“We LOVE these properties and have stayed in about 40, in the UK and abroad. They have been VERY backward with technology over the years, and their backwardness in basic modern day equipment is notorious, but their overall product is good so they get away worth it. Over the yrs, and after having to deal with officious phone personnel, we have had to carry all bed linen and towels, soaps, a microwave , all our own cleaning stuff, clothes and tea towels. Very gradually these items are being supplied. HOWEVER.....we still have to take our own duvets. They only supply blankets and sheets. These blankets are UNWASHED btw visitors, which is especially worrying in the current Covid climate. The properties are unique and wonderful, but they should get their act together.”
