The young gentleman at the Heartland, Mississauga location who claimed to be a manager first said I cannot make a return as he said he had no purchase history. I had to log into my phone and show him my purchase He then said the shoes looked dirty. I had never worn them outside and had just tried them in at home. He then said he would make the return this one time and not next time if I brought back “damaged” shoes. He was extremely rude and when I asked him for his name he said he doesn’t need to give it to me. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. There is no point complaining to their customer service as no one cares

Usually I don't do reviews on businesses be it good or bad, but SOFTMOC crossed that line. So, I purchased some items on the 8th and 9th Of April 2020. Please here is the ORDER NUMBERS as follow, ORDER# 5120443 ORDER# 5122307 ORDER# 5122379 After ordering online...These ORDERS were voided right away merchandise by merchandise simply because they are so SUPER INCOMPETENT to update their inventories. Now today is 13th Of April 2020 and I am yet to get my $229.39 right back into my account and which I have been contacting their Customer's service on 18777638662 to no avail. Please note that SOFTMOC will be the first COMPANY I will heard or see get rid of "Customer's Care Services" in the midst of this PANDEMIC going on. What an INCONSIDERATE COMPANY. Like seriously speaking, what Company does that? SOFTMOC I GUESS? Cause I'm a frequent online shopper so I shop from all SOFTMOC COMPETITORS from HIGH to Low cause I have dealt with returns and refunds from various Customer's Care Services during this PANDEMIC and I have never had to go through Hassle's like this. Since I had no clue where my HARD EARNED MONEY went and when exactly I will be getting it back. So, I decided to contact SOFTMOC via their "live chat". chatted with "Agent 22" or whatsoever. He/she said I have to wait for 24- 78hrs to get my money back but when I said to the "Agent 22" that it has been 6 (Six) Holy days now and I'm yet to receive my money into my account. Then He/She switched up the whole thing to 2weeks to a Month. I am like this is just INCOMPETENCE and a SCAM at its finest....So with all the PANDEMIC going on across the WHOLE WORLD where people are getting laid off work just like "SOFTMOC" LAID OFF THEIR "CUSTOMER'S CARE SERVICES" and people SERIOUSLY HAVING HARD TIME PUTTING FOOD ON THEIR TABLE IS WHEN SOFTMOC CHOOSES TO "SCAM AND RIPPED OFF SOMEONE LIKE ME OFF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY". WHAT A SCAM. Now I simply don't know if I'm going to get my $229.39 back or not due to their INCOMPETENCE, INCONSIDERATE AND THEIR SCAMMING NATURE AS A COMPANY. PLEASE SHOPPERS BE WARNED.

They advertise express shipping 1 day. This is false. Item never arrived and they will not return my money, until they open an investigation. This is unacceptable, I never received the goods, they have confirmed that - why not give customers a refund? Horrible customer service. Beware when you order from this company.

I will never buy anymore shoes from SoftMoc, they are the worst in customer service. Bought 2 pairs of sandals on line and was charged shipping of 3.99 for each pair and I had the sandals shipped to the store. Complained to both customer service and the manager @ the Cornwall Center in Regina and did not receive any reimbursement. Don’t buy on line it’s a scam!!!

Just checked the previous reviews and saw that everyone complains about Softmoc’s bad customer service. I also had a very bad customer service experience today at Softmoc in Sherway Gardens Mall-Etobicoke. I do not understand why the company does not try to fix this issue when the people have a common complaints. I think the management should invest more on their employees training such as how to greet, talk and help customers. Employees should learn that one single purchase is not that important, the most important thing is customer’s reference/feedback. No more shopping from Softmoc again.

Worst customer service from Head Office, would NOT recommend them. I use to buy lots of shoes but there was an issue with a return (which was a store mistake). They will never see me again!!

Terrible customer service!!! The manager was inspecting the boots I returned so hard. I literally tried on in the store and never took them out of the box and returned them and they were questioning whether I wore them. Awful!!! Kingsway Garden Mall. Never shop here!!!! they were not pleasant at all.

The shoes started coming apart on the first day, within two weeks they were pretty much trash, on the third week when we took them back they refused to honour their warranty/guarantee,DO NOT BUY FROM HERE !!! , poor quality shoes and will not stand behind their warranties.

If I could give no stars, I would. It has been 5 months of me trying to get a refund on a pair of Hunter Boots that I returned. They repeatedly tell me the refund has been "declined". I call and give my card number again, and still no refund. I will never buy anything from here again, ever.

Firstly I purchased blundstones January 3 received them a few days later and had to return them as they weren’t the right ones. They told me ten days and I would be refunded the 265$. My CC was comprised immediately I contacted soft moc to let them know they said ten days again for my refund, but it may take longer as they are very behind in returns. So your poor choice of laying off too many people that you can’t keep your current few customers satisfied I now have to wait even longer. I called today and they are now telling me it would be 30 days from the date I changed my CC info. Firstly if I only waited 10 days my card wasn’t compromised until after those ten days. Secondly when I called and explained to the unhelpful agent about my situation yes I was angry and I said to her I am sorry I am not angry with you I am angry with your company. She told me calm down it takes 30 days from when your info was changed WTF are they doing. It’s not like these were 30$ shoes. Worst experience ever never am I shopping there again even when they are open. Please shop anywhere else.

Boy, do I wish I had done more research and read the company reviews (all extremely poor, from different website such as Yelp, Glassdoor, BBG.org, Reviews.io & Trustpilot) before ordering online from SoftMoc. Despite the ongoing pandemic and state of emergency here in Ontario, I have recently had to go back to work out of financial necessity. My new job is in the Hospitality sector, and I am working very long shifts on my feet. I needed to purchase appropriate shoes, and after researching different brands and styles I decided on the Croc Literide Clogs. I compared different prices online via Amazon, Nordstrom, Crocs.com and decided to purchase from Softmoc because I THOUGHT they were a reputable retailer and hey, why not support a Canadian company? That being said, I will NEVER order from SoftMoc again, or set foot in another store. My order was placed around 11pm on January 16th. I selected the in- store pickup option as I needed the shoes before my next shift, and, according to the website, the shoes were in stock at the location closest to me. I received the confirmation email and thought all was well. The next morning, I received 3 consecutive emails- all 1 minute apart. The first one said that the shoes were not in stock and would have to be shipped to the store, and did not give any information regarding shipping times. It did not give an option to cancel or pick up from a different location. The second one said that there was a problem with my billing information and that the order could not be processed until I clicked a link that would presumably take me back to the payment form. The third (received less than a minute after the second) said that my order had been cancelled and gave no other information. Not only could I have just purchased the shoes from ANY other store if they weren't in stock, but I paid for the order via Visa Debit, and the money (70$) had already been taken out of my account. In a time when extra 'spending money' is not something that many people have, it isn't feasible to just make a second purchase while casually waiting for a refund that may or may not come. I called customer service, and was "helped" by a woman (unfortunately I don't remember her name) who (unsurprisingly) could provide little to no insight on the matter. She couldn't tell me what the billing issue was, or why the order had been cancelled. She couldn't tell me how long it would take for the funds to be deposited back into my account, and said it could take up to a month? Having worked in customer service for 10+ years, it is my understanding that debit refunds usually take around 3 days to process, but can take anywhere from 7- 10 days at the longest depending on your bank. Unfortunately, I realize that many merchants don’t have as much motivation to process a refund as they do to process a purchase that will put money in their pockets. That's reality. However, the lack of knowledge or support from SoftMoc's so- called 'support' team is laughable by any standards. I do not know if I will receive the refund, as I've read many similar reviews from people who never did. I hope this review will deter others from making the same mistake. The company PRIDES itself on being "the first Online Shoe Store in Canada, and one of the first in North America", and for offering "a fully transactional eCommerce experience". They also claim to offer "a unified experience" for their online customers. Perhaps the company should focus more on re- evaluting the human aspect of customer service.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. DID NOT HAVE MY ITEM FOR A SIZE EXCHANGED AND REFUSES TO GIVE ME A REFUND. WHEN THEIR MISSION STATES: We had a vision to create meaningful customer experiences through service and unsurpassed quality of product." So, tell me more about how your mission statement is aligned to how you treat your customers that are seeking solution to a problem initiated because you don't have an item in stock? VERY UNFAIR TREATMENT TO A CUSTOMER THAT FIRST: DECIDED TO GO TO YOUR STORE INSTEAD GOING TO THE COMPETITION; SECOND: ALL WANTED WAS AN EXCHANGE OF SIZES WHICH YOU DON'T HAVE; THIRD: ALSO DON'T RETURN THE CUSTOMER MONEY TO GO PURCHASE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. Feeling very frustrated.

Ordered placed for express same day delivery. Received email confirming package processed and indicating today's date for delivery. Package NEVER arrived. Called customer svc and received the worst rep EVER. He was talking all over me and ends with saying "ok if you don't receive your pkg again today, just be aware UPS does not deliver on the weekend so you can just expect it next week". He further explained there's nothing SoftMoc can do but give me UPS phone no. and I need to call them and get an explanation. He was completely unsympathetic and continued to talk over me as I explain their email to me confirming express delivery which was supposed to be made yesterday! Rude rep and dishonest SoftMoc promise of express shipping. Just beware.

I ordered a pair of sneakers and they used a sketchy delivery company I've never heard of as an express shipping option. The company in question can't be reached by phone and I've got no replies from my online inquiry. Essentially the delivery driver took pics of the package infront of my door but never knocked. I never got a confirmation email saying my item had been delivered like all other items I ever ordered online. Hours later the package wasn't infront of my door. When I reached out to SoftMoc they told me they were in no way legally liable. Now I'm stuck waiting on a police investigation for a stolen package to have access to the building footage of what actually happened. All I'm going to say is that I'll never order from SoftMoc again. If they can't choose reliable delivery options, they don't deserve my business. Also, I've been in my building for 5 years and have never had a package stolen before because everyone knows we have security.

Worst service ever at Coquitlam Mall location. After spending 300 dollars they wanted to charge me 60 cents for a bag. The staff were incredibly rude no customer service skills at all. Never will shop there again.

Softmoc upper canada mall has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. How busy can they be that they can’t pick up a call or return one? I have tried for an entire day to get through to the store to make sure they have the boot i want in the correct size before I drive out of my way to go there. It’s clear they absolutely do not care about making sales or helping phone customers. While other shoe companies are jumping to stay in busy and help ALL customers both in- house and phone to keep the doors open, I guess SoftMoc doesn’t need my business. Thanks for nothing.

I see that I'm joining a long list of customers who will no longer be customers! I ordered two pairs of shoes from them online and received them fairly quickly, but one pair of the shoes had clearly been worn, thrown back into the box and returned to stock - then shipped to me. As an apology, they offered a 15% discount on another pair "of my choice" but they won't refund because I used Sezzle to pay for them. I used Sezzle because it is another layer of protection in case something goes wrong, and it did. I'll never buy from them again whatsoever. Canada should be ashamed to give business licenses to companies such as this!

I went to Soft Moc at the plaza at number 2 and Harwood in Ajax. I took my two grandkids as one of them needed boots. I had enquired with the two individuals behind the counter and they pointed in the direction of the kids boots. I enquired about the two boots and what size they were are I was trying to entertain two kids. The answer “can you bring them here?” Really?? Well this was the start of the disappointment. I finally was able to get one boot and get my grandaughter to try it on. I could not find the other boot - so I took the box to the counter. In the midst of all this I had a call from my daughter whose kids were with me, the manager Sue, asked me where the second boot was when I took it to the counter. I remarked about the lack of service and assistance and the the discussion I asked to end as it started to become confrontational. When Sue rang in my order, there was no thank you, just a push of the box containing the purchased boots. Service and assistance no longer exists and this was a blatant display. I feel for Mothers who try to keep everything in order and look to employees to provide help in stressful shopping experiences.
