“Sockshop seems rather innocuous as few people go online thinking "I need socks". From my own experiences socks are mostly gifts. Yet, I felt the urge to treat myself on a number of quliaty socks from Pantherella, John Smedley and T.Hilfiger. The large but organized array of socks hit the spot between choice anxiety and individualism. Minor point are the shipping costs and the poor return process for countries not in the UK. But who returns socks anyway?”
“I purchased 3 pairs of socks. Grey pair malted inside my boots. Second black pair maulted like know ones business and the third pink pair had the dye rubbed off the black pair as it was a two pair pack.
I've never ever experienced putting on socks to be met by threads getting caught on my toes. Not worth the money at all. Disappointed and I will not be buying again from this company.”
“I like the socks, but the customer service is awful. I recieved the wrong item in my parcel. I contacted and asked the correct item to be sent out asap and was told it could only be sent out once the wrong item was returned (at my inconvenience). I am happy to return it, but explained the delay receiving them would delay me being able to send my mother-in-law her christmas present. The member of staff really could not care less. It was their mistake, they should take responsibility for putting it right straight away rather than waiting for the postal system. As they won't they have lost my business both now and in the future as I will be returning my whole order.”
“Bought a pair of plush Christmas slipper socks size 7-11 as a stocking filler for my son who takes a size 10. As it was a stocking filler and I assumed would fit as within his size range, I had taken the tags off the socks. Christmas morning came and he tried to wear them only to find he couldn't even get them over his heel as they were so narrow and small. A great disappointment and can't even send them back as I had taken the tags off. Complete waste of money. Won't be shopping online here again as can't trust the sizing!”
“I purchased 15 pairs of Bamboo socks from Pringles of Scotland from this company only to find that they were made in China for the Sock Shop under licence. I thought Pringles were a good brand how wrong can you be! What else do they subcontract don't buy from this company!”
