Best insurance for pets

Claims are easy to submit and payment is fairly quick. The only thing that keeps it from being 5 star is the way they do deductibles. On a $1,000 deductible you end up paying more like $1,200 before the insurance kicks in. Still a good deal overall and everything else is great.

The only frustrating aspect with submitting a claim is ensuring that our vet's office provides us with an invoice that has our dog's name on it, a description of charges and total charges/payment as per Pets Best requirements (the vet's computer system can generate multiple types of invoices and/or multiple pages).

It saved our dog’s life quality! The best investment I ever made. It gives me peace of mind and takes away a lot of stress. Every pet owner should have insurance and Pets Best never disappoints!!!

Pets Best has been extremely professional and has expeditiously handled all of my pet's claims. I never had pet insurance before and Pets Best has convinced me that it is something provides you with a peace of mind in the event of chronic illness or accident/injury to your pet. Can't say enough good things about Pets Best.

Honestly THE BEST pet insurance company that I have ever dealt with! For the past two decades, I have had multiple pet insurance companies for my previous fur babies (both dogs and cats) and nothing comes close to Pets Best! Processing claims are so easy and the Pets Best team is so efficient with the reimbursements. My current pup, unfortunately, had many mishaps/accidents and every single claim was processed and accepted with such ease. Never had an insurance company that is so easy to deal with! I couldn't recommend Pets Best enough to friends and family! Thank you for being there for my loves when in need! Woof woof!

My last visit to the vet on 03/21/24 cost approximately $100.00, of which insurance reimbursed me approximately $20.00. It seems I'm paying far more in monthly premiums, then I am being reimbursed for vet bills ? It seems more cost effective to just pay the bills, & for go the insurance coverage. I understand in the event of a catastrophic event the services of the vet would be rather costly. But the chances of such a event is extremely remote. The insurance reimbursement for routine vet bills is far less then the monthly insurance premiums .

Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy would pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. Unfortunately, your pet may use up the benefits quickly depending on what your veterinarian charges for their services. Customer Service is very easy to reach. The app doesn’t actually work, however the claims process on the website is easy and straightforward. My biggest issue is that reimbursement takes FOREVER- they say it can take up to 42 days and I’m convinced they use the entire time just to hold onto the money as long as they can. My pet has chronic issues, and her routine meds for those used to be reimbursed rather quickly, but no longer. Makes it difficult to manage credit card bills.
