Ordered lavender plants via email. Delivery supposed to be within a week. Over 2 weeks later & no delivery & no communication. Very poor.

Dreadful service. They change delivery dates after receiving the order but don’t send a notification of the change. You have to chase and turns out the reason is the plants aren’t big enough so they are continuing to grow them before sending out. Surely the answer is to charge for smaller plants and we can grow them on? I ordered in March based on what they said they’d have available for plants better to plant early spring. I wasn’t planning to wait from Feb to May for them to grow them on. Email to customer care bounced saying they couldn’t receive email from my email provider. Customer care rep insisted they didn’t have a problem with their email - other reviews indicate other people have had email problems with them. I finally cancelled the order and won’t be ordering from them again. Glad I paid by paypal

why is this company allowed to trade! They are thieves, frauds and scammers. They immediately take your money and do not deliver. They do not reply to emails they do not fulfil their duty. The police need to investigate this. As with everybody else they took £39.99 from me 2nd Feb. It is now 3rd April. Heard nothing and received nothing. In the hands of Paypal to get money back but as others before me I am reporting them to Trading Standards.

Took all the money for the order out of my bank straight away, 3 tomato plants turned up weeks later, one went straight in the bin, the other 2 were just about rescuable. They were boen dry, and in a terrible state. I am still waiting on 30 marigolds i ordered at the same time (probably about 2 + months ago now). No response to an email i sent 4 weeks ago. Absolute joke. Save your time, money and effort, don't use these robbing bunch of so and so's.

Just received a buddleja I ordered months ago 1st problem was with couriers they use Hermes have no contact details at all for you to arrange a missed delivery pickup hence it took 5 days for me to receive the item which was being transported upside down! So one malformed dehydrated yellowish plant was unpacked whether it survives in the long term who knows. Emailed Van Meuwan with my concerns part from the automated email response no reply whatsoever so safe to say I won't be using them again.

The WORST plants I have ever received in 15 years of proffesional gardening. How they are continuing to trade in this manner is beyond me. First order, poorly packaged and therefore 60% of stems snapped and the rest bent and in poor condition. Second order, yellow dried out cleomes thin and stunted growth, very poor quality growing. 24 pack rudbeckia had 3 plants with leaves on and the rest had been dead weeks BEFORE they had been sent out. Third order, Not a chance!!! I feel incredibly annoyed that they sent such poor plants and wasted my time on the phone to customer services on hold(25 mins) whilst their automated voice was bragging about their "proffesional hints and tips" that I could get from them on the website. Thanks, but I think I'd rather get advice from my 2 year old.

Ten pounds for hellebor witer bells in 5cm pot .local garden centre 7.99 in 3 litre pot .this company is a disgrage dont deal with them.

I've had 4 plants so far from Van Meuwen and all were perfect nothing wrong with any of them all planted and have doubled in size. If you read the description before you buy it tells you when the plants will get to you so there is no point people moaning about plants taking a long time to come. You don't want to wait don't buy from here you can't moan and make excuses that you didn't know the plants took a long time to come when it's on the description.

We have used Van Meuwen in the past with no problem. This time, bare root roses were delivered by post four days after posting and arrived in a dreadful state - some may survive, others won't. The date stamp specifically said it was a 2 day delivery but it took 4. I emailed on two occasions and got a pro forma reply, I rang twice and hung on for 20 minutes but no response. The fault probably lies with their carrier but Van Meuwen, who contracted them, is obviously taking no responsibility. We shall be taking this further, We will not be using them again and have warned others of the risk they take.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE TO FIND OUT WHEN MY PLANTS WOULD BE DELIVERED AS THEY ARE 2 MONTHS LATE, I CANNOT GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE AND NO ONE WILL REPLY TO AN EMAIL. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS COMPANY THEY MAKE THERE MONEY FROM PREMIUM RATE PHONE CALLS FROM IRATE CUSTOMERS. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN

I ordered and paid for a plant over a week ago for a Bithday present, it said in the advert they delivered immediately, I have heard nothing, not even an email to say thank you for your order, I have phoned and was left for ages hanging on the line, never did get through to talk to anyone, doesn't fill me with confidence, I shall be writing to the Daily Mail l who carried the advertisement if I don't hear by tomorrow.

I placed an order for spring flowering daffodils during early september for delivery and planting in the correct month of october,I would have thought that this was a simple transactionbut as of 13 november the daffodils have still not been delivered and my garden has become waterlogged.However they had no problem taking the money from my account 4days after the order was placed Kenneth Hirst

What an appalling company this is. It is no more theft that they take your money and do not supply the goods, surely they should be in court and made to return all the money they have taken from so many people. Avoid Van Meuwen (Thomas Morgan) they rip you off, and just don't care.

Ordered in March and heard nothing until June saying delivery end of June thought this was good as I was going on holiday. came back on 14th and a leaflet was in post? Went online and it said order completed! no sign of plants or delivery. Have tried three times to contact customer care and have received no contact whatsoever. Do not use this company. If I had gone onto this site before I would not have used them.

Bought two standard Magnolias back in February planted as per instructions one is ok but other is dead no signs of life I accept this can happen so I E Mailed three times not even. bothered to reply I think this is very bad service from. a established company and would not use them again

I ordered 5 very rare and expensive begonias this year as a treat. I planted them and it turns out that they are the very common cheap ones that you can buy in most shops/ supermarkets. I e-mailed them and to date have never received a reply. I will never buy from them again and would advise everyone else to avoid them too.

I bought new guinea impatien plug plants in the spring, they arrived in very poor dry condition. Despite imediate potting up and soaking in shaded greenhouse most died. I emailed customer care twice, they responded to say that the customer care was very busy ( no wonder) and they would respond later! I am still waiting its now July 31st. Steve E.
