Service provided was good although movers arrived late and did not seem to move very quickly

Movers were very nice and packed things utilizing maximum space but failed to insure all air space was filled. Empty draws in deal, nothing in small frig and space left under the desk. Even though I asked them twice to utilize these spaces.

Exspected stronger and more exsperenced workers. However both workers were very pleasant and hard workers eager to help. Neither knew how to load a truck nor how to tie down the load

The young men spent a lot of time talking to one another and on their phones. However they did use the space inside the truck very well, just slow about getting it done. My father-in-law has the same packers two days later and when we spoke he had similar complaints. Two out of the three seem to work a significant amount more than the third, which really spent more time walking around asking questions and needing to be advised to help lift heavy items. I think I could have had the help of only two guys and got the same amount of work done.

One guy was using his ell phone. He later apologized stating 'family matters'. Boxes labeled 'fragile' had other boxes on top of them. Some boxes were on side.

Phil is a good worker, doesn’t waste time. Bob on the other hand uses any excuse to stop and stand around, I even told him he needed to keep working and move faster cause I had a 4 hr drive after that. My job should have been under 2 hrs but went longer because of that. He also had me sign and initial prior to job completion which is kind of shady and then he didn’t tell me the charges or give me a receipt.

Movers didn't seem to know what they were doing. The "boss" seemed to be instructing the other 2 movers what to do most of the time rather than moving things himself. So I'm not pleased that I had to pay for 3 movers. Also the guy tried to charge me until 3pm when they were finished at 230pm, 235pm after he got the paperwork out of their car. I had much better experience with other movers from your company in the past, when I had only 2 movers and more things being moved the job was done much more efficiently.

Used you multiple times. Used to be guys took more care in packing and organizing truck/storage. Not so much anymore. Also, offered to assemble items. Not offered these times.

Our loaders weren't going as fast as we felt they should. The job was taking a lot longer than expected and I couldn't afford to add more hours.

It was great to have movers with last minute's notice, that is for sure. Because I only speak English and 2 of the 3 movers spoke NO English and the third only spoke broken English there was a fair amount of miscommunication; where things were to be placed, what should not be moved on a hand truck, when using the hand truck use padding, boxes clearly labeled DO NOT STACK/ DO NOT CRUSH/ GLASS/FRAGILE did not seem to matter. If I could put a review between poor and acceptable I would. I do not fault the workers for not speaking English but I am upset about several items that were scratched, loosened and stacked without regard. It was a last minute decision that cost me over $440 for 3 movers for one hour.......pretty expensive but overall helpful I suppose.

Laborers were social. Friendly. I felt at times i picked up slack as the stairs got the better of one if the movers and he sat for a while. Helpful in backing up my vehicle!

Timely arrival with an average rate of work speed. This was my fourth movement of these household goods. You're competitor are better versed in the process and didn't need to solicit a gratuity. cash only. That was the starting point that cost them and your company my business from additional services.

The moving crew departed prior to completing tasks we had discussed completing. There was a couch left in one area of the house, and a head board the team took a part that was not put back together.

The day of our move was rainy, and my response takes that into account, but the crew could've been more careful in those conditions. A few items touched the wet/muddy ground (master bed mattress), one piece of wooden furniture rec'd a minor nick, and the new master bedroom wall was scratched by a bedframe. I've had excellent experiences with SML crews in the past, but this one wasn't on par with the others. Thanks for accepting feedback. Chip

Canceled the order for the night before for unloading the truck, my son unloaded the truck and was still charged $110 for canceling . I won’t be using SML again and won’t recommend to anyone

Slow start for 2 guys. Spent time trying to talk to our family while we needed to hurry and get on the road. One packed the truck and the other did most of the loading.

I used Load and Unload Service. Load Crew left a mirrored door to an Armoire in the garage and on the unloading process, found 3 boxes marked Fragile-Glass at the bottom of the stack. They also came at 11:30 AM, when they were supposed to come between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. When I asked them why they were late, they told me that as long as they came at 11:30 AM, they are on time. They told me they were done loading and wanted me to sign the contract as complete. I signed and then gave them a tip. I did not check their work and that was my mistake. I called SML and told them of the situation, all they could do was to give me 10% off. Not right, in my opinion, they did not fulfill the contract. I spent 3 hours of my driving time unloading and loading the door and then the things I took off the truck. Some of the knots were loose and I had to tie the ropes tighter. I saw that some of the knots were loose and show them how to tie tighter. They tied the same knot and before I left I left for the new house, re-tied them. Unload crew was excellent They were scheduled at 10:30 AM and were there little before. They unloaded without a problem. I would rate crew as poor and unload crew as excellent, so it was acceptable.

Clearly one of the guys was experienced but the other may have been recruited that morning. The more experienced guy was good but there was actually some damage and scrap marks on some of the furniture when I looked later on. And also there was a couple of occasions i had to help these guys as the experiwmced guy was able to hold up his end so to speak but the other guy was really quite a small slight guy that didn’t seem to have a lot of strength and I had to step in to lift and move things along. All in all I think your set is is ok but as long as you get two strong experienced guys doing the move. One of the guys was clearly a last minute replacement.
