Setup was ok with existing modem and strong internet connection until THERE WAS NONE for 8 hours (at the moment- could be longer) on a Saturday night/Sunday morning with no customer help available. My Origin app is working fine, until I click "manage internet", at which point I receive an "invalid user credentials" message. This is unacceptable and I will be returning to my previous broadband provider. A little buffering is better than hours without any connection at all!

Do not go with Origin. I am on a premium plan and the internet speed is extremely slow to the point I have had to take days off of work. There is a lot of confusion on their part when to pay the bill as there isn't a feature on the Origin app which lets me pay and I missed a payment once so when asking for a payment extension these guys refused to give me one despite me being a loyal customer and holding other accounts eg. electricity, gas with them. Seriously, save yourself the headache and go with a better known provider.

Run a mile in any other direction.. below is a blow by blow of how bad their service is... July - Request origin broadband. Setup at wrong address Invoice sent even when the NBN line was not installed. August 2021 I was notified I need to rasie it with NBN Mid-august NBN notified me that no need to contact them Finally Origin booked an agent to come out at the end of . New invoice was $180 I raised it with Origin.. August 20 I got an email that a case was raised and $91 credit will be issued Sep got an invoice in credit $6 Sep 11th got an invoice outstanding $387 Internet gets suspended Internet gets re-instated October- Jan Things seem smooth Feb invoice $85 - due on the 10th even after stating it needs to be set on the 15th (pay day). Service suspended immediately Payment made on 15th as per norm and I got debited, 2 payments taken and service still not active as the origin broadband team needs to wait 3 days for payment to refelct! Service requested to be canceled on the 16th… with refund requested Service cant be canceled unless you call and speak to someone.. I called several times and waited 30- 45 minutes each time. I requested a callback and it got escalated to a manager who tried to call me, I missed the call. I then called back and spoke to someone who cancel my service in feb March -- my account gets debited…. Im lost for words.

Origin Broadband now has a policy that you cannot opt out of CGNAT. This was a change from past policy, one we were not warned about, and means subscriptions we already bought (Nintendo online yearly subscription for example) are now useless. I was repeatedly told that while they technically COULD disable CGNAT, it was policy not to do so because (it was implied to me), it is cheaper for them this way. I will, of course, be cancelling our origin broadband account, but I just want to warn you all: don’t get origin if you own a Nintendo Switch and want to play online, or any similar system.

After the migration to a new internet provider, My internet stopped working and customer service was unable to help me or give me any directions as they do not know enough about the migration and could not fix my issue. That is ridiculous. Terrible customer service.

absolutely terrible, had been paying $85 a month for several months now, and all of sudden they increase the bill to $114 and then insist that it's always been that

Abysmal service. Both internet and customer support not worth the time or money. Constant drop outs and told to wait 10-20 days on a service I am already paying for even though they claim in advertisements that they will help with a “smooth” moving service. Claims the minimum was 10-20 days when other companies have told us 2-7. Don’t bother, have already cancelled and organised with another company. Origin to stick to energy.

Whatever you do DO NOT go with this service! Non stop issues since getting it. I’ve had to take three days out of my annual leave to wait at home for servicemen who come way outside the time frame or no show. Internet is slow and twice now the internet has stopped working all together: the NBN technician came and trampled on all my plants in the front garden and ran over the front shrubs with his van. Also the hotline there is always +1hr wait with sometimes being on hold for 3 hours. NEVER AGAIN!

We signed up for origin initially very helpful however they could not support any speeds as we live in Cornwall We cancelled and they accepted no further charges 4 month later they have taken £207 from our bank They wont return calls or messages and we would like our money refunded so as far as looking after their customers I feel they don’t care We now have to pay bank charges as they have forced us overdrawn. please Origin sort it

I have read the other reviews and so much of their experiences have been mine as well. The "it is a problem with NBN", "NBN will call you today/tomorrow', "your modem is the problem, buy our modem', it is the adaptor/router/line. But no one fixes the problem. I am changing tomorrow. I would change now but it is 10.30pm. Origin is supposed to be phoning me (you know, the 'if you would like us to call you without losing your place in the queue, press 1 and hang up' story). I was tempted by the $10 bundle saving. Had internet for 1 week and now have not had internet for 1 week and am hotspotting my phone which has cost me an extra $100, till now. Try any other company, with free modem. It can't be worse............. Origin - you are more than disappointing. You have failed.

Since the migration I can't watch movies etc on youtube on any device. Takes 5 minutes to load a 5 minute video. I will be changing providers tomorrow. I think Origin's new owners are trying to deliberately destroy the company.

Terrible customer service. After Origin completed the migration, I experienced an issue with my internet connection. When I called, customer service was unable to resolve the problems. He kept asking the same questions. I was put on several time during the call. Apparently, the customer service representative is not properly trained to perform his duties.

After over a year with origin our connection just stopped three days ago, three call later to Origin and I’ve worked out it’s due to them migrating, whatever that means. All I know is they have no idea when I will be re- connected again (but I’m still paying). ‘Migration’ is an absolute stuff up by their management - absolute bunch of clowns. If you rely on your connection for work or study do not go near them, be warned.

They connected to the wrong apartment and when I called within an hour, they disconnected my broadband, but it's been 2 months and they haven't refunded me the money! I have had to call 10-20 times and people get angry at me for calling and following up! Each department blames it on another and they refuse to allow me to go to different departments. I am seeking legal action, however if I could given them 0 stars I would! They are a scam! Do not go with them!

If I could give NO stars I would. Internet service wasn’t the best at any time but after the migration to a different provider there was NO service at all. Called support numerous times and no idea what they were doing in fact made matters worse as even the intermittent service completely stopped. The most unprofessional person I spoke to, yawned and muffled to himself throughout the call, told me I needed a new router but didn’t offer to order one and just wished me good luck and see what happens!! Absolutely appalling service! Do not sign up with these clowns !!

Signing up to this company was a big mistake. The service is inadequate. I wished that I had stayed with Sky. I was looking at cheaper options and thought that this was a good move at the time. The Internet service isn't very good and when I have contacted customer services I have been told on several occasions that a new router will be sent and this could possibly solve my problems. I've given up on making yet another call and being fobbed off. I just have to accept that the company does not deliver and I will soon be out of contract and will return to Sky or Virgin rather than some cowboy tin pot company. Please spare yourself the aggro and avoid this company. I ironically read poor reviews and stupidly ignored them.
