“South west water refused to offer assistance about sewage overflow problem on property.When informed that raw sewage had escaped from drain outside kitchen they eventually came at 2200 and cleared blockage.They then stated that problem was within property boundary and said that no assistance would be provided in future as problem was responsibility of property owner .4 similar escapes of sewage that covered garden path and garden over next 12 months and zero help as they maintained problem was not theirs and within property boundary.several independent drainage companies employed at great expense and equipment purchased to attempt to remove and clear blockages.Each time drainage company stating that problem was at very least at or beyond property boundary .Still no assistance from SWW as they maintained fault lay within property boundary.Jan 19 and problem with escaping sewage in garden happened again.Owner excavated through 4" thick concrete floor in shed which formed boundary wall and excavated hole to depth of approx 8feet.Raw sewage which flowed upwards to surface being bucketed out by hand and carried up a ladder.Hole and problem eventually reached and the broken sections of pipework removed from within pipework and trap inlet.Problem now cleared and toilet flowed clear.Problem section of pipework was not within property boundary and SWW engineer who had only 5 days earlier insisted that problem was definitely within home owner boundary agreed that problem was in fact outside boundary and therefore SWW Problem all along .what an absolute disgrace !.unfortunately this feedback insists on me leaving a minimum of 1 star for the service received .zero is a far more accurate rating.If there was any alternative to this appalling company and their almost criminal neglect of their obligations I would choose to use them in the future.”

“BE WARNED. The fact that they frequently send out information re private insurance for "your" pipes is because they are absolving themselves of all responsibility except for Main Drains. Especially in old town there are INTERMEDIATE pipes going under public land roads and pavements which take waste water from your system to their Main Drains. THEY WILL NOW REFUSE TO INVESTIGATE THESE BLOCKAGES. Just repeatedly saying "Our Main system is clear" ....."Our Main system is clear"..........okay so we are in the Middle Ages and I will do my Washing in a bucket and throw the waste out onto the street.”
“I deal with both SWW Business and SWW and cannot understand how SWW achieve so many good reviews, these must simply be based on the ability and helpfulness of the customer service advisors who are always very pleasant, however in my opinion SWW is the worst water provider in the UK, their charges for water and waste are truly extortionate, more than double that of some other providers, telephone wait time are appalling and online accounts impossible to access as after you enter correct user and password details the site says they're incorrect and locks the account until one changes the password etc and after taking the trouble to do this when you try and access account again the same thing happens GRRRR, locked account again, SWW are useless, for all the money they charge they don’t even invest and provide a decent phone or online account service, rubbish.
If only one could choose water suppliers I would leave never to return. Worst company EVER.”
