“I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with The Web Design Corp. My interactions with this company while trying to overhaul my website have been nothing short of a nightmare.
I initially contacted The Web Design Corp on March 29, 2022, with high hopes of transforming my website into a more modern and compliant platform. Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of a series of challenges, miscommunications, and unmet expectations.
From the start, there was a significant amount of back and forth required to arrive at a website design that I was even remotely satisfied with. While I understand that achieving the right design can take some iterations, the process was unnecessarily prolonged and often frustrating.
The situation worsened when The Web Design Corp finally rolled out the new website sometime in late May 2022. To my dismay, the website was riddled with errors and numerous issues that needed immediate attention. It was shocking to see how a supposedly professional web design company could release such a subpar product.
What added to my disappointment was the unexpected financial burden. Initially, I was provided with a certain price estimate, only to discover later that it was nowhere close to the final cost. The company sneakily included multiple add-ons that drove the total cost well beyond what I had anticipated. To my disbelief, these add-ons amounted to over $2,225, a significant departure from the original estimate.
One of the most aggravating aspects of this entire ordeal was the promised backend login feature, which would have allowed me to make changes to the website after it was built. Regrettably, this feature has been nothing but a mirage. Despite continuous attempts and requests, I have been unable to gain access to the promised backend login. It's as if The Web Design Corp took my money and vanished into thin air, leaving me with a dysfunctional website and an inability to make the necessary changes.
In my desperation to seek resolution, I involved legal counsel. My attorney sent a demand letter to The Web Design Corp, a communication that went unanswered for a significant period. Only after I reached out to inquire about the status of the demand letter did I receive a response. Shockingly, their reply laid the blame on me, asserting that the project was closed due to my alleged fault.
This entire experience has left me feeling deceived, taken advantage of, and utterly unsatisfied with the services provided by The Web Design Corp. The level of unprofessionalism, poor communication, and disregard for customer satisfaction displayed by this company is nothing short of astounding.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering The Web Design Corp for their web development needs to proceed with caution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking a reliable, professional, and ethical web design partner.”
“Web Design Corp. Warning. Do NOT do business with this company. I lost $2,800 dealing with these people. Huge mistake. Costly learning experience for me. Buyer be warned.”
“TOTAL SCAMMERS!
You have been warned!
They finally completed my website then a few weeks later they placed huge pop up blockers on it hoping I was dumb enough to pay them to make my site “ADA compliant”. When I called in and informed them I knew they had done it and I was going to file suit on them they blamed it on Google saying “the Google robots have hacked your site but we will remove it, but you should know the first fine is $75,000 if we don’t redo your site and make it ada compliant” which is all total lies for a site / business such as mine….they simply were trying to EXTORT more $ out of me and it was so obvious! After I called them out and told them I was filing suit against them they removed the pop ups immediately.
Funny, they can immediately remove something they supposedly didn’t put on my website huh?
Two days later they went in and totally corrupted my website and I have since hired another legitimate local American company to build me a new site.
They act as if they are located in the United States (they use remote shared office address anyone can pay for and have a address in Florida and California) but the IP addresses they used on some of my stuff are out of PAKISTAN. They give themselves American names like “Adam” and “Alex”…Yes, I have proof of this.
They operate with several different business names like “G media London” and “web design Corp” which is shady in itself and there is a reason! We have found at least 5 different names thus far.
SCAMMERS!
Dig deep and you’ll find out that almost every single good review you see is in fact fake and they even copy and paste these fake reviews to other review site platforms. This is why you will see word for word identical reviews on multiple different sites. FAKE!
You’ll also notice that all the sample websites they display on their home page are not actually real websites. You won’t see any domain names or live active links for a reason..,only screen shots of web pages in other languages.
SCAMMERS!
They built a horrible site for me at first, I saw it and literally laughed out loud. I called “Alex” as he calls himself and told him it looked like a 7 year old created the site.
I had them completely redo it and had to ABC them on what it should look like again after I had already done so over and over!
Do not hire these fake scammer crooks, you will undoubtedly regret the “cheap price” and be dealing with the same mess every other real review speaks about on here!
I have already spoken to several others that they have scammed and promised refunds if they would delete their reviews etc. This “company” will not get away with these extortion attempts and scams much longer.”
“Con artist always trying get you buy more services you will never own your domain and host they will cause your site you paid for a year to be down and say you need to add this feature do not deal with foreign entity it all a scam here cheap deals and services never good beware watch out for Alan Ben Trevor and the rest”
“There are so many of these semi fake off shore web development companies posing as real. Don’t be enticed by offers too good to be true. They normally are.”
“For anyone that doesn't know, the guy that started this company is Azhar Tayyabi. He lives in Gurnee, IL. He started this business in the state of Illinois. He also has a sister company in Texas. The office in Florida is a WorkSPACE office and he didn't bother to get a Foreign Registration in the state of Florida, which is required.
All operations, however, are conducted in Pakistan. This man has never bothered to register and pay the appropriate taxes to operate his so-called business. This is not the first time he has been involved in scam business operations either. He has had several in Illinois, including a gas station, prior to starting this sham web development company.
I feel like we need to post the truth about this guy, as he's cheating people out of money. Look up his business entity in Texas and Illinois. Then, report this man to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General. I don't know why he hasn't been arrested yet, as he has had questionable business dealings for years. All of the negative reviews are consistent with what he has done to other people. Report him. Don't let this man get away with his illegal business practices.”
“Don't work with those thieves.
It took them forever to finish the job.
They tried to charge me $700 for a simple domain (that I actually bought for $12)
They promised me to do 3 social media accounts, but never did.
They still owe me $300, which they promised me to refund but never did.
They didn't make my website presentable for cell phones. they wanted $500 for this service...
I have many more bad things to write about, I just don't have time to sit and write for the next 5 hours.
JUST DON'T WORK WITH THEM!”
