but was about to have a hip replacement and have spinal problems with tremors. I was worried that I would put weight on during a time of less excercise. I have hardly missed a day and slowly but surely my weight has dropped by over 7 kilos and my body is much leaner. I haven’t really noticed any major drops just a little at a time.

Hi Roberta, this is a great achievement considering your mobility restrictions over the last few months. Small and steady losses add up in the longer term and we look forward to hearing how you get on when you're able to be more active again. Not showing great weight loss but seem to be mintaining for example after holidays not putting on any weight or little weight. However I enjoy reduced stress levels and good sleep patterns. I have an under active thyroid and that has not changed any. Overall would not give my modius back re overall benefits but if honrst bit disappointed in not losing as much weight as I had hoped.

Hi Mary, thanks for sharing your experience and we're pleased to hear that your Modius usage seems to be helping with the maintenance of your weight loss - holidays are usually when all our efforts the rest of the year get undone and then we're back to square one again. Great you're feeling the other benefits associated with the vestibular stimulation that Modius provides, as these will inadvertently help with your weight loss and overall health in the long term too.

It’s helping you with your focus and motivation to loose weight. Every day one hour to consider the goals. And.....really deep sleep since I use Modius. Totally lost 20 kg.

I received my Modius two weeks ago. Up to day 7 everything was woking okay, but on day eight my headset refused to connect to the App. After 4 attempts to reconnect it did work, but I got close to sending it back. Far too soon to see if it comes close to weight loss and other claims, but I have notice a very minor weight loss and some minimising of cravings for sugar based foods. I have contacted the Modius support staff a couple of times and I have to say they are very helpful and polite. Full marks for that.

Unfortunately due to a health condition I was unable to use the modius for very long. But I just wanted to say how good and courteous the customer service was and making it no problem for me to return the product for a full refund.

It’s mad I use it most days, it’s stopped me snacking and chocolate sugar etc , amazing but I haven’t lost weight !! I still addicted to diet orange and fatty foods , it’s working but not having the weight reduction effect yet , I think stress plays a huge part in my weight gain, I’m disappointed but sticking with it Andrew

Totally chilled and sleeping better..love the hour 'me' time every day ! No reduction in weight or cravings,but haven't been 100% on plan.

it has changed my life 17.5 lbs lost , a few times the app has failed , saying your finished for the day , apart from that it really works

Well I saw Jason on UTV Belfast, I had faith in him and what he was saying made sense. I have had a lot of difficulty in trying to lose weight. I have no appetite and haven't had in about 12 or more years. I attended Endocrinology, I also paid privately to see an Endocrinologist at Ulster Independent Clinic to see if they could shed any light on why I wasn't losing weight. All bloods were normal, thyroid normal. I was also using a gym called Curves as well. I did not lose one lb or one inch while attending. I have been attending Slimming World off and on since 2008. So what could I lose. I researched all information about Modius as it had grabbed my attention. I have been using Modius and my weight loss has been a bit betterl, also I am doing the 5:2 diet, so I cannot say if it's the 5:2 diet or Modius, which is helping me lose weight or a combination of both. I am very pleased with Modius and would definitely recommend it to anyone. The sticky pads need some attention, I have watched Jason on YouTube talking about this problem. Anyway, I have written enough - it will end up a trilogy lol if I don't stop. Thanks again Jason and the rest of the crew.

I have used modius for a few years but I have had to send it back 3 or 4 times to have it fixed and had to pay £90. I was told this was unusual but reading this I realise that it seems a common problem. The headset is so uncomfortable to wear, not to mention looking ridiculous. I gave up last year because it broke again and I’m fed up paying to get it fixed. I ended up buying a refurbished one last week in the hope that this one may be a bit more durable but I don’t feel any of the rocking affects and it certainly does not make my sleep any better like the old one used to. Really something this expensive should not be breaking on a yearly basis if not more.

Modius Sleep headband did nothing for me, not even the slightest of the “rocking” effects, never mind effects on sleep. Had problems in getting the first batches of electrodes to stay in contact and in getting the app to connect on two separate phones. Tried both high and low intensities for several weeks. Customer service helpful, but I unfortunately over-ran my test period while trying it and now am stuck with the device

Firstly, let me say that the device works. No question about it. Use it every day, and you will lose weight. However, the device is buggy and prone to faults, and customer service is sub-par at best. I have had my headset for two years. It developed a fault shortly after it was out of warranty, and the company charged me £90 to get it repaired. Less than a year later my headset has developed another fault, and this time I can't get in touch with anyone, because my emails and messages are going unanswered. There's no phone number to ring either, and the live chat on the website is never staffed. Essentially, buying a Modius headset is a bit of a gamble - if it works it's brilliant, but if you have any problems you're on your own.

Lost a little weight. Did feel better. Not happy that it stopped working. £70.00 + vat to fix I was quoted. Not happy. I purchased the case to keep it in, looked after it. Very expensive gadget to work for approximately 18 months ish. !!!!

Hi Amanda, thanks for your review and we're sorry that your headset was outside of the warranty period when you contacted us. If you wish us to check whether the repair is chargeable or not, please send the headset to us as we won't know for sure until reviewed by our engineer. Please get in touch at any time if you wish to resume your Modius usage again.

There are 2 things that are bothering me: 1. It doesn't pair on my phone. This is a Samsung galaxy s7. I have to pair it with my partners phone who is not home every day... 2. Last night I used it around 7 pm for an hour and now it is 7.30 pm the next day and it says I have to wait another 3 hours and 40 minutes to use it again. This means I can't use it today. Why does it do this? This means that I can't use th3 device every day as advised. Can this be resolved?

Hi Amanda, Sorry to hear you've been having these issues. The app should work with your model of phone so we'll email you from our team account and walk you through a few troubleshooting steps. The headset is restricted to one hour's use per day but it should reset after 16 hours to allow flexibility in your day. If you're getting locked out unnecessarily, we'll also send you instructions on how to fix this. Best wishes, Team Modius.

I lost a bit of weight at the beginning , but I was dieting as well . but since the dieting stopped so has the weight loss . I can’t say that it has stopped my cravings but it does make me sleep really deeply. Am not sure if the issue is that I have menieres and it just doesn’t work with the nerve damage but am still using it as the sleeping really helps. I have to omit that the service from modius has been so good there is always someone to answer your questions and the Facebook page is great being able to read the good and bad stories is refreshingly truthful

I am still trying to decide if it’s doing anything for me. I have good days where I find I don’t eat as much, but then I find I have days where I overeat and sugar binge I am 6 weeks in so will have a better idea in 12 weeks
