Absolutely barbaric in my opinion I took my 17 year old dog to them, they said she had pyometra never discussed antibiotics or anything just said shes old, going blind and has breast cancer she will have to be euthanized. I explained she was bouncy and full of life, enjoying her walks, eating and drinking fine. I didn't listen and decided to get a second opinion so I took millie to a private vet who did an ultrasound put millie on a course of antibiotics and pain relief we are two weeks on now shes doing really well and enjoying her last bit of time in life her infection is clearing up, any extra weeks are a bonus we have her here if we had listened to pdsa millie wouldn't be here now. I definitely would not recommend, also millie had a heart murmur yet they said she had a healthy heart I wouldn't trust anything they say in my opinion.

After a conversation with the manager of the pdsa thamesmead, I am extremely distressed and in shock with her reply to me trying to get fluids for my cat who is suffering from kidney failure. Although the vet previously told me to bring back my cat as soon as he wasn't well for him to get more fluids, the manager refused to see my cat and advised me to go to a private clinic instead, she said that pdsa didn't have the money to help a dying cat and was extremely rude delivering the message. I am appalled by her dismissive attitude especially since it was the vet's decision in the first place and me suffering from depression, absolutely worsen my own condition.

No person centred approach to my pet at all. She just said to let him go rather than repeat antibiotics. Pointed to his flea collar and said is that a flea collar? I said yes. She said its not working. I said does he have fleas. She combed him thru and surprise no he doesn't have fleas. They can't be arsed to help and it's more beneficial for them to put ur dog to sleep even if they have quality if life. Wtf

These people are the most unpleasant, awful people ever. 2 years ago they have put down my beautiful dog, because instead of doing some tests they have given him a pain killer, within 2 days we have had to put him down because of a food poisoning. And yesterday I have called them to put down our Hamster ( Caramel) because he is suffering from cancer. Yesterday they have asked me to pay £30, when I have called them today to go there they have asked for £57. I am eligible for full free treatment, but these people are awful people.

Vets Cardiff pdsa are a bunch of narcissists. Refused to treat my poorly cat on numerous visits. Gave me verbal abuse on numerous visits. I know now My cat was dying with heart failure. They wobbled a dying tooth which must of been painful for her and said “she is absolutely tamping” if you are sadistic and enjoy seeing animal abuse this is the veterinary for you. I’m 55 and will never have another cat. I lost my best friend. I’m heart broken. Devastated. Riddled with guilt that I didn’t take her to a private vet. I finally did take her to a private vet to have her put to sleep. I’ve had to go back on to antidepressants. Don’t don’t don’t use the PDSA! Go private please

I am so upset and frustrated. They say call, then if your animal is not dying you have to go online and fill out a call back....THEY NEVER EVER CALL YOU BACK. I mean who is actually running this service. I have tried for 2 years to get help and they never reply or reply saying they dont do that, then I have to go elsewhere. Why are these people funded and who is in charge.

I'm very suspicious to what is going on with this place! It's not just in my local area, it's all over the UK. People on benefits are being told to go to see a private vets! What is that all about! Are the pdsa and private vets in cahoots with each other? And only taking on unhealthy pets! What about new pets? Or those who sadly lost their jobs and as to register with the pdsa? Do they have to wait until their pets get sick? There are plenty of people who has lost their pets due to pdsa' s new system, that has been sneaked in back in 2020. Many of pets has died due to their incompetence! If you have been a victim to this, then speak out and protest against it!!

Please don't use this service. Just wants my grandchildrens rabbit to die in front of them in the cage in there bedroom. The receptionist should try sitting in a cage and doing that herself. She would deserve it more.

Dreadful dreadful wicked people. Took my very poorly cat for help abd they killed him through their negligence. He was only 5 years old and so full of life and love. He was my world and pdsa killed him. They have since tried to make amends. Had a call today and they said they using his death as a valuable learning experience. So my boy had to die so they could learn from it?? As if in a classroom???? And they have the nerve to ask me to still trust in them???? This place is appalling

24/08/23 - My 3 year old pug got taken in with an upset stomach which she always gets after eating new treats she isn’t used to digesting, but there was nothing wrong with her, she just needed a few days rest like always. My sister, who has never seen how she reacts to new treats, panicked and took her to PDSA/VetsNow Gateshead for help.. The incompetent vet then diagnosed her with pneumonia, which is impossible considering she was full of energy sprinting up and down stairs and jumping around playing completely fine with no issues prior to being taken to the PDSA. 25/08/23 - The PDSA/VetsNow vet murdered her. Poppy didn’t obtain pneumonia and die naturally without assistance all within 24 hours. They killed her. SHE HAD AN UPSET STOMACH. They also cremated her without my permission, probably to hide their own incompetence. Evil despicable scum that don’t care about animals at all. Cash flow and convenience is more important to them. Stay well away from these murdering liars if you want your pet to remain alive. The PDSA have also now blocked me on Facebook and instagram.

I took my cat yesterday and vet said my cat is ỉn really bad condition and we have to put him down to stop his suffering. What kind of help is this. Nơ treatment no diagnosis? I would suggest people not to keep a pet if you can’t afford them to take to a private vet. My poor little angel is gone only because i was not able to pay expenses privately. I did in the past but couldn’t anymore. On the other hands private vets are ridiculously expensive. Not good for poor animals. There is no humanity left in this world. I am so heartbroken 💔.

Swansea PDSA Pet Hospital 20 Viking Way, Winch Wen, Swansea SA1 7DA I would leave no stars if this was an option! Contacted the PDSA yesterday requesting emergency help as my poor dog had given birth to a 2 puppies, 1 of which was unfortunately dead. The person I spoke with was judgemental and completely unhelpful, she disregarded my concerns about there being more puppies and the fact that the dead puppy was covered in green mucus and membrane, I was given some rubbish advice about not being able to prove there were more puppies (unfortunately i am not psychic) I was advised that this was not a clinical emergency and what to look for clinically which would be classed as an emergency! ! Spent all night watching the dog who subsequently delivered more dead puppies without displaying any of these so called obvious clinical signs ....... a traumatic and devastating experience with horrendous consequences which possiby could have been avoided should the heartless individual on the other end of the phone have shown some compassion, care and support for the welfare of the poor animal instead of trying to incite blame and express her views on the dog being in whelp in the beginning! Im lucky to still have my dog at the end of this ordeal. Overall a cold hearted, non compassionate and clinically inept service with the wrong decisions ultimately being made over the bloody phone followed by some condecending advice!! I appreciate the pressure and demand placed on the service however If this is the service standard to expect then I pity any animals that are unfortunate enough to require any support or treatment here 😢

Hyton PDSA killed my cat to save time and money all because of an app, 3 heart attacks, and being told that even though I have seen 3 of these and a vet diagnosed and confirmed these 3 days ago we were not qualified to say that. Even though your vets told me to call straight away so they can get them in. And also the situation did not qualify as an emergency. I also have a recording of the disgusting manner in which your staff has no compassion or decency. 3 Minutes in the waiting room no one there mean while my cat having a 4th heart attack and drowning in fluid from his lungs, it took me screaming out is someone going to come and help. YOU LET MY CAT DIE IN PAIN AND A HORRIBLE VISUALLY DISTURBING DEATH! As a vet came out, I said well his dead do you want to sort him now? The block shocked and sheepishly came over checked for a heartbeat, and confirmed that I knew his dead. The fact he was not breathing was a big giveaway. I will be giving this recording to newspapers and the government and going to make sure your policies change. You say you are there to stop suffering. Only when it suits you. And your staff need training and consistency when giving out information about your services. PDSA is not what it used to be, I used to be grateful now I get worried when having to go to them. Never had a paid vet get it wrong, your guys I wonder where did they get their qualifications from? or are they made up?

NEWHALL RD PDSA killers! NEVER take your pet as it won’t come out alive NEVER take your pet as it won’t come out alive. My healthy 14 year old cat went in they butchered her then said she had diabetes, said she needed 2 injections per day! Gave her one a day then Said she wouldn’t eat! I took her home she ate but as they were only giving her one injection obviously her blood sugar would go up! We went back they took her in then said her sugar was higher and that’s caused by stress then apparently her kidneys were failing! The day before I was told her kidneys were perfect! Funny I’ve read that this is what they tell everyone so I’ve read! she was too ill and had not eating due to stress of being there and had to be put to sleep. 💔💔💔 Majority cold hearted vets all they are bothered about is MONEY kept saying pay pay pay! I’d pay more and go to a proper vet where they would care! Never go to Newhall Road PDSA Sheffield. Love your pets I regret taking my beloved princess there and buried her yesterday 💔💔💔 don’t think you will be the exception you won’t. Every second person who was in the waiting room was told to put their pets to sleep! They want a quick buck but nothing long term to care for. Sick people and they call it a F charity! Charity of DEATH !

Bournemouth branch. I have a 3 month old puppy, presenting some severe symptoms and he was given steroids without an investigation to diagnosis. I've been twice and both times I've heard were a charity we don't investigate that. Not sure if it's covid and funding has been pulled on everything. The vet looked into his ears, did a swab, But After coming out he was yelping in pain and couldnt walk, I had to carry him, he couldn't drink or eat with out screaming. I called them up and they said he's probably sensitive after looking in his ears. Well I had the same examination a a private vets and he didn't have the same reaction. He needs stomach and skin investigations but 'its a Charity' and got fobbed off. Steroids made no difference. Also no vaccines or nueturing services. So I guess that just leaves life threatening emergencies or will you will you get a 'were a charity we don't do that' or it's time to put him down? I'm frustrated that there isn't help for people who are disabled and can't work because knowing what I know now I probably wouldn't have got an animal knowing vet costs are so high. I have low cost insurance and just hope that will cover everything though it probably won't.

Took my 17 year old lhsa apso for check up because you could see his spine and ribs. Vet said after tests he had tumour on bowels and needed to be put to sleep. We wasn't convinced he had this problem, he wasnt losing weight or showing signs of bowel cancer so we got a second opinion from private Vet and she said there's nothing wrong with him, so basically the PDSA can't be bothered with older animals. We'd been using pdsa since he was a pup and this is how you get treated on older animals.
