“I had Daniel Lee as my teacher and I can honestly say he was one of my favorite teachers i have ever had even though it was virtual. He made sure to help us understand what we got wrong on our homework and practice tests. He was funny, someone I could actually relate to, and once i found out he loves fishing he felt like a friend. What I personally feel like wasn't helpful is the workload, it is a ton of work expected of you to do as well as balancing it out with other things. I personally think a 1 on 1 with a tutor would be more beneficial because you could go over each question individually and understand rather than just being thrown homework and trying to solve all on your own if that makes sense. This course did help me improve on my practice test scores and gave me tactics to help me improve my scores and make the test easier. I think a good improvement would be to shorten the workload probably because it is too much to do in a short amount of time. All in all it was helpful to me but such a burden to get all the work done on time for the refund so i would be hesitant to recommend this to someone.”

“Prep Expert was a lot of work and I hope it pays off, but so far it hasn’t helped much. My instructor Olivia Owens was amazing, but there were a lot of unnecessary things that we did over the course. I would not recommend this during the school year because it takes a lot of time and effort.”

“Prep Expert was a lot of work and I hope it pays off, but so far it hasn't really done much. You should not do this course during the school year, if you are an involved student. I will say that my instructor Olivia Owens was amazing! Would recommend if you are willing to put in the work.”

“Olivia Owens was a great teacher she explained everything thoroughly and helped greatly! But I'm not sure if this way of preparing for the ACT is right for everyone. If I could go back , I might choose a different method of preparing for the test.”

“The classes were really informative, and my teacher, Olivia, was very knowledgeable and a big help. However, it was difficult to keep up with the homework when the classes were back to back. Overall, it was a good experience.”

“Daniel Lee was a great instructor and really worked hard to get the class involved and engaged. However, the homework load was too much and the course was way too long. For the last two weeks of the last in class course all we did was review and it felt like a waste of time. My family and I were relying on a different instructor, but I was not let down by Daniel.”

“Clay was a great instructor he made what was supposed to be a boring, grindy course into one that was both interesting and worthwhile while i did not get 200 points yet, i'm pretty close so I'm happy about that i do not recommend taking this during aps though my only complaint is that in the last 2 classes, we had a sub hwo was really monotone even though he seemed nice, there were times where we'd go off topic for a long time and it felt almost unbearable at times”

“My teacher, Ben Smith, was very informational and helpful, however, the course itself in regard to homework and practice tests is quite pesky and confusing. The constant homework and deadlines are an added stressor on daily life, even though, they are helping me prepare for the ACT. Overall, the teaching and communication in the class were amazing, but the course load was substantial..”

“my instructor was Ben Smith. He was a great guy and teacher. I really liked him and what he taught us, but I just don't like the prep expert format, because it's online. I learn better if I have someone face-to-face to talk to and ask questions too. Other than, it's good, but expect a lot of homework, on top of your regular schoolwork.”

“yeah it was helpful but sometimes daniel is rude and can not call us dumb and say we are not studying. some people try their best and still need more help so when you say that it made me feel somewhat bad and afraid to ask questions. score did not improve much only 90 points and i am no where near my goal so still disappointing”

“My instructor was Clay Cooper, he made the class fun and provided us with many tips and extra help. I felt like we did get side tracked a lot and did not go over things that I needed personally, my score didn't increase that much either... yet there was a lot of work for this course. However, I did learn how to improve on some things, and felt motivated!”

“This course could be very beneficial to someone who is looking to get a higher score on the SAT, HOWEVER, it is an unrealistic course. To expect a teenager to pay attention attention for three hours, twice a week, and complete an absurd amount of homework while they are also dealing with school work is crazy. You may think you are up to the task but it is much more work than one can fathom. Sign up at your own risk!”

“Clay was my instructor. He kept me engaged during all live class sessions which helped me to stay focused and learn the information to the best of my abilities. The class did get repetitive at points, but was overall very productive and worth while.”

“My instructor, Daniel Lee, has helped me improve my SAT score throughout this course. Working with Daniel was fun because he provides an engaging "classroom" environment even though the class is made up of students from various parts of the country. While working with the instructor was good, I didn't really see a significant boost in my score even though I did all the work on time, took notes, and stayed engaged in class. Personally, I would have liked it more had it been more tailored to my specific issues as opposed to a general course in general. Overall a fun course, but I saw no boost (and even sometimes dips) in my score despite 6 weeks of full effort which proved to be kind of a disappointment.”

“requires a ton of printing because you need to print every homework and practice test- not very eco friendly. also requires about 2 hours every day, which is tough for the typical high school student who does sports and after school activities on top of being in AP classes. Not very easy to fit 2 hours in each day. but overall, a very good class.”

Our mission is to help everyone increase their scores and part of that is to give students a taste of what they will experience on the big day! Hopefully in the near future we can roll out a more eco-friendly dashboard and practice test taking system. The course can be intense but that's what makes it so effective! We have several options that can fit in a busy student's life, such as a Self-Paced video course taught by our founder Shaan Patel or tutoring packages. “UPDATE: While my daughter did complete the work and did not improve her SAT test scores and the initial support I received was less than stellar; Prep Expert did reach back out to me and took some steps to offer an olive branch of sorts in order to give my daughter another avenue to possibly improve her next SAT test score. I have modified my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Original Review: My daughter took the 6 week SAT Prep course and actually did worse on her SAT after the course than she did before. When asked how much time outside of the actual live classes this would involve we were told 1 hour or a little more. In order to complete the required work on-time she spent hours and hours between each class. She spent so much time on this course that it ended up affecting her actual school grades. About half of the course time was spent on the essay. After we jumped through all of the hoops to get the refund based on the 200 point guarantee, they initially said 12 assignments were late or not turned in. A couple of days were spent emailing support proving to them this was not the case, they found she was a couple of hours late for 2 assignments and 2 others were a day late. I am sure these 4 late minimally assignments drastically affected my daughters SAT score (sarcasm). Seems like Prep Expert's approach to NOT giving the 200 point guarantee refund is to overwhelm parents with so many false failures on their child's part that parents give up and let it go.”

“The material really is good, and the strategies do help A LOT. Why 3 stars then? Well, there are 2 reasons. Number 1, the essay grading system was broken. In a regular ACT you are scored on 4 different categories, but for some reason my peers and I all had the issue of getting only 3 categories graded. My instructor informed us that she had reported the issue, but I can't say that its fixed. Second, the work load. Prepare to be overwhelmed with tests to take. They do give us a week to do the homework, but if your a really busy Junior like me, then you will find it absolutely insane. Otherwise, if you can look beyond these 2 complaints, then I fully recommend the program. The strategies are good, they work, and they are informative.”
