“Dog guard is a great fit but time consuming to assemble and install. Rubber boot protector does not fit properly against the side walls and sticks up where the shape changes”

“Great quality product let down by absolutely useless fitting instructions with no words , just poor quality graphics. Simple things like putting the company logos on the forward facing side would be beneficial. By far the biggest problem is the fastening points for the tensioners don't exist on the car! Making the product impossible to fit correctly. At the moment the dog guard will be returned to travall and I will purchase the cheaper vauxhall oem guard. So disappointed!”

“Great dog guard but doesn't fit with a Ford boot liner tray because of the rods. You end up having to drill holes in the liner therefore meaning it isn't waterproof.”

“The main reason for buying the travall dog guard was because I thought I could install a divider with it. This was not the case. The website under related products was misleading and showed a safety pack which included both items, but the divider only fitted later model cars, I am currently waiting. For this to be collected. I am v disappointed that I cannot have both items for my car and would have b”

“rry but it is with regret that i must complain about my recent experience regarding my purchase from yourselves. Order Focus Dog Guard your number 0000066449 First the positive, i found your website easy to use and complete with all that i needed to know and very simple and straight forward. I registard to buy and placed my order based on what i had seen with a view to further products for my other vehicles. The order process was simple and completed with no problem, and within minutes i had confirmation of my registration and order, latter the same day i had confirmation that my order had been picked dispatched. This was as you will know Tuesday 4th March, i paid for express delivery as my daughter needed for a weekend trip. Now the negative, my order never arrived on Wednesday, i personally was out of the office on Thursday fully expecting my order to be waiting for me on Friday it wasn't! Having provided my mobile number and email as requested with my order ( i can confirm that it is correct on your dispatch note ) i was surprised that no one had called me or emailed me at all. I used the UPS tracking link and it confirmed that they had my order and had tried to deliver on the 5th but couldn't because they didn't have the correct address! It confirms this again at the close of office on the 5th. The report then went on to show that UPS warehouse scanned my order early morning on both the 6th and the 7th but did nothing with it. I had my Parts Manager speak to the UPS Driver as Aston Martin use UPS to deliver our parts here daily and he confirmed that he had a parcel on his waggon one Wednesday but as it only had a name on it and the road, he had returned it to the depot, that same day. Again i can confirm that no one contacted me after you notification of dispatch on Tuesday. After various lengthy calls to the UPS office as i needed the guard for my daughters weekend, i was allowed to go to the UPS depot in Luton after 6pm to collect, nearly twenty miles away on a Friday evening through all the traffic not a happy couple of hours that i should have been subject to. I collected my parcel and it was purely address to: CAMPBELL, LEY HILL ROAD, BOVINGDON, HP3 0NW (hp3 0nw is the post code for eight company's on ley hill rd) My order and confirmed delivery address that i completed was; DEREK CAMPBELL, CHILTERN ASTON CENTRE, LEY HILL ROAD, BOVINGDON, HP3 0NW The box was damaged at one end. My guard was very slightly damaged at one end with the plastic end bung missing and minor paint damage. I fitted the unit and got my daughter with her dog one her way eventually about three hours late, this shouldn't have happened and is not right, and not what i paid for. One final note the product is excellent good quality manufacture and fitting, only real observation that your install instructions are incomplete and could do with improving. there are two bracing brackets that need to be attached, these are angled and handed. Your instructions don't say which way around or which way up they go and neither do any of the pictures. This is not helpful and vital information for some, the brackets shown on your installation are straight. All really good product spoilt by detail in delivery and instruction Derek Campbell”

“I bought a Travall dog guard for my Toyota Avensis because I was so impressed with the previous one I bought for my VW Golf. Firstly the fitting was much more complicated with the Avensis (the Golf just fitted behind the seats). But more annoying was the instruction leaflet for setting it up and fitting it. The diagrams did not show the front or back of the guard so I fitted the struts to the wrong side, if the diagram was more informative or showed more clearly how the actual guard fitted in the car I wouldn't have wasted 30 minutes screwing things on the wrong side then trying to fit it. Now that it is fitted it seems perfectly OK”

“Great product, fits really well in car. Well designed and nicely finished, arrived in time and well packed. Only reason for not 5 stars was that I sent an e-mail enquiry before ordering the product but got no response. So don't know how good customer service is, but ordered anyway and no need to contact c/s again.”

“DO NOT buy from this company. Firstly the guard is impossible to fit even though it was ordered for the specific model of car, and secondly despite many attempts to contact Travall to help with fitting (as the instructions are very limited) they never made contact. The worst online shopping experience I have ever had.”

“We do not know what the dog gaurd is like as we have not been able to get it. The delivery has not been completed and I am now expected to take time off work, I work in London, to drive 40 miles to Thatcham and go and collect it. I wish I had never bothered. Can I have a full refund please as I am not going to be able to collect it.”

“Wouldn't recommend for a rav4. my friend recommended travall as he has one for his passat which is solid. I have a 2011 rav4 and the dog guard just isn't quite wide enough...it doesn't sit flush into the window recesses and took several attempts to get it to remain steady and not fall on my dogs. definitely took alot longer than 15 mins to fit, more like 2 hours in total and additional spanners and socket sets.”

“From ordering to delivery,no problem,very easy assembly however for a custom fit dog guard for just over £100 I did expect a perfect fit . The guard itself is but the seat anchor clips/ threaded bolt were not long enough so I had to open up the hooked end in order to allow the threaded end to protrude through the sleeve to connect the hand grip nuts,but in the end it does the job very well.one more point,the bolt heads that can be seen from the exterior could do with covers to match the nice finish of the rest of the product.”

“The instructions were just about as bad as they could be. also it was impossible to tighten a particular screw due to the way the unit was constructed. It is fitted but only because we made the best of a bad job.”
