Seems to work as it should which is just what I need. Telephone contact good and quick . Not too long lis tending to music!!

Nothing special about RIAS. Bought the insurance online and they used the usual tactic of showing the basic insurance vey cheaply but then once the, to me, extras were added on the price was racked up. I can see why insurance companies do this, so that you only buy what you want, but why not list everything on the front page. Wouldn't go out of my wat to separate this lot from the rest.

I am very disappointed in the large increase in this years car insurance. I have been a loyal customer for many years. I have full no claims. I have never made a claim. As I discussed with you my yearly mileage is very low. Less than 2000 miles for each of the last two years. Yours disappointed. Peter Doughty. Certificate no 25696H/P428021E.

Sad that I had to complain that my premium had increased, and given vague answer that it was due to "realignment" with other insurance companies. I renewed my car insurance as a discount was obtained and it is a reliable company. I would like to think that long term customers would be given preference.

I have been with RIAS for many years so was very disapointed to have my preium raised by over 100£ when iquired it to be told tax had gone upand cercumstances had changed?I managed to get 50£ offbut was still 70£ more than last year.Ifelt thatinstead of being on the side of the over 50they are taking advantage.As my next ins. become due I shall certainly be looking to other companies.

I was very disappointed last year when attempting to renew my house insurance policy. My renewal fell due while my wife and I were away on a long holiday in Australia. I always pay the full amount each year. When I rang to renew a couple of months before we went away I was told that it was too early to renew and that the only way to guarantee renewal was to pay by Direct Debit, which meant of course I had to pay the full quoted renewal price. I have been a loyal customer of RIAS for a few years now and was concerned that there was a lack of sympathy for my situation. I shall be looking at other firms when it comes to renewal.

Cut off on 1st phone call and the man had not recorded any details to that point. The 2nd call was sucessful. The man said when I picked up my new car the showroom could just phone and get insurance details sent by fax or email to them so they would release the car. When the showroom rang up they were told there was no facility to send the details to the showroom.! After trying through the showroom to get temp insurance so I could drive the car away for over an hour I suggested ringing you again and got a most helpful lady who said no problem to send the info by fax and it was through in 10 minutes. I had to cancel a medical appt in Glasgow . Even though I had allowed 2 hrs for picking up the car before I would need to leave for this appt. your staff should all give the same information and some should try to be more helpful.

Good price but need more information about what happens next , Do you send the policy by post , do I need to send proof of no claims ?

YOur website gave some wrong information and it was essential to talk to a human being who were quite helpful and sorted it. The email about my MOTOR Insurance then came from HOME Insurance so clearly there are (hopefully now were!) issues with connectivity on the website and email

Tried to add to the policy. After a lot of hassle trying to get through I was told by one person the increase would be £20 only to find customer service told me it would be more. I got cut off. Not happy. Tried again to cancel policy, couldn't get through to customer service so a nice lady on another line did it for me. You did get back to me asap and cancelled the policy with some story about the £20 offer was from the day before.

I found your operator a little pushy, perhaps because he was not aware that at over 80 years old I am not as nimble minded as I once was. Iwas also told that after I had agreed to accept the insurance he said he was transferring me to a further information message. After a long wait nothing happened so I rang off. He also made no mention that arrangement would be by e-mail which I do not want. I e-mailed you and this has now been sorted out and I am awaiting the paper work which will take several days to arrive not leaving me much time to change my mind should I wish to.

Too early to form an opinion. I did ask for the policy to be mailed to me but to date it has not arrived !

Very quick to answer the phone regarding queries. I was told when paying for the policy that I would not need to supply evidence of my NCB however I received a mail 2 days later asking for my NCB from my previous insurer. When these were supplied they were not acceptable (schedule sent). I had to contact my previous insurer for confirmation of my NCB - Still waiting to hear if this has been received.

Easy enough to buy your insurance on line although I had difficulty in a in activating my online account. However when I telephoned the helpline I had a very helpful young lady called Megan who talked me through the account activation.

Renewal of House insurance arrived on 9th January and I was very disappointed to see the amount quoted. Having been with you for some years and have car insurances with you the amount quoted on the renewal was not acceptable. I checked the websites of your competitors and found all were very much cheaper. I also did a quote on your own website and the amount came £183 cheaper than that quoted on the renewal. I had a call from your representative because I had been on your website. Very pleasant and professional and after some time she was able to give me the quote on the property which matched the quote I had online. She was however unable to answer my question as to why I was quoted the huge amount on the renewal. I have accepted the revised amount and am awaiting documents, but I will be vigilant next year and hope that we do not have the same situation again.

RIAS agents quickly resolved my on line questions and on that basis I proceeded motor insurance. I asked that the policy documents be delivered by post however on 11 11 jan I had to phone to confirm that I was Covered and That I awaited the documents. I was advised that I had elected to download thse documents ( I maintain this was not So!!!) Until this time I had been given no advice on how to "manage my account " and download my documents. I advised RIAS agent tah I would try to download but as an insurance could the documents also be posted to me I await thse documents but I have also managed to download. RIAS claims to be insurers for the over 50's we are not the most computer literate generation and RIAS agentys should be aware that vwe may need clear and specific instructions for online dealings

Motor insurance. On the application form I was asked to state my 'no claims discount' and following this a note from yourselves said my policy was subject to proof of this claim. I have owned a car for some 21 years in my married name of Nora Dakin without having a claim. I contacted my previous insurer to ask for this proof. These companies having lost the business are not inclined to make any prority in answering me. When they evenually did, they stated only 3 years n.c.bonus I contacted the insurer before them to ask for this information. They are not going to reply for such an old customer. Because insuring companies are not rewarding customers for loyalty nearly everyone I know is checking 'comparison sites I suggest this system for proving n.c.claims is antiquated and just creates concerns for the customer. Your company is no exception

the practice of giving a higher renewal price than one that can be got on line means that you are loosing customers. that is the reason i went to another company
