“Norma Kamali sleeping bag coats are only for tall people.
- Incorrect measurements on website
- Shockingly appalling customer service ( especially for a designer brand )
- No inclusivity of 'non - model proportions '
I ordered an XS sleeping bag coat ( their 'classic icon' from the 70s ) and it's a safety hazard!
The length of the coat stated on the website is incorrect ( regardless of how you measure coat length )
I'm 5"3 and I keep on tripping on the coat. I tried contacting them and their customer service is a poor excuse of customer service:
- I've called them >10 times over the past 3 months and it always goes to voicemail ( you're supposed to leave a message to get them to call you back ). I received one call back but due to the time difference, which I stated in the message, they left a voicemail and told me to call a number... which also went to voicemail! I've tried calling that number back >5 times and I've not heard anything from ANYONE since.
- Don't bother emailing info@normakamali - the only point of contact was rude, sassy and refused to properly read my emails ( or the purpose of the emails ). Now they've just stopped replying and won't respond - not the type of customer service you want from buying an $840 coat.
I didn't even ask for a refund - I love the coat and just wanted a solution to get it shortened but they refuse to even hear me.
If they've had 40 years to refine this 'classic icon', surely they'd be able to get the sizing right? It's probably because they don't listen to customer feedback.
They just told me that I should have got the knee-length coat ( which is ridiculous because who knows what the length of that coat would be and also is the full length coat then exclusively for tall people?? )
