Took out car insurance, I paid for it in full with full no claims bonus , I sent my proof of no claims through the portal as requested , on the day that my insurance started they cancelled it saying they'd not received my proof of no claims even though the portal said they had at my end . This left me with no insurance and they would only refund a percentage of what I paid them, they said they'd taken a setting up fee , but they didn't set it up, I spent over half an hour on the phone but they would do anything about it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they will just scam you, take your money and leave you with no insurance.

I have been trying to contact Rias about amending something on my travel insurance, which they won't do over email. I have been on hold for over 45 mins on the phone and on the online chat with no response for 30 mins-what sort of customer service is this? It does not fill me with any confidence if I need to make a claim.

Great first year on purchasing home insurance but they put the price up 60% for the second year and I was on auto renewable. Cancelled on their auto telephone system and two days later they emailed to say they were having trouble to take my payment, for an insurance that had been cancelled, as my card had expired. Called them again to say please do not try and take money from me for a service that had been cancelled. The customer service person was very very curt and said it must be a mistake.

had a bill for £50 at 91 when gave up car and cancelled insurance, and wrote review that I was disgusted with Rias. Glad to report I had a phone fron RIAS they are refunding my £50. At least they listen, Thank you RIAS. A, R. Conway

Blatant attempt to rip off an elderly and vulnerable customer by hiking the cost of their insurance on the basis they would find it easier to renew. Should be ashamed of themselves.

If you want an insurance company that just doesn’t answer its calls, takes weeks to sort a simple claim, an insurance company that gives non existent customer services and just doesn’t care. Then choose Rias!!

I have been trying to contact Rais for nearly an hour to check if a leak in our roof is covered by our policy. Well at least I know who not to use when our insurance come up for re-newal. Shame on you Rias, what would happen to an old lady with a serious problem ?

Over an hour wait on customer service. Asked to cancel within 14 day cool off and was charged. Then had an email saying policy cancelled and I OWED that sum! Have had no confirmation that they are sorting. Avoid!

Expensive, nearly three times as expensive as other providers. Don't pay out on claims, find any reason to not cover claims. Awful customer service attitude. I cancelled my policy, they refused to refund any payments, instead are asking for cancelation fees Avoid them if you're looking for monthly payment. Cost an extra $80 because of monthly payment, and extra 20 because of auto renewal!! Go figure...

Longtime with them(10 yrs plus) now recent offer increase of £90 and withdrew previlige of driving other cars..

Absolute rip off i cancelled my policy they didn't refund me any money and are asking for cancelation fees Avoid them if you're looking for monthly payment go somewhere else!

Good price and cover. Home insurance. Had to phone back after purchasing to amend an item on policy. Had to wait a little while to answer call but had it dealt with by a very helpful and charming lady, a credit to the company.

My motor insurance direct debit payments with RIAS were £27 a month. After (exactly) 2 months, I sold my car & wanted to cancel my insurance. After queueing on the phone for 28 minutes I spoke to a lady who told me that the cancellation charge would be £50. I realised that they would charge an admin fee so I thought this was acceptable. I then received a letter saying that I owed them £122! I tried twice to contact them by phone but, after waiting in excess of 30 minutes each time, I hung up & decided to email them. Several emails were exchanged with their customer service team. It took 4 days on average to receive a reply by email. Each message gave a phone number & stated that it was best to contact them by telephone (I think not!!). I asked them to explain how on earth they calculated that I owe them £122 but their replies did not really shed any light on how they calculated this charge. They merely repeated the same things each time. While all this was going on, they even passed this on to a debt collection agency to deal with!!! I hadn't even said that I wasn't paying, I just wanted to know how they came to this figure. You get what you pay for! If you want cheap insurance & don't make a claim or need help from customer service, then I guess that's OK. But if you ever need any assistance, then God help you. I certainly won't EVER use them again, and I recommend people take note of all of the terrible reviews on the Internet for this company.

Bullying an eighty two year old man into submission disgusts me on every level! I have waited on the phone for one hour and fifteen minutes and when I got through I was cut off. I am back in the queue so have decided to explain my issue with this company. My eighty two year old father had storm damage to the roof of his house over three weeks ago. The winds were recorded at over sixty miles per hour at the time. He called Rias insurance who he has a policy with and after one hour and fifteen minutes he got through. He explained the event and the recorded winds were checked by the company and they accepted that he was insured for the damage. They said they would appoint a roofer to repair the damage.(C.R.Morris LTD) A week later a a man turned up with a camera and said he was there to assess the damage and he came from an independent company. He told my father that the roof had been repaired before and took full advantage of my fathers age related vulnerability and then left. My father had not heard from them so after two weeks he called Rias and was told they would not be carrying out the repairs, he asked why and they said the assessor had rejected the claim. I have a legal representative onboard as water is likely to be entering the property by now, and they are in breach of their contract! Bullying an eighty two year old man into submission disgusts me on every level! Other houses in the road had similar damage but they have been repaired! ..I am still waiting in the queue to make my formal complaint before proceedings.

Worse insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with Five weeks after storm Eunice still no insurance assessment, assessor didn’t bother to turn up waited in all day for nothing. Non existent customer service do not answer phones, do not sort out Insurance claims. Take your premium and run!!!!
