I ordered linen pants according to the measurements they gave on their website. Size 12. I'm 5'9" tall and usually wear a 10 or 12 US depending on the manufacturer, They were HUGE and I measured the waist and it was 2" more than the website says! Order down at least 1 or 2 sizes. They need to definitely change what their measurements say. Now I have to pay $6.00 to send them back and I ordered 2 other sizes this time and will again have to pay $6.00 to return one of them.

Just ordered a denim jacket that I really liked. Ordered my regular size 12 and it must have been a size 18! I called customer service and was told I should return item and needed a size 8. I couldn’t exchange the item, only return it for a $6 return charge. I’d already paid $15 for postage and just noticed on my cc bill that there was a $7 international charge. I called yesterday to order the smaller size and was told it was back ordered until August. So I’m out $28 and no jacket. Very disappointing.

I'm bewildered. Ordered two sweaters and two shirts in U.S. size 12, and they're so huge I could get lost in them. I'm guessing they're probably 16's, but I really don't know! I'm wondering if it's worth trying to exchange all four items for size 8's and pay the shipping cost, and then find out those aren't the right size either.

DO order from Poetry! I’ve ordered three times. Two packages came very quickly, in about four days; one came later, as it was in back order. I love the clothing. It’s beautiful, and nicely designed and made. I had one sweater that didn’t fit well and they refunded my credit card promptly after I sent it back. I understand there where issues with delivery some months ago, but it looks like they have have fixed the problem! Don’t be afraid to order online. Check the size measurements for every item you order; the measurements vary. You will enjoy your new clothing!

I have been dealing with Poetry Fashion for a couple of months now, and have purchased 6 tops (mostly in linen). You really have to read the “Finer Points”, AND the product reviews, and/or the measurements. My only complaint is their inconsistent sizing issue. Some pieces run very large, and then others run really small. Not sure why this is, but as long as you read the measurements, you should be ok. I have had no issues with quality - everything I’ve ordered has been beautifully made. I have also not had any issues with shipping - delivery has always been fast to the US. And free returns are fast as well. Customer service has been fantastic! Once when I was on the phone i got disconnected and the agent called me back. Now that’s service.

I've just received my first order from Poetry. I had an initial problem with the order going through. My CC company saw them as a new (and suspicious) vendor and rejected the charge. I cleared that up with my CC then contacted Poetry through their Customer Care email address. I received responses all along the way to the work needed on their end to achieve a successful completion of the order. It took about 48 hours. My shipment arrived within about 5 days of placing the order which was amazing given that it takes some big US companies 2 weeks or more to get an order to me. The clothes are not inexpensive but what I received is beautiful and fits well. I would compare them to Eileen Fisher and I think they are better in price, quality and style. I'm really pleased and will be back online today to order a few more things from them for spring and summer.

An order never arrived; it was returned (unbeknownst to me); I was credited for my original purchase, but told that I would have to order the items again AND pay the shipping again! The customer "service" agent said that he "cannot refund the $15 shipping fee as this was attempted for delivery." (In other words, I was charged for a service that *I did not receive--delivery of the package.) I find it difficult to believe that a company that generates revenue of hundred of thousands (millions?) of pounds a year, cant be more understanding and supportive of its customers.

Ridiculously misrepresented clothing. I ordered a boxy fit size small top. Size small came ... 56 inches wide and an inch shorter than advertised (only 22.5 inches from nape to hem. My husband wears a men's large. Wrap a piece of material around a size large man's chest and it will not be boxy, it will be drapery. But as a size small for a woman? Seriously? Back it goes and never will we order from Poetry again. Oh, and, the pictures of the ultra skinny models in the catalog wearing this item? Now that I have the item in hand, I can see that only half the embroidery on the front of the garment is in the picture. They would have had to pin a full half of the garment behind each model.

They sell literally the finest clothes - made from the loveliest fabrics with timeless design. Several exchanges or returns I've made were handled without question, and sometimes waving shipping costs. They are wonderful! My idea of quality - and you do get what you pay for - so, most highly recommended.

Do not buy from Poetry. They discriminate against plus size women. If the quality and size options matched their catalog, they would have a great clothing line.

I really don't understand all the bad reviews. I have a jillion linen or hemp tees from them and NEVER have ANY problems ordering. I don't get it. As someone else said, though, read all the details carefully so you'll understand exactly what you're getting.

I can not stress this enough. THERE ARE TWO COMPANIES WITH THE SAME NAME!!! There is POETRY aka POETRY FASHION which is affiliated with WRAP LONDON. This company sells elegant understated garments with timeless natural fibers and elegance, mostly in neutral solid color palettes. Here you’ll find the hemp/cotton jersey that some reviewers are referring to. The other Poetry company makes clothing that looks like it’s made for trendy teenagers to be tossed after one season with lots of patterns and synthetic materials. Contact the company (poetryfashion), check out their website, or order a catalogue. Do NOT depend on eBay, Poshmark, or Google to disambiguate the two. It’s so confusing!!!

I do not recognise some of these reviews at all. I love their cashmere. The cashmere long cardigans are luxurious and look great year after year. I have their hemp and organic cotton long skirts. Absolutely beautiful quality, cool and comfortable. I also have some of their linen and viscose shawl collar shirts. All beautiful clothes that I reach for in my wardrobe over and over.

The clothes are well made. They’re basic and yet fashion forward. For me the best thing is I put them away for the Winter and when I take them out to wear in the Spring they still look good and I’m happy to wear them. Unlike cotton tee shirts which don’t hold up at all.

No Email address quoted in catalogue. No answer to the telephone, nor in either Store this afternoon. - Impossible to contact. How do they do business. Disastrous other than the holding piano music.

Do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! THEY CHEAT YOU OUT OF EVERY DIME YOU SPEND! They wanted to charge me 10% of my total to try and cancel my order...so I went ahead and let them fill it. TWO MONTHS LATER, I received two of 3 items ordered, only to have neither come even close to fitting. When I asked how to return the items for a refund, I was told I had to pay the shipping charges to CHINA and when they received the items, they would refund my money!! THEN, when I checked on what those charges would be, the address they gave me isn’t even recognized by the Post Office and I was told a package with that address couldn’t be accepted. This is a rip off company of the first magnitude! I have been cheated.

Horrified that trousers I have just bought have been made in China. I am amazed you can still risk the good name of your company. I for one will be checking all sourcing before buying in future.

They are impossible to speak to, on the phone so, I sent 2 emails and all they said was it might take a little longer to reply. 2 months! They still have not responded even though I paid for a taxi to take my returns parcel, paid £8 for next day delivery, totaling £22 to return at item and still they have not even told me if they have received it and I cannot reach them. Rubbish customer service.

In spite of all the bad reviews, on June 2 I placed my first order with Poetry Fashion which was the hemp/cotton jersey tunic in charcoal and it was delivered on June 9--I consider that fast shipping. I am 5'7" 150 lbs and ordered a size 14 or Large. The fit is perfect. Fits nicely at the shoulders and bust with enough ease for my hips. The cut of the neckline is perfect, too, not too snug, not too loose. And the design details take it out of the just-another-knit shirt category. This is a favorite. My only disappointment with Poetry Fashion is that the website offered me a discount if I keyed in the catalog code. I was denied the discount because the code had expired even though this was the most recent catalog I had received from them.

I love a lot of their clothes. Yes, you have to be discerning when reading the descriptions, but if you are the clothes are worth every penny. Some styles are very short and boxy or flimsy but if you look at the photos and read the “finer points” that accompanies each item in the catalog you get a pretty good idea. I own 30 items mostly linen or hemp shirts and thick cotton sweaters and love every piece. They were challenged over the holidays with shipping and they have changed that to FedEx only as the USPS and customs was awful. With FedEx I have not had any problems.
