I dont even want to give u one star. So unprofessional. Telephone attitude is horrendous. Course been cancelled 10 months in a row. N am still fighting to get my money back. Legal action is being taken.

We were scammed, but we managed to get our money back.. We pursuaded our bank we were charged for services not rendered and we were not provided a service they promised. Eventhough we paid by our debit card, we managed to get our bank to make a CHARGEBACK. They basically retrieved the money paid to them and refunded us directly. We were also about to take them to small claims court. Citizen's Advice told us we would win they case though the courts as Next Step Beauty are pretty well known. Just persevere. They are hoping you would give up. If they lose, they will have to pay court costs. The terms and conditions on their "CONTRACT" will not stand up to the court scrutiny.

Do NOT book with this place- booked my course over 6 months ago and they've continued to cancel it last minute . I asked for a refund on day 14 and the lady on the phone said I couldn't have one (ended up arguing ) in fear of losing my money booked onto the next month course . This was then cancelled - I spoke with the manager who is useless and said I could of had the refund in the beginning but now I can't as out of the 14 days so staff are incompetent giving advice they clearly shouldn't be . I've since emailed and said ill be taking this further if the course isn't provided next month . Who wants to do online nail course how Is this even accredited? Surely you need 1to1 training which they can't seem to understand. Do not access your online portal as this is their way of saying they can charge you , I havnt viewed none of it and the manager actually said due to this I could of had a full refund now I can't as they say I'm out of the 14 days . No clear answers and staff do not want to solve the issue they state it is down to you to keep emailing or contact the manager yourself even though they run off the same email account .

I purchased an online gel course and ‘complete’ gel kit through next steps beauty. I have found the course and the videos to be pretty good although a lot of typing errors in the work books. I came to do my practical work only to discover that the ‘complete ‘ gel nail kit wasn’t complete at all . There were three other necessary tools needed to do the course. Disappointed, I messaged the company and Shaun the manager couldn’t care less. He was very rude and not prepared to apologise or offer the items needed at a discount Customer service is very very poor I won’t be using the company again

What a terrible company booked a course with these had nothing but problems trying to get through to someone when I did they were very rude and not helpful never got date for course had to get in touch with my bank to try get money back as they wouldn’t refund so stay away from these it’s scam they take u money and that’s it

At last found review page that allow me to tell truth - trust pilot are deleting reviews that tell truth about being a scam. It's relly bad an need to tell worl this is SCAM! SCAM SCAM SCAM. Next Step beauty reviews look pretty good on other sites and do not tell truth. ~Not fair.

Horrendous company - so many people scammed and trading standards are doing nothing to shut them down before others suffer the same fate. My course has been moved 8 times and I was spoken to like a cretin for asking for a refund. I was so shocked I couldn't even speak properly. When I emailed requesting a refund they declined the request so I've contacted my credit card company as they do chargebacks in the same way your bank or paypal will. Get your money back, do not let them take it!!

They are a complete scam, I've been booked on a course twice which was cancelled, they were willing to put me on the month after which I couldn't attend due to work. Asked to be refunded they say because accessed training portal I've done course. I would warn anyone wanting to do courses thru this company if you have money to burn go ahead but if you are serious about a career in this industry AVOID AT All COSTS

Absolutely horrible. I booked onto the Full Nail technician course pre lockdown, I was contacted just before lockdown that the course would have to be cancelled due to lack of staff and that I would be contacted again to reschedule. Lockdown came into effect and understandable all Business were to be closed as stated by the government. After lockdown I tried several times to rebook onto this course at the Kings cross branch, just a few days before the course I would get an email to say the course has been cancelled. I did this a few times and each time the same thing happened and the course was cancelled, not good especially if you have to book leave to attend these classes. I called and sent Next step beauty emails requesting a refund as it had been 2years and I still hadn’t been able to book onto this course. Since then they have tried to persuade me to join their online class which is not suitable for me as I learn best in a classroom environment. I choose to attend the classroom classes because all the equipment was provided for you while you trained with NSB. However, with the online classes there are no materials provided yet the course is still the same price and considered “an upgrade” Today the company emailed me stating that because I have accessed the online portal (without completing any courses) and signed the terms and agreement they will not issue me a refund. Why must I be bullied into completing an online course when my learning boundaries do not allow me to do so? Next step beauty are not able to offer the course I paid for and for the past 2years have cancelled my course several times. Stay away from this company, I am truly disappointed and out of pocket for a qualification I will never get.

Absolutely shocking company, cancelled full nail course 3 times, then offered online course instead. Who wants to learn how to do nails online seriously!! Asked for a refund but said no because I had accessed the online portal to start assessments you have to complete before you go to the course which was cancelled 3 times. Started small claim and they have requested more time. I would rather throw £350 in the air than let them keep it so I will be keeping going till I get it back. Avoid at all costs!!! :(

Booked a classroom based course with next step beauty, as soon as they have your money they cancel the course and try to hide behind the terms and conditions. Both Scott Mardon and Jessica-Leigh Mardon are both being investigated for fraud. Please do not use this company, they will be closed down within a year and you will lose your money

Booked a course in Birmingham, they cancelled it and refused to refund. Thank God for Visa Credit card. The owner is an utter Cee U Next Tuesday. Vile old s l a p p e r.

For anyone who is looking to book with this company DON’T. They are an absolute scam, I booked a course on the 3rd of Jan which the course was due on the 19th of Feb, I gave the full payment however, it wasn’t till the 4th of Feb (2 weeks before the course) I got a phone call to say the course no longer exists in the north east, i then asked for a refund after speaking to one of the workers who attitude was horrendous I finally got put through to someone who was on the refund team, they said they would get back to me in the next 24hrs but they did not, the only way they got back to me was as I gave email after email telling them I will take it further which is still due to happen if I do not get my money back. I then finally got a response on email asking for my bank details so I gave them, after this I still got no response so I gave them a call and then I got told that I won’t get my money back until up to 14 days !!! So I sent an email saying I would like some sort of proof of the transaction of my refund and they have not got back to me. It’s just not on they have took my money but then they are prolonging it to give me the refund. If this does not get sorted I will take this further.

Avoid this company! They are very dodgy! Firstly they advertise the course at one price and then take more money from your account! They do not refund your money. They can continually cancel the course you have been booked on at short notice and claim that when booking you digitally sign to give them the right to do what they want! However this is not the case! They will not get away with it. I am taking this matter as far as I need to get my money back.

I booked to go on a course in September and I AM STILL WAITING. They’ve changed the course date and location on numerous occasions it has now changed to February I’ve been waiting 6 months to go on a 3 day course, I’m now starting to believe that this company is a complete SCAM They are very rude on the phone I haven’t had an apology. I have asked for a refund and there refusing to give me one. I have contacted my bank and will be contacting omnibus to resolve this DON’T BOOK A COURSE WITH THIS COMPANY !! it’s a ripoff

I don’t even want to give this this company a star at all. Next step beauty cancelled my booking twice and I requested for them to give me my money back and this was in November till today I have not received it. I call them almost every day to request for my money back and is excuse after excuse. They tell me to email their refunds team who apparently only work Tuesday - Thursday, I have sent more than 10 email and my bank details but I have not received anything from them. This company’s customer service is disgusting and appalling 🙄 They are unreliable STAY AWAY FROM THEM 🤬🤬🤬

Next Step Beauty is a total SCAM. It is run by one person out of a trading estate in Norwich. They supposedly offer classroom courses across the country. You are lured into signing up for the courses in the city of your choice. In fact they don't offer any classroom based courses at all, but use a legal loophole to lure you in. If you are unaware, they will say to you by clicking on the online course material, you have entered into a contract, which effectively cancels your claim to any refund. However, do NOT be afraid to challenge this guy, and your consumer rights are fully protected.

 If you have already been lured into this trap, do NOT hesitate to contact Trading Standards or Citizen Advice Bureau. They will guide you on how to take the Next Step Beauty to court. I am shocked that they are still in business as they have been doing this for many years. But I understand they are on the relevant authorities' radar.
