"I purchase a pair of golf shoes that turned out to be faulty - a seam opened up after 3 or 4 rounds of golf in the first 3 weeks. Customer services felt it was wear and tear and did not feel that replacement or refund was appropriate! Customer service is very poor with little regard for consumer rights it seems. "This store have stolen my money. I returned an item that was too small and at first they said that the item had not been received, despite Royal Mail confirming that it had been delivered.\r\nThen, after eventually agreeing to refund me the money, they never actually did - but updated their system to show that the refund had been issued (3 weeks before they had argued online with me about not receiving the item apparently - why would they do that if they had already refunded me??) and are now telling me the issue is with my bank.\r\nMeanwhile, I have paid for an item that I no longer have, whilst they can sell an item again that has already been paid for once."

“When I ordered online on June 22, a product that was completely different from the image was delivered and I inquired. Image.] If you don't like it, refund it. That was their answer. So I paid the round-trip shipping fee and sent it to the first class with a signature and tracking at the post office, and after tracking, they received an item signed on July 3, but I asked them why I couldn't get a refund. I always use the post office for first class with the sign and it has never been lost, but why did the product only get lost when I requested a refund from Sports Direct? Responding to customers is very late, sticking to the company's friendly policy and pretending to be for customers, but responding like a parrot without thinking about customers at all. Where other common UK companies offer refunds within 3-5 business days, this company also states refunds within 14 days. Refunds can only be made with a voucher at the store. It's like a robbery with no service at all. This is just a scam. This is the worst company I've ever experienced. I will never use this company again.”

“Avoid at all cost. I placed an order on February 17th. It was sent on February 19th. The last update I received was on February 21st. Held in customs in the UK for delivery to Spain. After weeks of avoiding replying to my emails they confirm after speaking to a courier that the order has been lost and would I prefer another delivery with the same items or a refund. I request a refund. Another two weeks have passed and I have had no reply. Only another random email again asking me if I would like a refund. Shocking customer service. All they do is inform you to please email customer service where they never reply to your emails.”

“I enquired about an order I placed within one hour of placing the order. I placed an order for 2 products. Customer service responded on the 4 th day after I enquired. I enquired about a pick up option and not delivery as I was not given an option to pick up. The order was processed approximately 16-17 hours after I placed the order. When they contacted me on the 4th day they said they cannot do anything as it has already been dispatched. I asked them to cancel it and they said they can’t because it is already delivered. Yes it was delivered by the time they responded to my emails. They don’t have calling service and only emails. I assumed I can’t cancel because it is delivered. A part of the order was canceled by them due to less/no stock and I was still charged 19.99 for delivery of one product which I think is unfair. At no time they told me I could cancel within 14 days, I would have if they had informed me. They are misleading and have horrible service. The photo attached shows what appeared on the screen when I was placing the order. No delivery charges were shown. And I went ahead with Apple Pay and was directly charged 75 and I didn’t know why until later. Second photo is what I got after my Apple Pay.”

“I'd give them 0 stars if I could. Sports Direct use Evri delivery service and when there is a problem (order not delivered), you cannot phone either to speak to a person. I had been tracking the delivery with Evri & have screen shots saying it was NOT delivered on Sunday 18th due to the weather. I've been tracking every day & nothing to report. I sent an email & chat that I still haven't had my delivery to Sports Direct, & about an hour later get an update from Evri's tracking saying it was delivered on the 17th Dec at 23.59pm (screenshot. That message has now disappeared). SOMETHING'S VERY WRONG. I still haven't received my parcel. I was in and wide awake. We live at the bottom of a quiet close, with no-one passing. No knock, no letter left, checked with neighbours and NO DELIVERY. DON'T ORDWR FROM SPORTS DIRECT OR EVRI.”

My husband tried to return/ exchange some football boots as, after having worn them only a handful of times, they are coming apart at the front. Absolutely rubbish quality and Sports Direct would not even entertain a refund or exchange. The staff were very rude and unprofessional. They basically called my husband a liar and said that the boots looked like they had been worn more than he had actually worn them. They were 6 weeks old!! Even if he'd worn them every day they should last longer than this! But he didn't, he wore them 6 times for an hour a time. So for 6 hours in total! He had the receipt and the box but no movement whatsoever on the matter. What an absolutely shocking way to treat customers and pathetic quality of products. Having spoken to their customer service agents a number of times there has been no help or resolution reached. They have asked us to go back to the manufacturer directly which contravenes the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They sold us the boots, it is their responsibility to go back to the manufacturer. The boots were not of a satisfactory quality, they were not fit for purpose and they have not lasted a reasonable amount of time. 3 contraventions of LAW right there for you. WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT SHOP HERE EITHER.”

“After trying the trial model, I bought the gelert brand shoes from Sports Direct. When I got home, I took the shoes out of the box and put them on and went out. However, when I went out, I realized that it was too tight and I went back inside without even walking 20 meters. I went back to the store to exchange or return the shoes and buy a different model, and I explained my negative experience. They told me I left the shoes dirty, though it was much cleaner than the popular trial pattern. And they denied my exchange/return request. I told them that I would lie if I wanted, but that I had told the truth about everything that happened, and I said that what they did was not fair. Also, I think these shoes might be wore before as when I opened the box one of shoes looked like that, but I think it is normal for me. I checked the policy of exchange or return. It is not clear. I don't think it's my fault that the shoes I wear are incompatible with the trial model in the store. I have bought many items from there for three years, but I will never buy anything from there again. If it is in the policy, I will just complain the policy of Sports Direct, find them right, and I will celebrate them due to doing a good job by hoping that they treat everyone the same.”

“Terrible customer service and a nightmare ordering anything online and getting it delivered. I placed an online order and its been over a month and still did not get my package, their terrible delivery service with EVRI is an embarrassment. They have no form of contact or getting in touch the the driver. The delivery man put the parcel in the bin and i was not notified in any way that it was put in the bin and this was not requested upon ordering my items, in fact i was still getting emails telling me when i am going to receive my order. it has now been over 2 months and i have opened a case to get a complete refund. Never ordering from their website again, disgusting service!”

“Sportdirect is the worst experience of customer service I have ever experienced. I sent two separate returns on the 30th of April. On the 5th received notification that it will be delivered soon. On the 7th I received email that return arrived and “please allow 14 days for items to be inspected and refunds to appear on you bank account”. On the 22nd of May I haven’t received anything so I decided to email sport direct customer support and ask what the story is. I received this copy and paste reply “ Hi Sir/Madam, Thanks for reaching us. As I checked, there is no sign returns being received back yet in our warehouse. When you received the first notification of return being received, this means the return has entered Zigzag network but the physical item has yet to be received in our main warehouse. This has always been the arrangement, and I can confirm that the team can not provide updates on returns until the parcel is physically received back with us. Once received, you will be notified regarding refund or exchange via e-mail. Thank you for your kind patience. Kind Regards, Emirul Zainalabidin”. I then asked why email says I return arrived and I should receive the money and you are saying this and if they can explain. In response to my question I got EXACTLY the same email forwarded to me again. I then replied with the same questions asking to get answers. Response was “we will investigate the issue and will get back to you”. I asked what exactly are you investigating as you haven’t answered a single of my question? I got the original email they sent first time FORWARDED TO ME AGAIN! And no response since then. I went to SD website and submitted form for customer support there hoping that would help, explaining about my issue and messages that being forwarded to me without even looking at my question and screenshots, I got another prewritten response: “ Hi Sir/Madam, Thanks for reaching us, I'm sorry to learn the issues that you facing with, Please be informed that any return from outside United Kingdom it take up to 14 days or more. As per checked from our system the parcel still in transit and not delivered to us yet. As we still not receive the return parcel, there has no replacement or refund can be done from our side. Please accept our sincerely apologies on this issues. Kind regards, Ikram”. I again replied with my questions asking why nothing they say add up and nobody is answering any of my questions. I received EXACTLY THE SAME RESPONSE AGAIN. I find it extremely unprofessional and don’t feel like ordering anything again from SD and the reason I’m writing this review is also to let people know how ridiculous their CS is and that if something goes wrong, nobody!, nobody ! would be willing to help you and NOT EVEN answering a single question to really explain what happened. (As I would understand if they’d answer my questions and said sorry about that, we forgot to do refund, etc). But the way of forwarding messages is very disrespectful. 28 days later after sending my return, I don’t know where the return is (tracking number and email confirmation says it arrived to SD but they assure me it hasn’t,) I have no sign of my money back and nobody is willing to help If you ever order anything from sport direct be ready to fight for your money, as the only option SD customer service leaves you is to fight for in in the small court.”
