A few places did not reply and one stopped replying half way through the communication in spite of then apologising and asking for a telephone number. I would prefer to deal directly. It's the most annoying way of arranging an event.

The whole process with Tagvenue is both arduous and slow for response time. It’s bitty - you can’t speak to one person nor can you speak direct to the events team … it’s all messages and waiting

I would prefer just to deal direct by email with the person at the venue. This was lumpy. I ended up phoning the venue direct to check they'd put the booking in. Then the link to pay the credit card did not appear and it had to be sent to me separately by email outside Tagvenue. Wasted time hunting around trying to find it.

Room was smaller than it looked on the pictures and was fairly stuffy being underground. The tea and coffee was supposed to be refreshed throughout the day and wasn’t! And by the afternoon a smell of sewage was creeping in from being underground.

Hi, We had to cancel the booking 24 hours before due to unforseen circumstaances, because our boss got covid and couldn't attend and I asked for a refund, but I haven't heared back yet from the customer support team. Can you please update me on that, as I really need a refund.

Very poor communication from a member of the Tagvenue team. Took multiple days and sometimes weeks to reply to messages. Trued emailing various company and personal emails and numerous phone calls without responses. Ended up going through the head office number a few times with the promise that I would be called back but often didn't. The venue and event ran smoothly on the night but it was incredibly stressful not having any confirmation from tagvenue until only a few days beforehand. It was especially annoying as we had turned down other venues who seemed far more organised and keen for us to host our event with them.

Hi Emma, tagvenue is a great platform and we booked our xmas party through you at the piano works in the west end, really looking forward to it. However, after making the booking I realised we were going to be charged £45.00pp instead of £35.00 as initially advertised, after querying this with the tag venue booker Erica, she advised that prices start from £35.00 depending on the day of the week. I've had a look back through the initial details and there is NO mention of any higher prices for different days or that £35.00 is a "starting from" price. If you are going to have this policy you should really include ALL info on price clearly on the venue page rather than hiding the increase in cost. Price is not as advertised really.

I had dealings with several team Members, a couple were really good but most did not get back to me and even though I was given a quote for a meeting room on responding a few meetings later the meeting room was not available. I also had a quote that then went up in price. Overall I was not impressed

Great concept of being able to browse through multiple venues in one place. Frustratingly found that every venue we enquired at, the advertised cost on tag venue was completely wrong. More often than not, the costs involved were 5-10x more than advertised.

Hard to get a response sometimes. Numbers/ emails cannot be seen when communicating on the platform, which is quite a hassle.

Restaurants put one price on the website and when I am sending them requests, they make it 5 times bigger. Waste of time

To be honest, whilst I was happy that TagVenue flagged up the venue, of which I was not previously aware, going via TagVenue was a pain in the backside for the ongoing communication with the venue. If you're going to keep control of conversations - and I understand why you want to - then you need to remove all of the extraneous guff from the e-mails - use plain text versions, for starters - and the actual e-mail address of the venue contact needs to be available somewhere, so that we can choose to use it where necessary. It is extremely frustrating to have to remove all of the unnecessary rubbish from the e-mails just to have a conversation. I speak as someone who has run their own web-related company since 1998. I will not be fully using TagVenue again, for these reasons, I will simply go straight to the venue concerned once I've found it (quite possibly on TagVenue).

Tagvenue where great in setting up the booking but the owners of the venue where rude and pestered us until we handed over more money than agreed. Was not impressed. But tagvenue where great in organising the booking , owners of venue where the only let down. They had no idea how to set up any of the lighting or sound system which we had to figure ourselves and also took more money of us than originally agreed. Shame.

Hi there, Thanks for getting in touch. I did email the feedback directly also, just to say that we liked the venue (cinema) as a design - but with the building works taking place above the cinema, we had constant vibrations, hammering, drilling and banging meaning our screening was not possible and I'd like to request a refund. I would advise that in future, if a 'cinema' is being rented out, the hirer should be made aware that it will be noisy inside the room. I look forward to hearing from you. Tim

Member of staff arrived late to open up so I lost half an hour of my booking. Upon entry the venue was filthy and still have cups, rubbish and spilt beer on the floor from the night before. Against adding another delay to my booking as the place needed to be cleaned before I could start setting up. My volunteers have to muck in and sweep the floors and move things around so we could make up some time. The cleaners and kitchen staff arrived late saying they were not told to arrive earlier for me booking. When the manager arrived she didn’t not come to introduce herself to me but only did so when she wanted payment interrupting my conversations with my guests and clients to do this. Very unprofessional. When I spoke to her about what had happened during the day she made excuses, told a lie saying the memeber of staff who was late was already inside cleaning. This was not true! The guy who opened up for us said he was only called in that morning and we were waiting outside when he arrived and opened up. He was not inside the building. I wasn’t offered any compensation for the inconvenience. The booking process with the Head office went well but communication fell down with the Venue manager and could have potentially ruined my event. Thanksfully I had a great teams and it went really well thanks to them. I really like the light House Venue but it’s it very run down. The sound equipment and atheistics need updating and management need reviewing. The drinks and food are also way too expensive for what you get.

The venue was not up to standard, I would have expected that tagvenue would thoroughly maintain a level of standard of the venues listed and have some quality control for them before advertising.

Well, I didn't received any support from you ladieTAGVENUE in fact the venue that i found said she would book me in and i arranged everything and she didn't booked me in she booked somebody else after i handout my invitation cards.... I had to move the date to end f the month and rearrange everything from scratch...and tagvenue never involved with this. Thanks for asking my feed back Thanks Esra
