SCAM !! AVOID !! THEY PROMOTE FRAUDSTERS If I had to give tide stars, I would give less than 1 star, unfortunately, this is not the option. My money got deducted by some scam courier company from the account, when I approached them and said that it was a SCAM, I had not made any payment, they said they are looking into it. I have been chasing their customer support team since months, and everytime they come up with a same answer, we are looking into it. They clearly promote SCAMMERS and they are not willing to give my money back. I have given them all the evidences they asked, but since 3 months, they are only looking into the matter. AVOID TIDE, and go for the other lengthy process to open the bank account, but never TIDE..

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Tide Bank, and I must say that it has been the worst banking experience I've ever encountered. Here's a breakdown of my grievances: Lost Card and Unhelpful Response: After reporting my lost card, Tide Bank's response was far from satisfactory. When I discovered unauthorized transactions on my account, including a payment of £11, the bank was reluctant to assist me in recovering my money. Lack of Transaction Notifications: Unlike other banks that offer transaction notifications, Tide Bank does not provide this essential service. It's vital to receive immediate notifications for card payments to ensure security, and Tide's absence in this regard is concerning. No Direct Debit Notifications: Tide Bank also fails to inform customers about direct debit notifications. This lack of transparency can lead to financial surprises and disrupt budget management. Poor Customer Service: The customer service experience was nothing short of frustrating. When attempting to raise a complaint through their messaging system, I had to endure an excruciating wait of nearly 48 hours for a response. This level of inefficiency is unacceptable. Blocked Money Transfer: Tide Bank's system issues caused them to block a transfer from a company that had paid me for my work. This incident resulted in a two-day delay before I could access my hard-earned money. The explanation offered was simply that it was a system problem, which left me dissatisfied and inconvenienced. In conclusion, I strongly advise others to steer clear of Tide Bank. My experience with them has been nothing but frustrating, with a lack of support for lost cards, inadequate notifications, and abysmal customer service. Additionally, their system issues can result in substantial delays in accessing your funds. There are far better banking options available that prioritize customer satisfaction and security over Tide Bank's subpar service.

Opened a new business account a few weeks back, and they temporarily froze my account for no reason whatsoever! Holding all my funds, so I cannot pay my suppliers. They are impossible to speak too. What a mistake choosing this bank. Shocking customer service.

I am a small business owner and mother to 7 children, tide has paused my account for no reason, will not call me, the replies by the chat are copy and pasted scripts. Made a complaint which was upheld however still waiting for them to unpause my account. They have left me and my young children without access to money and unable to trade. Very very poor service! the Tide Bank can lock your account for very long time. You won't be able to do anything at all. The Tide Bank is the worst in UK. My business account locked for 9 day already. There are 7 questions about small transactions, something like what is your relationship with the Toolstation? I cannot pay wages, cannot pay to the suppliers. The chat conversations is like talking to the bot. No one can say how long it is going to last. Don't touch this crazy bank. I have sent them all the information regarding their pointless questions and after 9 days the bank account is still blocked. Their chat is just bot tirelessly repeating the same staff about some regulations. No one can give me any update on how it is going and when I can access my money. Avoid This "Tide Bank" as a plague. Any brainless person would be able to review 7 small transactions and connect them to the online suppliers or people I am paying the wages, Especially as those references available with any transactions and I have resupplied them immediately, just to be sure. AVOID!!! This is what I have this night - 35 days your business account blocked by the Tide Bank - just think... "We are getting in touch further to our previous email which acknowledged your complaint. Unfortunately, we’re continuing to investigate your concerns so are unable to issue our response at this time. Please be assured that we aim to resolve this matter within 15 business days of receipt of your complaint however in the event we’re unable to do so, we will provide a response within 35 working days. I had 2 business accounts with Tide and honestly it was the biggest regret of my entire life, my first company account got frozen whilst they conducted a review “following FCA guidelines” leaving me unable to receive money for weeks, I managed to open a new account for my company with Barclays (who are great) and then spent weeks begging tide to close my account down whilst they still took fees from me My second company account had a £20,000 invoice due to be paid from a client in the next day or two, Tide decided to freeze my account for a review on 3 small transactions from November last year, I explained how important it was for my invoice to be able to get paid in and they confirmed to me that no money will enter my account whilst the review takes place for the next 3-5 working days I begged and pleaded for them to unfreeze my account as I have staff and bills to pay out of the invoice, after 6 hours of messaging back and forth they made the decision to CLOSE MY ACCOUNT WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!!! Meaning my £20,000 invoice due will get rejected back to the client and the other £20,000 invoice I had pending through tide is also lost No matter your situation do not ever even contemplate opening a tide account, this is your urgent warning to avoid them now!!

TIDE IS PROPER DECEPTIVE SCAM AND ILLEGITIMATE. THEY WILL ROB/STEAL YOUR MONEY BY SUSPECIOULY CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNTS. THEY SELL YOUR DATA AND MISUSE IT. HIGH STREET BANKS AND OTHER BUSINESS DO NOT TRUST TRANSACTION WITH TIDE ACCOUNT. WE ARE TAKING LEGAL ACTION ABOUT THIS SCAM, MANIPUALTIVE, ILLEGITIMATE AND DECEPTIVE THEF. Same problem as Arkadiusz. Cannot access my account. Keep getting told by support it must be a problem with my phone/computer. Nonsense. I've tried other devices - same issue. Also, noticed QR code for logging on keeps switching. Doesn't seem right. In fact - nothing seems right with this crowd.

Tide.co should always be avoided as they are dishonest and deceptive. Their customer service is appallingly inadequate. It will be very tough to delete money from their site, but they will constantly pushing you to add more. My deposits were almost entirely lost. Thank goodness, I could utilize wor consultd to assist me in getting my money back from them.

No Access to business account Since YesterdayI can not access to the app and there is no other way to contact support team. Complete lack of communication. I have a problem to access to my accounts on the application with Tide. Since yesterday app frequently asking me to go through the verification process providing ID identification and face recording. I have verified all the details yesterday, however the access to the application occurs the same problem again and again today as yesterday. There is a problem to reach both my account Not having an access to my account, put me in a difficult situation with my customers and subcontractors. Could you please investigate an issue and resolve this issue as soon as possible and update about the situation.

My account was opened on the 20/09/2023. On the 22/09/23 Tide paused a payment I tried to make for £3000. I was asked 101 questions. Most of the questions they asked were the same questions they asked me during the account opening process. They asked me why a customer paid me £260. They asked me why I was paying £3000. I provided invoices etc. 3 days later they decided to let me use my account again. On the 28/09/23 I deposited some cash into my account at the post office & with funds already in my account, I attempted to pay a supplier £5200. They once again paused my account. This time they didn’t ask any questions but keep repeatedly telling me the account is under review. It has been 2 weeks already & its worrying me sick reading the other reviews on here. I am clearly not the only one. Every time I message I get an automated response from Tide. Tide have ruined my business within days. I have lost credibility in front of suppliers, customers & other associates. My sons first birthday in 2 days & I am unable to buy him anything because I was supposed to take my salary on the 30/09/23 but clearly they don’t care. This is criminal.

Horrible bank They blocked my business card and paused my access without any explanation. Send them numerous text no one replies and explain anything… Wouldn’t recommend to anyone not to trust this digital bank

If anything goes wrong they are absolutely horrendous to deal with. I was the victim of fraud and they were extremely unhelpful, very very slow to respond and then essentially just said too bad your money has gone and we won't refund it. I am going to complain to the Ombudsman about them. Note that they are actually not a bank but are a financial institution so are not bound by the same rules. By a long way Tide is the worst business that I have ever dealt with. They are nothing more the shysters.

Criminal. Froze my account for no reason Then asked for loads of info I supplied everything And then decided to close the account anyways Not been more than a month and they are not sending my remaining balance I dont know what to do Please someone help I need the money for my small business

I opened a business bank account with Tide in March 2023. We received our customer invoice payments into our account without issue for around 1 month, at which point Tide "temporarily paused" the account with a balance of £27k. This prevented any transactions from being made or received and halted all our cashflow. The business could not process refunds, could not pay its own invoices or suppliers and £27k is a large sum for a small business to have frozen. Tide cited regulatory checks and procedures that they were required to perform and requested supporting documentation, which was provided. It has now been 53 days and the account still remains "temporarily paused". I have complained to Tide's complaints department, who actually upheld the complaint and offered £100 in compensation, however the issue was not resolved and the account still remained paused;. I have now submitted a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service as I have nothing but unhelpful "I'm sorry we do not have an update" responses from Tide's Customer Service. If you are a small business, learn from our mistake and avoid Tide like the plague.

Before you consider using the company beware that they are not a bank! Even though they state on their website “BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT Ready for business” they aren’t! This is false advertising. They have frozen my account with no warning stopping money going in and out for 30 days for absolutely no reason at all! They don’t have a phone number and no one has responded to the chat in over 25 hours at this point. Do not use this service, they are not a bank and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

They stole my businessn account money. Kept asking for documentation. Thenblocked my account. Now wont even reply to my messages. Scammers. Can we take them to court? Or pay a visit in person to their offices?
