So I had no problem with the guys who load and unload but my problem was that I had damaged furniture. Sent on paperwork and photos within the 14 day window and it’s been over 6 weeks. No call back or resolution yet. Beware

Not sure how to rate our experience. The crew who loaded our rented truck in sub- zero weather in the midwest showed up promptly, were good guys, and polite. They had not received, from what we could see, any training or education on how to load a truck. They did their best and will, no doubt, improve with experience, but they could have used some seasoned guidance. The crew unloading our truck out west were clearly led by an older man who knew what to do and how to teach his 2 man crew. That and better weather made a huge difference. I would use SML again but that first 3 man crew really needed my husband’s help!

It’s difficult because 2 men loaded the truck. The older gentlemen was hard working and kept things going. The young man was unacceptable. I even asked him if he was on drugs, because he literally was falling asleep, causing an injury to the other. When I asked if specific furniture was in the truck, he said yes! Then I found part of a headboard, part of the armoire, and a large mirror left in the dining room I had specifically asked and he responded yes it’s in the truck. When the furniture was unloaded the armoire was damaged I will send pictures. No, I would not recommend to others.

The loading crew in Louisiana did a horrible job loading the truck. The didn't wrap any of the furniture in blankets or tie anything down resulting in damage to the leather on my couch, surface of my washer and dryer. They also packed boxes of books on top of antique dishes.

The loading crew was satisfactory, but the unloading crew was entirely unsatisfactory. Very disappointed.

The truck loaders were terrible in every way. They did not want to be there on a Sunday and made that very clear. They did not follow a single request which ultimately ended up in several of my more expensive items being damaged. They passed gas the entire time. They were rude. Some of my stuff is missing and have no idea where they are. They couldn't get out of there fast enough leading to some items not being loaded. That being said, the truck unloaders were the complete opposite and there was not a single issue with them. They completed everything asked and added no damage to my belongings.

In my opinion only 2 employees are required to do this type of work. During the loading of my households only 2 of the 3 employees were actually working, the 3rd one was just walking around the other 2 who were working. Marco was very good doing the job but he lacked on coordinating the 2 helpers doing a better job.

You Simple move charged a high price and the movers were late and very inexperienced, did not know the skills of moving box's. Summary: high price for low quality

On my 1 guy out of 3 was competent and working and I had to help or they would have never finished.

The service was pretty bad. Movers did not cover my furniture correctly during my first move. Movers were an hour late to my second move, on top of lousy handling of the furniture. I won't use this service again.

I request three professional movers. Two movers arrived on the job. The two movers worked consistently but one mover clearly had more experience than the other. Many times the more experienced mover had to instruct the less experienced mover on how to load pieces onto the dolly or pack the truck. Although I received a 10% discount for dissatisfaction, a manager stated that out of consideration for the missing movers the rate was lowered to the two man rate. I take issue that the rate difference was not a concession because there was no reason for the rate to be for 3 movers when 2 did the work. Even though the rate was lowered I contend that the number of hours to get the job done was higher than it should have been if the third mover had reported to the job as planned.

furniture was loaded incorrectly causing it to be delivered to the wrong location. All furniture was marked according to the 2 stops and specific instructions were given. My son is now without his dresser and bookshelf

The coordinators were personable, quick, and attentive. The actual moving crew they found was quick and showed up early. The method that things were moved was not good. My stuff was pulled out of the truck and not immediately brought into the house. Various pieces of furniture were strewn around on the walk outside and then just left there and walked by. Wet leaves from the walk were stuck to the bottoms of a lot of the boxes and furniture that were sat outside before being brought in, so tracked through the house. I don't know why they didn't just bring stuff straight in, put down some plastic to protect the carpet, wear booties, something. I took the time to label EVERY box with the contents, and added a separate label that said which room each individual box needed to go to. These labels were completely ignored and everything was jumbled up everywhere and we had to re-move just about everything to the appropriate rooms after the movers moved stuff in. If I wanted to pick up and move every item myself, I wouldn't have paid for movers. Moving is emotionally exhausting as it is, and trying to make sense of how to arrange everything is mentally taxing, plus there's a million other things to arrange and take care of. I was hoping to catch a break on the physical side, but ended up having to sort through to find what every box was and lift and haul stuff around the house to where it was supposed to have gone anyway. Could have gone much better. I've never hired movers before, but I had higher expectations.

The loaders were awesome. I actually got to my new home on thanksgiving day and had to cancel the unload due to arriving early and SML was not available, but I lost my deposit. It is sad that SML was more interested in the $110 deposit versus having a life long customer and positive word of mouth..... with that said I will never be a customer again and will tell everyone in the airlines that I work for NOT to use SML. It could have been a positive experience, but it was not.

Although the guys sent were nice and worked hard the way they put my furniture in the truck resulted in every piece of my furniture being damaged extensively . So I cannot give a good reference for the overall job and what I paid for would not recommend your company

Crew arrived 1 hour late. Not very experienced and broke several items. Dumped firepit glass all over patio. Left early.
