Watch out with these guys. We are just about to start legal proceedings to recover funds for an engine we purchased from them which was the wrong one so it was returned at our own cost. Its been a month and Vaux Spares Ltd have not refunded a penny despite many requests.

Avoid this company at all cost I placed an order with this company for a corsa Vxr engine costing £1200 pound they said it would be delivered 3 days later I waited then aloud another 2 days because it was a bank holiday I rang them back and it’s just excuses after excuses about 3 weeks later I asked for my refund then all of a sudden they didn’t want to be nice any more I kept ringing every day and they kept saying u have to wait about 3 days later I rang again and they said they put the wrong details in in the end I had to go threw my bank to get my refund so my bank will be getting it off of them the only thing they were quick at doing was taking my money

Absolutely shocking untrustworthy behaviour. Avoid these scammers at ALL COSTS. I have been waiting for months now for a £2400 refund on an engine which was the WRONG UNIT. It also arrived in very bad shape. These guys are cowboys, absolutely disgusting service. I am now calling them on a daily basis in an attempt to get my money back. They have given me excuse after excuse about why we don't have the money in our bank yet, and now they won't even answer the phone. The minute we ran into problems with the engine they stopped answering emails completely (Terry, complete coward), and I had to switch to calling them which is when the excuses began. The guy that answers the phone is a cocky and very unhelpful guy, and the posh sounding man in 'accounts' will keep telling you 'oh there's been a problem with the bank, it'll be in within 48 hours', or 'oh the transfer failed due to incorrect banking details, I'll put it back through for you now', or whatever else. Funnily enough they managed to get our card details right when they initially took our money...... The world of recon engines and used parts is a MINEFIELD, and I would highly recommend that you're better off selling the car as salvage or using somebody on a personal recommendation. This is quite possibly the worst and most cowardly, deceitful company that I have ever used, and it looks like we'll have to take legal action to get our money back, which won't be hard as they have admitted fault, so I'm not sure why they seem set on getting a CCJ from us in the process? Weird way to operate if you ask me. Please folks, anybody considering using these cowboys, save yourself the headache and lost time/money. More than happy to back this review up with evidence if it helps just one person keep hold of their hard-earned!

BUYER AWARE!! - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CON COMPANY!! DO NOT USE!! DO NOT USE!! DO NOT USE!! Would give 0 stars but not an option. Bought an engine from them for about £1200 after getting them to confirm by email it was the right engine (A17DTR) i wanted and they sent an older model engine with different code (Z17DTR) which i can get for £500 locally and they said it is the same as the one i originally ordered and will fit but i contacted local vauxhall dealer who said it won't fit. VAUX SPARES said that vauxhall are wrong and dont know what they are talking about 😂. Luckily i checked the engine and code before it came off the delivery truck so it was a straight refusal and not left to me to send it back. Paid for it on credit card so i was covered if something went wrong like it done. Waited 2 weeks for refund which still haven't received too date so the bank have refunded me and are chasing CON ARTISTS VAUX SPARES for the money. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS CON COMPANY AS POSSIBLE

Ordered an engine 1/02/2022 for £3900 engine was damaged prior to delivery, told me a refund was sent on the 08/02/2022, waited a week and nothing so called again, was told it had been processed, another week passed and nothing, then spoke to Micheal (accountant), he told me he had inputted the security code incorrectly and would sort, fast forward to today and still nothing, spoke to the "accountant" again who told me the same story, he'd obviously forgot he'd already used this excuse. Constantly promised call backs and emails which never happen. It is blatantly obvious they use delaying tactics on your refund. I have escalated this to Barclaycard fraud as well as Cambridgeshire trading standards i will happily remove if i am proved wromg

Never received the engine I paid for, each time I rang got lie after lie, it’s on its way bla bla, never received it. Was then told a Refund had been issued 8 weeks later still nothing. The staff are all Rude and appear to be trained the same way, to lie..!!! There is zero customer service they like a good argument. I had to contact my bank to do a charge back to get my money back or I dare say I would still be chasing these incompetent people now. Give someone else your money these are con men..!!! I would give zero stars if I could.

One star is generous. I purchased an engine from them in Feb 2020. They delivered wrong engine to my garage. They collected this and then never sent the correct engine. Court action ongoing. Their story is they never got the initial engine back. Hard to believe since their courier would be only people who knew where and what to collect. Impossible to speak to owner and always on voicemail or unavailable. My personal experience is bad and would not recommend.

Paid £1600 for an engine to be fobbed off story after story and fake tracking numbers and companies. Every employee from this company is a liar, taught to blag poor people who handed lots of money over to get ripped off. It’s a disgusting this company is allowed to trade. I will be reporting to who ever I can to stop these CON MEN

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Absolute bunch of crooks!!! Lie after lie after lie..... Took the best part of 6 weeks to get my money back (over £400) for an engine they never delivered. Apparently refunds can only be issued by the accountant on a Saturday morning, and it’s such a shame he’s so often late or on lunch. Michael and Douglas are the owners so if ever you need advice on how to scam, lie or come up with every excuse in the book as to why you’re not getting your money back they are the people to speak to. DO NOT USE!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHEATS AND THIEVES We are a very large business. We are currently taking Vaux Spares to court for non-delivery of a £5k engine, that with hindsight stupidly paid them for in advance of delivery by bank transfer in August 22. Vaux Spares are as many, many posters state are charlatans and must not be trusted. I notice from other posters that when buying engines in particular there appears to be a common theme. Large remittances are made, only then not receive the engines or if they do, they are damaged. Then the fun starts then. They will then lie and lie and lie and if you don’t give up promise you a refund that never materialise. Just more lies. But now be warned when you think you have seen everything, unbelievably so they are prepared to even lie to a court providing no proof of what they are saying. Our experience:- We buy an engine, pay for it, promised it will be delivered in 3 days, only for it not to arrive. We telephone Moses only to be told we held back sending it out due to the bank holiday weekend as we have had parts damaged in transit before. Not a good start and in hindsight an immediate red flag. When told this we could not understand why a bank holiday should make any difference as to whether a part gets lost, damaged or otherwise but hey ho he send he would send it out that day. The first lie. Well after many weeks of chasing them by phone and email only to be fobbed off with excuse after excuse, we were told that the engine had fallen off the pallet at the couriers, was damaged and was being returned to them. By this time we believed that there was probably no engine in the first place, but was still prepared to give them the remote benefit of doubt and allow them to redeem themselves. We asked for a refund and kept being given the runaround. After over 30 calls and emails and discovering many negative reviews, we decided to issue a moneyclaim. Unbelievably Vaux-Spares filed a defence and counterclaim alleging we had received the engine and stripped it of ancillary parts. A blatant lie! Of course no proof of delivery to us, return to them, has ever been furnished, so be aware that not only are they prepared to lie to you but it seems they are prepared to lie to the court. The owner of Vaux Spares, Ray, is an argumentative, unsavoury individual that you cannot discuss anything with, as he is only interested in his own self importance -he is just a really horrible man that obviously enjoys this ruthless existence. My accounts department trusted them and paid upfront by bank transfer on a pro-forma. A VAT invoice was never issued. Had we paid by credit card I would have simply initiated a chargeback and black listed them as a supplier, but you live and learn. I have been for sometime thinking as to whether or not I should warn others of our experience but it is evident from the posts on here and other sites that Vaux Spares are deceitful and are running some kind of racket to fleece innocent individuals and businesses. After the court case it is my intention to contact the HMRC and Trading Standards, as with a likely judgement in my hand if will be much easier to authenticate our experience and hopefully get them to investigate Vaux.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE LIARS. I bought an engine and paid £50 for delivery in 5 business days. Its now 3 weeks and no engine has arrived. I've called every day for 2 weeks and all I get is lies and excuses. Its always someone's else's fault apparently. These clowns take no responsibility for their disgraceful service. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.
