SCAMMER ALERT: SCAMMER ALERT : BEWARE Spark has called our home 11 times this week with soliciting sales. I've told them based on the very large number of one star reviews, that I wouldn't even consider doing any business with them. Today was the 12th call we've received and when I reminded the man about why I would Never do business with his company. He hung up. Not surprising, if you check the internet you will find mostly bad reviews from multiple states, customers who have been wronged By this company use words like, criminal, rip off, poor customer service, rude, and there are quite a few more. BEWARE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THS COMPANY, IT IS NOTHING BUT A CHEAP SCAM

How can a company have people work for them that plain out scam people. I was switched over without my knowledge. When I called today to cancel, they said they couldn't until next meter reading. How is that, when they switched me in 5 days. If they can switch me without my knowledge in 5 days, they sure can cancel me just as soon. Your company is awful, to do this to innocent people.

They pretty much burn me I got sucked in to it and then a tree hit my house so all gas and electricity was shut down when I tried to call and tell them they still continued to charge me I moved and they were blowing my phone up and now in collections for some out rages price I only used them for a month there pretty forceful never again

I feel like I have been scammed by the agents of Spark Energy. Spark Energy representative came to my home in metro Detroit, showed me they were with my local gas company, and wanted to help me save money. I agreed thinking they were with my local gas company, Consumer Energy. Little did I know that was far from the truth. My gas bill doubled and now I have to justify the 1000s I paid extra. The agent was very untruthful and did not disclose who they represented and all the hidden fees that should have been accounted for. I now know that the agent was hired by Spark Energy and represents this. This is mal business practice, deceiving customers and this practice should end!

F**NG SCAM. Their agent knocked on my door last year and I couldn't get rid of him. He insisted in showing me amazing offer that I will be paying £27 a month on electricity. So I agreed and we sat a direct debit on the spot. At the end of the year I received a £1250 bill. They claimed these were usages outside my terrif. Why did they not notify me on time? I'm also not convinced as I live alone and hardly in the flat. How is it possible that I was using £131 a month on electricity alone?? Now spark got out business, I got moved into SSE who arranged repayment plan for this huge debt in now in. If I don't pay it my credit score will be destroyed. What a F****G AMAZING OFFER

£427.72 6th of January to the 6th of April for a 1 bedroom small open plan flat on Economy 7 This company are a rip off I’ve lived in our flat for three years and inherited this suppler from the previous tenants. we noticed our account sky rocketed, the month following our account being in credit and continued spiralling onto the moon from there! We then realised the company was set to transition over to s.s.e (what a surprise, not) after countless phone calls with no explanation. we got a smart meter installed only to watch and be in amazement of how low the numbers actually were! clearly something is wrong. Very frustrating as we know we are paying double the price of a 5 bedroom house with sash windows

Rented 1 bed flat. They confirmed new monthly, changed to smart meter in November 2020, without approval put in pre-pay meter which previously I had stipulated on no account install this. They wrongly wired it, consequently, the 2 storage radiators do not work when cheap rate kicks in on economy7. Many many hours of phone calls, many emails, they refuse to fix it. Current tenants have experienced the 2nd beast of the east, worst cold weather in 10 years, just with a portable £20 oil fired radiator. Spark told my tenants that the previous tenant did not tell them they had storage radiators, lies , despite the meter changer telling me that Economy7 now has 2 off peak periods which will make running the storage radiators cheaper and more efficient. SSE advised on 15th October 2020 would take over billing for Spark. They refuse to answer any emails. I employed an Electrical Engineer who made a report which I forwarded to SSE & Spark, no answer, he moved 1 wire but the provider has to move a neutral wire for it to work, he estimates 1/2 hour job. Disgraceful, their licences should be revoked, liars.

This company is absolutely useless. The customer service is extremely poor. I have been chasing them to close my account for almost two months. I was informed that my gas closing meter reading was not provided by my new supplier - Octopus. The closing meter reading was resent by Octopus on the 17th November, 8th December and the 15th December 2020. I have been on the line again today for almost 1hr to confirm when my credit balance would be transferred to my account. Please run from this supplier. They are absolutely useless!

Avoid. Not only are they just as terrible as these reviews make out, but genuinely have issues as individuals. Literally should not be in any position that involves interacting with the public. Utter weirdos.

Switched automatically without consent when we moved into new rented property. Called them (very rude customer service) and they said they had agreed this with the letting agency (then asked for my details which I didn’t give- and couldn’t give me an account number or even the landlord’s name), we called the agency in turn who had no idea about this. Tried to switch to another supplier, we couldn’t because of cooling off period. So lucky that we had a great estate agent who somehow resolved this for us and a month later we were able to switch. Now getting bill from them to ‘occupier’ (they never did get our names or the landlord’s), to pay for a contract we never entered into, or agreed to for that month. Despicable company, don’t know how anyone can work for such an unprofessional and unethical company.

I wish I can give them less than 1 star.. this company is a complete mess.. please avoid them for your own sanity.. their customer care are so rude and silly.. no form of customer service.. I’ll take the company further..I am coming for you guys.. all the money you’ve taken from me you must pay in full.. how do you charge me 284 pound in a month and say it’s my estimated bill even after installing a meter.. I’ll sue the company.. just watch me.. thank God I’ve left the silly company.. THIEVES

I’m going to be taking spark further. For my house which is all energy saving, I have been over Charged MONTH after MONTH again and again. They ask for meter readings every time I ring. However never do anything. They charged me 900 for one month! Actual mess of a company. I am going to be taking them further as hey are extorting people during a pandemic to make their own money.

Absolute joke of a company. They will always increase your monthly direct debits without consent or notification- to amounts that financially cripple you. I have finally left this company for good. My account is £108 in credit with them. I have requested this refunded on numerous occasions and surprise surprise; I am being ignored. They had final meter reads the day I left them. So no excuse for not giving me MY MONEY back. My direct debits were doubled over the course of 6 month, which would make sense if my account wasn't in credit. They are thieves and the rates are not good. Stay clear!

Nightmare experience with spark energy!!! I have 5 daughter youngest 3 years old. Last week 2am my gas supply cuts off, so no heating at all, very cold night. Called emergency no. Guy came and pointed out the faulty smart meter put on by spark energy. 9am in the morning called spark told them what happened and 2 days later they thankfully sent engineer with meter which turned out to be a payg meter?? Lol Called spark and told them I am not on payg meter and don't want it but they said its only available?? Neways had no choice but to accept that temporary paygo meter, was told I will get top up card as it was the old meter not smart. It had 10 pound credit. 4 days go by no body came to swap the meter which they promised. Called spark again and told them I'm running out of balance too and have no card?.. Got reply sayn when u run out of balance give us call we will top it for u. Neways 10 pounds ran out on 5th day. It was 7pm, had food in grill for kids, 9 year old daughter was in shower and guess what??!! No gas😕called spark energy but after hour conversion they totally denied to top up. Told them everything, the whold setuation the guy didn't bother. At the end he just shocked me!!! He told me to go somebody else's house?? This happened on 9th November when Every1 is under lock down and clearly its vialating the law to go to some1 else's. Spark energy you totally suck!!!! I hope nobody else goes through such experiences.

I left Spark in August. I was paying £111 a month for a one bed flat ( I live alone and use a normal amount of gas and electric) which I thought was extortionate so I left and found another company. Somehow I ended up with a £360 end of contract bill. I didn’t think this was correct and had it looked into. However I was assured by Spark this was correct. I could not afford to pay back this loan straight away so I set up a payment plan with a company called Opos Limited. I have made 2 payments which they have told me they have sent straight to Spark. However, every day for the last two months I have received an email AND a text daily asking for the money and a threat of my account being transferred to a debt collection agency. I have rang Spark on 4 occasions regarding this and have been told they will stop communication but this has still carried on. On the 26th October I received a text from another company AJJB law who have said Spark have handed this debt over to them and I need to pay today!!! This company have EXTORTIONATE charges for both gas and electric and can not communicate effectively with their customers or their partner companies. Do not use!

This company is a scam. When we moved into our flat we were with spark energy for 12 days, we were sent a bill and paid it. We then changed suppliers. Spark has since pestered me saying I owe them money even though I have changed provider. They have sent my details to a debt collection agency after multiple phone calls where they stated I didn’t owe them anything. Customer service are extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked to speak to management to discuss my issue and they blocked my number. I have sorted it with the debt collection agency yet they CONTINUE to send me emails
