“Hi, the mattress is fine.....but if I am honest not quite soft enough. My old aching bones need just a little more softness. So maybe thinking about marketing something aimed at different age groups with maybe thicker and softer for us oldies. Otherwise very happy woth quality and materials”

“I purchased the pillow which is well constructed and offers two support options and has good environmental credentials, however, I find it bunches too much due to being loose latex flakes and doesn't offer the solid support I personally need.”

“I received a USED PRODUCT from Una! When I opened my order (order number UK36323) I was shocked to find numerous long black hair on both sides of the product. Apart from the hair it just did not look brand new. When I contacted Una about the issue, Nicole from their office ADMITTED that Una do re-sell their returned/used products!!! She said they sell their ‘refurbished’ products on ebay. I think this is outrageous so in the last 4 weeks I have checked couple of times on ebay and surprise….I could not find the item I returned. I’m pretty sure 1 month would have been long enough for them to put it on ebay but it is not the case. I’m pretty sure it will be or has been re-sold again as new. After they collected the product and after my ordeal I had to wait 3 weeks to get my refund. Throughout the whole refund process I haven’t received any form of notification or communicatiion either. Then when I asked, I had been told by Anja this is the standard lead time for the refunds. 2 weeks + 1 week depending on our bank. When I told her I find it too long for a refund she gave me a different explanation: the returned item got which delayed the process. Considering the fact that UNA is a small company as I was informed by Anja, it just seems to be very chaotic. Furthermore, I asked them for a link as I wanted to leave a review on their website, they sent me a review link. Once I sent the review I could not find it on their website. I had been told by Una it takes couple of days as it needs to be verified. After almost 2 weeks I asked them again and they frankly told me that my review won’t show on their website. Now I know why they mostly have 4 and 5 star reviews on their website. They simply select the good ones. Be aware!”

“Having recently returned from abroad and all my belongings "held captive" in storage I am in furnished rented accommodation on a very hard, solid mattress which is killing my back. I did some research online and came across Una. Being sceptical, I assumed the mattress topper I ordered would be returned within the 100 night trial, but, I can safely say that my back loves the topper and I am getting a good nights' sleep most nights, if not, it has nothing to do with the mattress... I am happy with my Una mattress topper.”

“I'm very pleased with my new mattress. My husband weighs 19 stone and I weigh 9 – the new mattress supports us both perfectly with no rolling for me. Also no trampoline effect for me when my husband decided to switch position! The latex seems to absorb the sound of his snoring somewhat! Very comfortable. Feels luxurious to lie on. Love it.”

“We ordered a pillow as I have long had problems with my neck and I read that your pillows are latex rather than feathers. Using the old fairy tale, Goldilocks, as a reference, many pillows were either too hard or too soft, and some, such as memory foam, were too hot! The Una pillow, once you have got used to it, is just right.”

“Very lackadaisical service I'm giving three stars because the mattress itself is comfortable and well made, but the customer service is very inadequate. I was told the mattress would arrive in 4 weeks so after 6 weeks I rang . It took numerous phone calls and chat conversations. Each time staff assured me the mattress would arrive soon. After more than 11 weeks wait it eventually arrived, but not all on the same day. Some of the packaging was overstuffed and burst. There were no directions about assembling the mattress and I had to search online for them. After all the delays the staff offered me a free pillow as compensation. That was 5 weeks ago, and surprise surprise, no pillow has arrived.”

Thank you for taking your time to review us. I'm sorry you felt you received a below average service. We had a lot of obstacles with delays in our production which really affected your order. I can see it took a lot longer than usual. We changed our production site at the start of the year and this created a lot of unforeseen issues. “The 160cm double mattress comes in two half of 80cm with a light and thin connecting layer on top. The cover is not tight enough to hold both sides tightly and the system doesn't work very well unless the bed frame is deep enough to keep all of the layers in place. The fact that each latex piece is heavy as well as moves, adds extra difficulties to making the bed. The connecting top layer is too thin to compensate for the space between the sides as a result of all the layers not staying in place. In principle this mattress should work well but in practice it doesn't because latex plus graphite ( the "natural" fire retardant used in latex) makes everything so so heavy, difficult to align inside the cover and the cover itself doesn't keep the various sections tightly snugged. As a mainly front sleeper I would say that is is also slightly too soft despite the fact that is says on the website that it can be made into a firm mattress it doesn't really”

The cover has extra strong sides to keep the adjustable layers nicely in place so we'd love to offer you a replacement cover as it seems its size was not quite perfectly sewn. “The mattress is very comfortable and to make it softer I have 2 extra layers, one being a reversible sheepskin for the winter and the cotton reverse for summer. It is everything I wanted in my new mattress to replace a similar one brought from Canada 20 years ago. Thanks”

“I have to say that I like the mattress, it is comfortable and I used to sleep on a firm sprung mattress but I found that the firm side of UNA was too firm for me, now I sleep with the soft side on top and I love it. The only thing is that it is very heavy, I have an ottoman bed and it is a bit hard to lift the frame with the mattress, but manageable. I would buy it again though. I sleep well!”

“Much nicer than a memory foam mattress, but still a little firmer than my preference, even at the softest configuration. Strangely, the layered pads varied in length by up 20 cm. I decided to return the mattress and that's the part I was least happy with. The pads arrive vacuum-packed and machine-rolled with hardly any space to spare, but you're required to repack them into the same boxes, which was near impossible.”

Thanks for your feedback. All organic foam layers are the same length as they are made in steel moulds. the natural latex layers are sometimes pulled too much or not fully between the other layers when unrolling the layers into the cover making one layer seem longer than the other so you may have missed that. We do not vacuum the layers only remove the excess air but yes you are correct that it does require a bit of effort to roll and re-insert the layers into the box but that is then also the only effort required of customers who wish to return and takes around 20 minutes. “We bought a superking una mattress - it's organic (GOTS and GOLS certified) and it comes with 3 layers per side (a tolla of 6 layers) which allows you to customize the hardness. We were mainly looking for an organic mattress. At first, it seemed like the fact that the mattress is of customize-able hardness is not too important. However, given I weight about 90kg and my partner is about 60kg it was really useful to have a customize-able mattress. On my side, even the hardest configuration felt like being too soft, but my problem was solve really nicely. I have spoken to customer service online and got to replace the soft layer for a firm layer (for free) with which I have managed to achieve a perfect hardness for me (with very good support, but just enough give at the surface not to crush the muscles - a medium layer on the top and 2 firm layers underneath). I would definitely recommend for the following reasons: 1) organic - this was very important to us - and this comes with a proper certificate, they go around the fire retardancy issues by using graphite, which of course is not PERFECT, but it's THE BEST you can do with the current (stupid) law! 2) customize-ability - this was really useful to have. 3) good customer support For us una was a success story! and we would definitely recommend to all our friends. I would not be able to sleep on my OLD, toxic and uncomfortable mattress anymore even if I got paid! will definitely stick to Una for a long while now!”

“We've had our two mattresses for several months now and we are as pleased with them now as when they first arrived. Very comfortable! Although one of the mattresses we received was incorrect, the company replaced it with great speed and courtesy.”
