The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They need to return direct phone contact to the stores. My local store has people standing around doing nothing meanwhile you can never reach them by phone. I have vowed to never shop there again. My story is a long saga of disappointment. My path to having a warranty honoured was long. A blaming game between Noel Leeming and Samsung is something a customer should not be caught up in or delayed in their warranty claim.

Just avoid Noel Leeming. Even if it means travelling further or paying more. Their strapline "Always happy to help" is marketing fluff. They only exist to fleece customers. My last (and final) purchase at Noel Leeming has resulted in 3 separate issues that are unresolved. 1. Purchase. Sales Rep at the Royal Oak store blatantly lied to my face. He stated that the delivery team operated after hours. I double checked, "after dinner at 8pm?" And he replied "of course". Delivery team only operate business hours. Their delivery driver then rang to arrange a time during the day, which wasn't suitable. When I stated what I was told instore, the poor guy replied "the sales guys are always doing this". 2. Delivery. When we finally got delivery, the installers scratched our front porch by dragging the hand trolley lying down (rather than on its wheels). I have cctv footage of this carelessness. Then, after they left, we noticed they gouged our polished wooden floor, presumably by dragging the washing machine across the floor, rather than using "sliding discs" for the machine's feet. And finally, when using the machine, they didn't connect the wastewater pipe well enough, causing leakage. And to top it off, the machine only takes cold water. The installer did not warn us, and didn't put a cap on the hot water outlet, so when we used the sink, hot water gushed on to the floor! They just DON'T CARE! 3. Complaints. Firstly I called the call centre. Got a friendly and attentive lady who was very sympathetic and apologetic. She said she'd escalate to the regional manager who'd she'd have call me. It never occurred. A week later I went into the Royal Oak shop and spoke with the manager. Thankfully the sales rep was away, as I would have given him a serve! The store manager stated she was deputusing and would escalate. Took my details. Even stated that the gouged wooden floor could be dealt with by their insurance. Since then, nothing. Today I have called the call centre again, with the hope of being put through to management at Head Office. I'm still waiting for my call to be answered. I've typed this review while on hold for (now) 43 mins. I'm getting sick of hearing the automated message "one of our helpful team members will be with you shortly". I will never, ever patronise Noel Leeming again. I promise. Their complete lack of care, respect and honesty is alarming; especially for a large NZ company. And I feel they've shown a total lack of customer empathy and care towards me. My experience is obviously reflective of endemic issues within the company. I wish them well, but I guess they'll soon wonder why their sales are going to competitors. Can't say I didn't try to warn them.

Went to the New Lunn ave store. Was greeted very quickly by staff. But when I explained why I was there for customer service help and not a new purchase. The staff melted away. There was only one competent female staff member who was able to work the complicated request system to do what I needed. It was very strange all the other team members I met were male and I got the distinct impression they were all work shy. Dumping the difficult unwanted tasks on the one woman while they got credit/commission for any sales they were making.

Noel leeming Tech services. Been out around 5 times Norman the training on your staff is appalling. Every call and home call out has resulted in more issues James not answering calls or texts doesn't resolve incompetent staff. When you muck up FIX it The reviews here say it all. Wow. Upon reading all of the other reviews I am not surprised. Noel Leeming customer service is absolutely below par. I bought a dryer over a year ago. I paid extra for delivery and installation. They didn't instal it properly (wrong ventilation system). I have been trying to rectify this for OVER a year. Meanwhile, my house is getting all of the condensation and heat from the dryer INTO my house. Mould. Mildew. I have emailed every month for a year. I have rung. I have visited the store. Today was the grand finale of customer service fails. I went in to the store (again) and was told that the manager - Moorhouse Ave, Christchurch, Daniel Rawiri (who I had been emailing) was in store. So I waited to talk to him. For over 25 minutes. As he saw me waiting and he chatted to a customer about her security system. Whilst not only ignoring me but 2 other people waiting to BUY things (one was just a cord!). This manager was at the TILL. He was the only person at the till. The guy behind us gave up and put his cord back. The women in front of us was huffing and sighing and rolling her eyes. We gave up. How on earth do you not go "sorry, for the wait, I see you, I'll be with you in a minute" or ANYTHING to acknowledge that he sees you. We are beyond frustrated by the poor service. Will NOT be buying from Noel Leeming again.

Noel Leeming is by far the WORST retailer in NZ. I have spend so much money with these guys in the past, but they have finally broken me. Have you ever tried to get hold of anyone at NL? They tell you the phone wait time is around 30 minutes, but I have waited over an hour to talk to someone, who it end sit hasn’t got a bloody clue, nor gives a dam about giving you reasonable service. The chat line on the website is a joke and seldom works. I really don’t know how you expect to stay in business you guys, your reputation like your service, sucks

Appalling customer service from the Whangarei store. Dealings in the past through my work where I needed to purchase a number of large items. Was emailing a staff member for quotes etc, then all of a sudden absolutely no replies despite my further emails, staff person still works there so I know he was just ignoring me. Good for Barells 100%! secured a very good sale. 2 weeks ago I wanted an item which was not in store so I ordered and paid for it then and there, was told it will take 5 working days to come in, fine, 2 weeks later nothing. Phoned last Friday to be told, Oh the Supplier is closed can I ring back tomorrow? Sent an email through their online contact system, received this reply Thank you for your email. We are showing stock for the .............................in some stores. Once you place an order and if your local store is not showing stock we can organise a stock transfer but this process will take between 2 - 3 working days to arrive into the receiving store. Great response but why did the store not offer this in the first place. Most definitely would not recommend using this store again. Totally useless!

Several times I visited the store in Whangarei and never been able to talk to a representative not matter how long I waited. Every time I found what I was looking for (cell phone, HD, fitness bracelet) elsewhere.

Recently I given microwave for service, Noel Leeming confirmed as it's under warranty and accepted for factory check. Later they called me to pay 100 NZD as my product is not under warrant. In call they were very rude, pls dont buy \go to Noel Leeming for any case.

St Luke’s Branch. I went to 2degrees to update my plan to take advantage of new phone offer. which included a TV. They didn’t have the phone in stock that I wanted and suggested I went to Noel Leeming where I could get the same offered deal. The salesperson I dealt with at Noel Leeming was appalling. I have not encountered this type of blatant dishonesty in a retail setting before. He also showed remarkable apathy throughout the process. When it came to organising the sale with the paperwork he became aware I was an existing 2degrees customer. He said the deal did not apply for me, as an existing customer. It was only for new customers. I explained 2degrees had not told me this. He replied that he was “100% about this. Ring 2degrees and cancel my plan. tell them you are going on to prepay”. He reminded me of phone number, and while waiting for the call to be answered I said I would tell them I just wanted to update my plan. He replied “ No, don’t do that. Just tell them you are cancelling to go on prepay.” I asked him if he wanted me to lie, he kind of smirked. At this stage I walked out. I may be fast approaching retirement age mate and may not be the smartest cookie in the jar but I can still pick up on unethical behaviour when it jumps out at me. Won’t be back. 2degrees sorted it. Upgraded the plan straight away.

I think my real problem with Noel Leeming that for an electronics/technology store, their product range in some product lines is generally poor. I went to buy a (SD) card reader and they had 1 brand/type only and it did not have a slot for a Memory stick I had. I said your range is pretty limited and the sales guy said he thought it was pretty good. For a technology store, I expect a lot more including a lot more choice. This seems to be an issue with choice with Noel Leeming. Pretty poor really for a retail chain that thinks they are no. 1 in New Zealand

Went to store to support my local Waipapa Noel Leeming . After consultation we decided on a Samsung washing machine . Asked the sale person for the usual local school staff discount . Told no sorry as product is already on at a really good sale price . That’s cool . Week later pick up product only to find it is now $240 dollars cheaper . When I asked the sales staff what’s with the huge sale price . I thought it was already sale priced ? Enter the corporate mumbo jumbo . Blah blah blah . No this is a Super Sale ??? Really disappointed in Waipapa Noel Leeming . Just another big corporate. They didn’t used to behave like this . I shall remember in future that our years long loyalty to this business was one sided . In future I’ll look elsewhere . Good bye Noel Leeming .

Been dealing with Noel Leeming as my preferred retailer vitually the whole time they have been in NZ. Not any more! The Whakatane branch manager was rude, unco-operative and did not want to help me with a fault in a phone I had bought a few days previously. He first told me what I wanted to do which was transferr music files to my new phone from my old phone, He then told me I should have bought a more expensive phone because it was a cheap one and then he wanted $60 dollars for helping me out. He then took my 2 phones and started going into all the settings , at which I asked him not to alter anything. He put both phones down and said im am not going to help and told me to leave. And then in a loud voice he proceeded to tell all his staff that I was the problem.

THE REVIEWS HERE SAY IT ALL, NO accountability, tech team service appalling tv set up incorrectly- Deccos set up incorrectly. They advertise a fridge online they didn't have stock. I was looking at the picture online when the call center said I must have the wrong shop as they didn't stock that fridge and hung up, they have been warned by the commerce commission they continue to do this when I went into the Manukau store to purchase a dehumidifier that was advertised to be told there was no stock. James and Stu take ownership. Stu you had this information way back you failed to mention this on both of your calls. Guess that sums it up.

Noel Leeming has the worst customer service ever. I have bought a fridge (Haier) online. After 4 days of no other follow up, I have contacted Mitch online and he said that he will find out for me more details about my order and get back to me within 24-48 hours. After a day he send me an email and inform me that my order is with the supplier and once it’s in Sylvia Park for pick up I will receive an email with update and if I am still waiting for my order???? Next day I visited Sylvia Park branch and tried to get some more info from them but they told me to contact online people. They won’t communicate with their own people. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Seriously!!! I would understand if they are very busy with other customers, but they just talk between each other and doing nothing! Well, then I contacted Mitch via email again if he found out from their supplier when they are gonna get restock of my fridge. But he again told me … ” I am not able to give you ETA on your product, once it’s in the store for collecting you receive an update via email”. So the following day I have contacted the supplier (Haier) and asked them about their stock and they were able to give me an update on their current stock and when it’s the next one on my product and if I can tell my retailer to get in touch with them. It took me literally 2 minutes on the supplier online chat to get this information. After informing Noel Leeming customer service what I have found out from the supplier and if they can get in touch with them. Haha, no answer to my email anymore but yay my fridge was ready for collection 3 hours later 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 What a miracle 😂 Honestly, I just wanted to know when they are restocking their warehouse from the supplier and I was expecting they will find out the details for me. Not that I, as their customer, had to find the details on my own and give NL the push to finally contact the supplier as well 🤦🏻‍♀️ that is very disappointing customer service!!!
