Staff are extremely rude despite being polite to them. I got hung up on twice. Driver called one single ring then also hung up. I thought paying for the biggest package would help but I was wrong. I explained what was wrong with my car and that it would need towed or put on a trailer but they wasted their own time sending a driver out to fix my car even though there’s a hole in the engine. I am now waiting longer for a trailer due to this. About 6 hours in total to recover my car 10 miles. If you see this review, please don’t sign up for this service. They’re slightly better than useless.

My mobility car had a puncture today and I called the RAC. Within 10 mins they were with me. The driver (Michael) I think was fantastic. Very polite and helpful. Had to put a universal tyre on my car and escorted me to Kwik Fit. Well done for the service and politeness of the driver.

Your service is a joke, firstly you send a guy who charges me money to add brake fluid which made no difference to the issue, but as he never tried to move the car he didnt know if he had fixed it or not I then called for someone to come again, and it was getting later and later so I called again and said come in the morning - which someone eventually did past 10am - he was also trying to say it was ok until I insisted he meoved the car to see the issue - he then agreed it was undrivable and took it to the garage to get mended I called the next morning to get onward travel as I pay for and was told that I was too late is has to be done within 24 hours of the original call - which would have been impossible because it took longer than that to get someone to agree the car had an issue - I argued this and was told after some time I could have a car On hearing from Enterprise they have no cars avaliable today - which is not true as I could book a car with them direct from the same location online with no issue - when I called and spoke to onward travel - after another long wait - am told tough luck if there is no car avliable I just have to wait until there is one Why am I paying you - probably if i hadnt driven the car after you first engineer said it was ok then the problem would have been less bad, plus I have to argue to get any service and then Im left high and dry with no car JUST A JOKE

After being a member of over 30 yes I was appalled at the way my breakdown was dealt with. Being with the caravan club was supposed to give piece of mind but it totally the opposite. Brokedown on 1 motorway, engineer given different motorway. Calls made but no sign of recovery. After 12 hr wait recovery appeared, & taken to camping venue. Return trip worse that original. Call at 4.30pm recovery appeared 1pm the following day. Again lots of calls I was offered a taxi but I had animals with me so not an option. Recovery finally arrived, wasn't told about the caravan. I waited patiently for the renewal only to find out that membership was cancelled without any discussion. Had I needed help between the bad recovery & the renewal date I would have been left high & dry. Then to add insult after contacting them a got a letter with a cheque for £50 as compensation for the way things were dealt with, no apology just "complaint didn't meet their criteria" no mention of cancelled membership. Not recommending RAC anymore. Shame on you leaving a woman alone for hours waiting for recovery. No pride in your work ethic of prioritizing lone women

Seriously these guys are amazing. My experience was at night and the rain was awful (Typical). I called the RAC as i was insured under my car insurance policy. I had to wait a couple of hours as it was really busy but i was near home so i waited at home. The communication was good and when they arrived (two of them as the other ones call was close and he offered to help, he even used his lunch time). Well the car was not able to be fixed roadside and had to be towed to a Garage the following day. Hand on heart these Guys are super hero's, utmost respect to them your amazing. Thank You so much and I am sorry I didn't get your names.

zero if i could Did not send renewal letter, changed their polilcy to my vehicle and charged me without warning. My preference was by post. They send to spam folder. On the day of renewal i called and they said i have to pay £25 cancelation fee with in 14 days cooling period. What a rip off company. I asked to speak to manager- i was told one is not available. Absoluteley disapointed after being with them for 8 years and not even used the service much. I asked for manager- non available

I was misled and pressured into buying an expensive Premium battery from RAC and was promised that I would be covered under warranty whatever happens and not shown any T&Cs at the time. The battery failed after a few months and RAC are trying to claim that the car caused the battery to fail despite the most recent engineer saying that there are no problems or drains on the car. I have raised my case with RAC and have been corresponding with Emily G who is now not responding to emails. I have offered RAC evidence that the battery failure was not down to the car and also that I was not shown any T&Cs prior to purchasing the premium battery from RAC. I have both been misled and pressured into purchasing something we did not want or need from RAC. We have now have asked RAC for a deadlock letter and to cancel the memberships for all our vehicles which so far they are refusing to do, which is unlawful. I will continue to keep people updated regarding my experience.

I called the rac breakdown yesterday but after 12 text messages stating different arrival times ETA nobody turned up I reported the breakdown at 1530 and whilst waiting until 11 pm still no rac breakdown so I phoned a private company and paid them to recover me rac useless no service at all

Called the RAC following the receipt of an email notifying me that it was time for breakdown renewal, unfortunately i did not have my membership number so they could not find my details even though i gave them my current address and my address when i took out the policy in 2019, The first person (Rishak)was very unhelpful and after 20 mins just hung up , i called back and spoke with (Dominque) who again was not very helpful saying could not find me details, i asked to be put through to the complaints and she gave me a number to call, i called the number only to find its was the same department, eventually got through to a person called (Fatima) who i asked again to be put through to someone to talk to about the issued i had face for over an hours only to be told that managers/supervisors are not customer facing so would not come to the phone, how un professional of the RAC I am 66 year old pensioner with learning difficulties, now just want to cancel but do not know how to??

Yesterday (15th April 2024) I spoke with Sally Morgan in Manchester, regarding my breakdown policy cancellation due to Barclays withdrawal from the RAC cover package with them. Sally was willing to listen to my concern and understood my reason for requesting a cancellation. She was polite and courteous in her demeanour throughout our conversation and she has cancelled my policy. I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone in need of her help.

Totally scam fraud they refuse breakdown cover so I didn’t find out today so my policy he updated without permission me now they’re asking me cancellation fee you need to pay. I didn’t update policy. Why I can pay the money very bad customer service. Don’t trust who giving five star they’re all fake

Poor customer service. I had the top package included help and customer service did not receive none of that my car was at the workshop for repairs.I called the RAC. And asked for onwards, travel I was told to provide proof that my car was in the garage it was Saturday afternoon and they was closed so I could not get in contact with the owner I was told that RAC onwards travel will call me back. I did not receive any call today is now Monday and I am still without a vehicle. And no phone call from the RAC. So what I have decided to do is call them up and cancel my membership. As I did not receive the service, what I required and what I was paying 35 pounds a month for what 420 pounds a year looks like I will be joining the AA. For half the price

i had mark and he was amazing. had to take my car on tow for about 2 hours, he was very nice. he let me speak unlike other recovery services i’ve used in the past. made the stressful situation much better

Had a relative stuck for 5 hours.. they said the travelling time to get to my relative was 1 hour drive. My relative is poorly & has insulin controlled diabetes, I called twice to stress a matter of medication needed & got told to wait longer, praying that he gets home safe tonight with no more health conditions, I'm appalled at this service. I struggled to give 1 star..

My wife had a breakdown and was threatened by males at the location. I spoke to the emergency number several times, and all they said was.. "I will call dispatch". 4 hours later the recovery team arrived.. absolutely useless!!

Awful experience, call centre staff are rude. They cut me off and they left me on hold for over 40mins twice. Been a member for close to 20 years and paying over £31 a month and for what? When trying to close account all they are interested in is offering you a discount to keep the service. From start to finish I feel disgusted. After back and forwards for 2 hours with them I rang a local recovery who picked me up in 15 minutes and couldn't have been more helpful. They are not worth the monthly payments.

called the RAC coz my car wont start somthing wrong I paid £160 the rac came the mechanic checked and the good news my car start but wont able to used omg and he told me i need to call or bring to garage what a joke for £160 no 20 mins stay end of story my car was not done used less

15 hour wait in a car park in the middle of the night, miles from home. Promised arrival times up and down and call centre no help whatsoever. In the end had to pay nearly £200 for a battery too, so that was a bargain on top of the fees I pay. Been a member for 22 years. Will not be 23. All the road guys are superb, though.
