I like learning jazz piano with open studio. It’s been seven months since I joined an OS member and I am pretty satisfied with various lesson which I never get bored. OS has given me an opportunist to increase jazz vocabulary such as Bebop, rhythm and voicings, it helps me to improve my level. Additionally, all instructors are world-class jazz musician!

7 stars, like the podcast, but I can't get that to work. I think the best thing is the sense of community, the bond with other students, that you can't get elsewhere. You feel like part of a family.

I love Open Studio! Its value is as large as the amount of time and practice I can put in. All levels covered well, by a large team of expert improvisers who also know how to teach, and discover new ways to look at music (=new courses!) all the time. Peace, and piano!

Nice content but user experience with an Android smartphone is not so good. If I want to start a video or navigate between lesson there's always a variable lag of time. Theres not enough space on the screen to avoid pressing buttons we don't want to press, looping is not precise and all operation is charge by a lot of waste of time to navigate. All fonction aviable (keyboard piano roll, transcription, subtitles, loop fonction ) présent very often bugs and they don't work correctly. Videos too, they are sometimes very long and the good information need to be extrapolated from a lot of words and space fillers. I suggest to invest on a platform "mobile friendly", a lighter one, that allow to navigate quickly and without waste of time. All fonction like piano roll, synchronized slice sheet musique, loop and so on must be revised to remove bugs and problem, they slow down a lot all the system without advantages. I use a lot YouTube, I pay for removing ads, it's fast, audio and video have an enough good quality to profit completely of the content. There's not fancy option that's true, and looping is almost impossible for z lack of precision. I hope my ideas are clear, if you want we can discuss again about these subjects. Best regards Stefano Schipani

OpenStudio is a mega resource for all musicians - not just for piano but for all instruments. Not only are the courses brilliant, client service is also superb in responding to all types of questions. Highly recommended!

I don't think I use Open Studio in a very conventional way — which I think is one of its many great strengths. I was a touring and recording musician for 30 years, and although I don't play out anymore, I still play (and, more to the point) aim to improve every single day. Open Studio by now has accumulated such a vast repository of musical knowledge that for someone like me, who knows a lot and also knows how much I don't know, can find answers to really specific questions I have (and answers to questions I didn't yet know to ask!). But however you use it, it's invaluable, just an amazing resource.

Great broad selection of courses. Easy PDF print outs Generally the teachers talk too much before the real practice is shown.

I'm so glad that I've found your platform. The content quality is extremely high! Right there's only one thing I wish to enhance platform-wise. If you could have 3 states for lesson/practice session it would be better in my opinion: unseen, seen, completed. You'd still manually marked completed lessons but if you watched they'd be marked as seen automatically

I already recommended to a pianist friend. It is really very good .. even for a guitarist. I'm kinda working on the guitar foundations but wish it was split into some thematic sections .. feels a bit daunting, would like some sense of completion on a topic. Very cleanly put together site with the music, fretboard, keyboard and video .. very smooth and professional feel. I like I can go right back into several lessons from a dashboard.

As a professional musician who studied at two post secondary institutions, I'm accessing the more advanced end of the information that Adam and Peter have to offer... That said, I've seen them deliver beginner level info and their amazing... Accessible, authentic and absolutely genuine. That they and their concept haven't been snatched up into some sort of offer of association with a traditional "bricks and mortar" music school blows my mind...

Loving Open Studio. The content is fantastic and these guys are absolute masters at what they teach with methods and new thought approaches that revolutionise learning. In some cases these methods have shaved hours and hours off the previous approaches I had taken, and I have already had many a 'penny drop' moment. Not a fault of the instructors but their latest website upgrade has a few problems. Sometimes videos just freeze. And search results on site don't always match the search queries made. Downloaded PDFs could be better labelled too, sometimes they are just named something like 'lesson 4', which doesn't mean much when you come to search for them later. Otherwise absolutely brilliant though!

Lots to learn. Probably too much. Have played jazz for many years, basically for my own enjoyment. The education that this site offers is wonderful, but to improve requires a lot of work and devotion to practice which is at times a struggle. I’m not panning to give up yet and will continue to search out the areas that will serve me best for level I am at.
