Due to funding and the climate we live under, this and the last government's funding is non existent, making the job of the RSPCA incredibly difficult and the amount of animals being abandoned due to us living in incredibly difficult times, not our fault but very sad and choices have to be made however difficult and it is. The new advert is amazing and hope that it pulls at heart strings to make people think before making unfortunate choices. Well done RSPCA.

I'd like to say that I was extremely happy with Dr Susan Herford for her knowledge and extreme professional attitude with my dogs as most dog people know they are our babies and you feel sick when they are unwell well I took both my dogs for their heart worm injections and my big boy had a problem with his eyes witch I had already seem a local vet about and noth $120 later still not right after going to the RSPCA and talking to Dr Susan my big boy was well the very next day from her course of treatment I'd like to say thank you Dr Susan and would highly recommend her and the RSPCA. Thanx.Chris Thapa.

Rescued feral cat / farm cat with injured back leg, not weight bearing. On new year's Day rang RSPCA and they collected cat within the hour . Treated at their hospital in Manchester and returned same day. Superb service can't fault. Five stars

Log: 951178 Hi, I just wanted to thank John Brooks from RSPCA today because I am genuinely so pleased at how caring he is towards animals. My household indoor cat got stuck on the second floor high roof. It climbed from my attic window all the way four houses straight. I could not have asked anybody else to resolve the sticky situation we were in, as fast and effectively as John did. He asked the right questions and analysed the back and front of the roof to find all the possibilities on how to get the cat down safely. He asked the fire brigade to come as it was an emergency and my cat was starved and stuck between two edges of the roof. John showed kindness and sympathy for my cat which was very heart warming to see. John also showed amazing problem solving skills as he communicated well with the fire brigade to make it easier for them to lure the cat back safely. My cat was running away from the ladder as it was very frightened however the fire brigade finally got him with a net and John helped them bring the cat down from the ladder very gently so the cat does not get hurt in any way, from the net. He was careful enough to put the cat in the cage but when he saw the cat became agitated and scared he took the cat in his arms and safely put him in our home. I am very relieved and happy with John’s performance today morning. Our cat has already become playful as he normally is now that he knows he is safe. Our street cat who gets scared easily of strangers also came to John which just shows what a natural animal lover John is. I want to thank John for his fantastic hard work and will forever be grateful to John and a special thanks to the Fire Brigade team and RSPCA Team for all bringing my household cat safely home. Sincerely Asma

I needed some advice from my RSPCA which I did feel at the time they could have helped me , they did help me by leading me down the right road , and hopefully I will get some outcome , the RSPCA work so hard because at the end of the day we all make mistakes because we are only human , but we would be lost without these rescue places it’s nice to know that there is somewhere to go when you need help , and they must see some horrendous things , I couldn’t do it , and I love all animals , My Sheffield branch is so helpful,. Respectful, and so friendly,.

I am now very disappointed by the attitude of RSPCA staff responsible for adoptions, it’s as if they have their own agenda. I recently enquired about adopting 2 different female kelpies, aged 2yrs, that had been rescued from a puppy farm, and it is wonderful that the RSPCA does this…. I fully understand that these dogs have been traumatised and need special care so that they can learn to trust and bond with a human companion. I described my experience over nearly 30 years with my 4 rescued Kelpies. I described my large, peaceful and securely fenced backyard and that I would always give priority to this young dog’s needs as it bonded with me and my older Kelpie. But as soon as I mentioned I had a campervan and that down the track this young dog would join me, as my other girls had done, on trips to central coast to visit my elderly mum, they decided I would not be suitable to adopt either of these dogs. They insisted the dogs must go to a rural property because what I had proposed would be too traumatic, but leaving them in a caged enclosure at RSPCA Burwood, with multiple people engaging with these frightened dogs was OK! When I asked if I could meet the young Kelpie they said it would be too traumatic for them, I also asked if they would contact me once they felt the dog was ready to be adopted but no this was not an option. I can only hope these dogs are paired with a caring human companion, and have a wholesome, healthy and fulfilling long life.

I was subscribing ten pounds each month to RSPCA for a long time. I phoned to tell them that a pony was tied up to a tree off a main road. It had strong chains around its legs so couldn't move. An empty bin which should have contained food and water but didn't was too far away. I gave it a piece of apple which kept dropping to the floor probably due to poor teeth. I told all this to the administrative girl who was only interested in asking me to subscribe to their charity. She then said "we can't do anything unless the pony is being neglected. I said having heavy chains wrapped around its legs, no access to food or water sounded neglectful to me. I certainly didn't get the response that you see on their TV programme. I cancelled my.monthly subscription and subscribed to a more deserving charity. They have their disinterested admin girl to thank for this.

There was a dog left in a car with the windows partly down and the temperature was 70. I phoned and was told to call the police. That would have taken 30mins. If I had to I would have broken the glass. I'm thinking of supporting a different dog charity. I am not happy. Good at messaging but not your job! I am thinking to support another dog charity after 12years

Have just read these reviews on this so called place that is supposed to help animals in any way to survive.Really just for curiosity reasons as I have heard from some of my friends that thay are not what thay make out to be.& I was thinking how could this be as thay were the first ones I thought of if in need & unfortunately a good few many years ago used for a wild animal.& I truly believed that it would be back in the wild after which I thought was probably a minor injury.I have been so wrong thinking all beautiful things that it probably has it's own family now. Which are still in the area it come from. But it gives me no hope at all reading some of these reviews. Now I no what my friends have said is very true unfortunately. So very sorry for these people's reviews on here it's so very sad & I am surprised that thay can have advertising on t.v when so many people are not happy with how thay are.🥲

RSPCA are selective about the animals they save. We have rang several times and told they would have to charge to come out and help injured animals.

Absolutely useless, they allow BEAGLES to be bred for the soul purpose of laboratory experiments, which are completely unacceptable! In the name of science, but won't stand against this barbaric practice. Camp Beagle still fighting

Rspca are not there for the well being of animals and that is a fact.Do not donate to these murderers they kill innocent animals.poor destiny was only a puppy fit and well and they killed her weekend just gone stating she had behavioural issues and a limb issues independent animal behaviouralist visted destiny roughly 6 months ago and said she was fine. Also behaviouralist stated she would take her to her kennels to which the RSPCA POINT BLANK REFUSED THEY WERE ADAMANT ON KILLING THIS POOR DOG.
