I originally booked a 14 day tour of Georgia through Tour Radar which was cancelled. A number of replacement tours were offered and the one that best fit was a 8 day tour. Because plane flights had already been booked, we had to book 5 days extra accommodation. The total cost of the replacement trip was about double what we would have paid for the original trip. Although Tour Radar are exceptional with their customer service and response to inquiries, I probably will not be using them again.

Hey Brian, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. We have taken a look into your booking and can see that the tour operator has had to withdraw your original tour. We understand how frustrating it is when the tour operator has to withdraw a tour. Looking forward to a trip, only to have the added stress of making alternative plans is a frustrating experience. However, even though this situation is out of our hands a marketplace, we are equipped to ease the frustration. Having said that, it looks like our Customer Support team were able to help you find a very similar tour that fits your plans almost perfectly! There seems to be a bit of a pricing difference, however, we are glad that we were able to line up alternative tour arrangements without having to change your original international flights! We thank you for your continued patience and thank you again for leaving such great feedback. Withdrawn tours are one of the biggest letdowns in the tourism industry. Luckily, we partner with tour operators all over the world and are ready to tackle such cases by finding alternative tours on your behalf. Also, these days, many operators do offer “Guaranteed Departures” which are not susceptible to being withdrawn. We have no doubt you’ll have a great time on your tour, and remember if there is anything we here at TourRadar can help you with, we are available by phone and online chat 24/7. Kind Regards, The TourRadar Team

Hi Antoine, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are very sorry to hear you had a negative booking experience. We can see that your Guatemalan operator did have a few issues throughout the booking process, which we deeply apologize about. We have now discussed with them and assisted in correcting the pricing issue to make sure this does not happen again in the future. Should you ever have any issue with an operator, you can contact the TourRadar customer support team at any point in time. We are available 24/7 over phone and live chat and are always happy to help. We will be getting in touch with you directly to find a suitable solution together. Kind Regards, The TourRadar Team

The operator was knowledgeable, helpful, and went out of her way to find out further information. The price is generally cheaper but with the same level of care.

Tour Radar staff are friendly and responsive. However, the information provided - before booking - contained critical misrepresentations. For example, the tour my wife and I selected listed an age range of 18-99, but after payment we learned that the typical age range on the tour is 18-45 and that the tour featured "night life". Then days later, we were told that travel insurance was required through a company the tour operator recommended. This should have been disclosed in the initial information because it represents an additional cost to the customer. Then my wife and I (who are both 72 years of age) learned that the insurance provider does not insure persons over age 70: SNAFU! With the right initial information, these problems could have been avoided.

Hello Gene, We are delighted to hear that we have been friendly and responsive to your booking-related questions. That being said, we do regret to hear that there has been some misrepresentation in our communication, as this was never our intention. To clarify, certain tour operators welcome all travellers who are 18 or over, but appeal largely to a younger demographic because of how the tour is run. For this reason, we inform travellers prior to confirmation about the style of tour offered by these particular tour operators. With respect to travel insurance, this is a requirement by many tour operators on our platform. We regret to hear that you have been directed to an insurance company that does not insure travellers in your age range and would like to reach out directly with the appropriate resources regarding this. Kind Regards, The TourRadar Team

Hi, I really have a very bad experience with you, initially I tried to cancel my tour due to a very personal situation Initaly you told me everything depends on G Adventures, and those are lies, becasue I called G Adventures and they told me you are the ones to decide My tour price is 664 and you are going to keep 500 dls for an spot that is not in high demand, you still have places And now the price your drop it to 582, what I am asking is at least match the price as you so proudly say I also asked to talk with someone else during the call but surprinsingly noone is available. Jeff the person who took my call just drop the call at the end I really wish you can be a little for fair on this Thank you

Hi there, We thank you for your feedback and sincerely regret to hear about your experience with TourRadar. When a traveler requests a cancellation, they and TourRadar are bound to the terms and conditions enforced by the operator, which may include cancellation fees. While TourRadar does not apply any additional cancellation fees, unfortunately, there were applicable operator fees when you requested to cancel your booking this close to departure. As per our correspondence, however, we can see that you made the decision to continue with your tour. Further to this, TourRadar cannot retrospectively apply a sales discount or price match after a tour has been confirmed. We can see that, with additional TourRadar savings applied, you have received the best price available at the time you made your booking. We also regret to hear your call dropped while you were speaking with one of our agents. We will endeavor to have one of our customer support team follow up with you personally in regards to your concerns. Kind Regards, The TourRadar Team

I was extremely happy with the service I received booking this tour. I had limited WiFi and had to call in to book. After my booking was confirmed everything happened very professionally. Timely responses to my emails. Pickup from the train station and hotel were prompt. This is my second time booking with Touradar.

Last week I paid a $200 deposit and $399 single supplement. After I had paid the deposit I was advised that I need to purchase a sleeping bag. As I am travelling for 4 weeks I do not wish to cart around a sleeping bag which will probably only used for two nights. Also the total cost of the tour with single supp is close to $2000 staying in 3-3.5 star hotels. I do not wish to outlay any more money. Had the information been provided BEFORE I paid the deposit, I would have chosen another tour. I have indicated via email that a sleeping bag should be provided or at least able to be hired and if not I wish to cancel this particular tour. Tourradar have advised me that should I cancel they will keep the $200 deposit. This is very bad business practice and highly unethical. Should you decide to keep my deposit I will proceed with legal action, as the additional expense was indicated to me AFTER I had paid the deposit. Booking number: 2465855. Robyn Britton

Hello Robyn, Thank you for your review. We absolutely understand your aversion to travelling with a sleeping bag given it's only recommended for one night and you'll be on the road for 4 weeks. However, this item is simply a recommended packing item and not a requirement. Blankets are provided for you for the one night you stay at the Bedouin Camp in Morocco, plus you're travelling in the summer, so the choice is yours. On any other tour which includes the unforgettable experience of camping overnight in the desert would have offered the same recommendation regarding your packing list. We encourage you to reconsider your request to cancel your tour. As you have correctly pointed out, the cancellation terms and conditions of your booking, as outlined by the tour operator, would mean loss of your deposit payment (these funds are not held by TourRadar). This is a wonderful tour you have booked and we can speak from our own experience, that Bedouin camps are well equipped. We've been in touch with you directly and hope our assurance might encourage you to reassess your decision moving forward. Regardless of what you decide, we remain here for you 24/7. Respectfully, The TourRadar Team

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review of your booking experience. We regret to hear that the cancellation process has frustrated you; however, cancellation terms and fees apply to all cancellation requests and can be found on our website and on every checkout page before processing your booking. We can see that the operator and a TourRadar customer service agent have been in touch and offered you a resolution to your complaint. Should you have any questions, we remain available to you 24/7 via live chat or call. Kind regards, TourRadar

Your booking process favors you in such a way it is impossible to cancel without losing your deposit. Should have booked through the actual tour operator. TourRadar I believe is kind of like Expedia?

Hello Thomas, Thank you for your review. TourRadar is indeed a marketplace, in fact, the biggest marketplace in the world for multi-day tours, where we offer our users the opportunity to search and book tours from more than 900 tour operators around the globe. We understand your disappointment regarding your loss of deposit, no-one likes to pay cancellation fees when having to cancel your tour is already disappointing enough. It's important to note though, that TourRadar does not charge any additional booking or cancellation fees on top of the fees outlined by the tour operator. The terms and conditions of your booking are dictated by the operator of your tour, and may vary from one operator to the next. Had you indeed booked this tour elsewhere, (even directly with the tour operator), not only would you have missed out on all the benefits TourRadar offers, but also, the cancellation fees associated with your booking cancellation would have been exactly the same. It may also help to note when booking future travel, that not unlike booking flights, a non-refundable deposit is very much an industry standard for tour operators. In your case, your deposit payment is able to be applied to a future booking with the same operator, which is great news! Hopefully, we'll have an opportunity to book you on this tour to your desired destination in the not too distant future (at a more suitable time for you). Thank you again for your feedback. We're available for you 24/7 should you have any questions, or like to discuss your deposit further. Sincerely, The TourRadar Team

Spent too many hours searching on the internet trying to find the escorted tour that covered what I wanted to do. Found more or less what I was looking for on TourRadar in about ten minutes. Had a chat with a member of the TourRadar Team who took about two minutes to come back with a match that was pretty much 'spot on'.

I came across tourradar by chance, when searching for information on tours of the Amalfi Coast in Italy. I found the same tour that I had been quoted a price by a travel agent with tourradar, except it was nearly $700 cheaper. I called tourradar and they confirmed the price was correct for the dates i had selected. Therefore, I did not hesitate and booked my friend and I on the tour during the Black Friday Sale. So far, the communication has been amazing and we are looking forward to heading off on the adventure next year.

I made reservations with Cassondra in Toronto on September 26th. She was good, cheerful and efficient. I got the itinerary the next day but it did not have the names and locations of the hotels. I would like to have a list to send to our relatives. I requested that upon making reservations and I am still waiting for it. Also, I e-mailed TourRadar on September 25, 2018 asking to help me reset my password and the link sent to me would not work. I would like to log on to refer travelers to you. The itineraries are corrupted also. I use Microsoft Outlet for e-mail because I do not want to go to AOL (e-mail provider) to put important accounts, etc. This is my 3rd tour with TourRadar and my husband's first. He is a seasoned traveler and I hope you do not disappoint him. Please send me the name and addresses of hotels that we will stay in in Delhi and Kathmandu. My husband and I want to see the reviews on them, too. Thank you for allowing me to review TourRadar. By the way, my first name is TERESITA my last name is DE GUZMAN and SANTOS is my middle name. Sincerely yours, Teresita S. De Guzman, R.N.

The contact person for our tour Shawn Jin is amazing. If you book a tour you should ask for him. He responds immediately, nights weekends etc. We needed to make some changes to the tour and he easily accommodated us. we had a lot of questions and Shawn was willing to research any question we had. He helped with airline tickets, phones, currency changes, tours. He was willing to go out of his way even before we booked the tour. We decided to go with tourradar because of Shawn. He is very knowledgeable and makes you feel that the tour will be wonderful. Thanks Shawn

I am a frequent traveler and I recognize and appreciate very much excellent service. This was provided recently by Tour Radar travel consultant Fin. He was professional, efficient, well informed and it was a pleasure to deal with him. I have been choosing between several companies to book my trip to Sicily this fall. The itinerary was similar but Fin was the one who made the difference.

Misleading. Confusing. Dishonorable. I booked a black Friday deal expecting a discount on the listed price. There wasno additional discount and the price was not lower than previously listed pricealthough you said the price was an already disoucnted price. After booking, I kept getting emails from you about completing booking of my tour. This was confusing because I thought I had already booked - i'd already been charged....had I not completed the process? This was also a problem because the price in some of the emails was less than I paid on the BF deal! You would not honor the lower price. I will not be checking your website again.

Hi Pamela, Thank you for your feedback. We hope you enjoyed your time in New Zealand. We have reviewed your booking and can confirm that you did receive a discount on your tour from our Black Friday sale that was ongoing during the time you confirmed your tour. This discount provided you with a lower price than provided by the tour operator directly. When booking through TourRadar you will always receive the best price available whether it's through our Member Savings or any ongoing promotion we have running. The email you received were reminders to complete important traveller information, that would be needed in order for the tour operator to complete your booking. Our team Customer Support team is available 24/7 by phone and live chat to help clarify any misunderstandings about emails or notifications we send you as part of the booking process. We can assure you, however, that everything was in order with your booking and sincerely apologise for the confusion during your booking process. Kind Regards, The TourRadar Team

The website wouldn't accept my booking. Tried live chat to contact tourradar but no answer except gmail saying thanks for using chat. Had to ring, on hold for 20 minutes then was on the phone for half an hour as discount was not correctly applied, then single supplement not added. Was assured all was ok. Next day tour operator emailed me saying i needed to pay a single supplement. Rung tourradar & was on hold for over 10 minutes, hopefully all fixed now but does not make me have any confidence in thier abilities.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. You've booked a wonderful tour to Italy with a local operator who has years of experience. We have no doubt you will have a wonderful time with them on tour! We're sorry to hear you've had troubles reaching our support team. We can see we missed you on one of your online chats while you were trying to book your tour, but unfortunately, there was a typo in your email address so we were unable to reach out or follow up with you. The message sent to confirm you accept the single supplement was indeed sent in error and we apologise for this as we can see you had already accepted this charge. We can assure you, however, that everything is in order with your booking and sincerely apologise for the confusion during your booking process. We look forward to offering you a better experience moving forward! Kind Regards, The TourRadar Team
