Misleading scam. Sold me “access” to all of the Eiffle tower floors. What they didn’t mention except at the very bottom of the email was that it was a tour guide. The “ticket” I purchased was for 7:30 but the fine print told me to collect my ticket at 7pm. I wound up missing the sunset on the Eiffel tower which I was really looking forward to. I wouldn’t up buying directly to all floors and it only cost €30. They refused to refund me so I’ll be disputing this with my bank.

We booked a tour of the Sistine chapel and St. Peter’s Bascilica Thursday night. The next day we spoke with the Tour company that morning, showed up 45 minutes early and no one told us until we were on the tour that St Peter’s was closing at 1230 for Good Friday. One would think this would be common knowledge years in advance. They claim they found out the Thurs day morning, still before we booked and paid for our tour. The tour company and Viator totally deny any wrong doing when they only provided half the tour paid for and falsely advertised.

If Viator don’t want their ratings to go down, I would suggest they remove the company name The company Star Blue Catamaran in Cancun from offering tours. We travel a lot and this has been by far the WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!! I wrote viator my complaint, they said unfortunately they could not give me a refund. I asked for a supervisor and have not been able to get one. First of all, we had to wait outside in the heat for our driver to arrive thirty minutes late to pick us up for the excursion. The tour operator was unresponsive when I messaged them, and the phone was disconnected when I tried to contact. Furthermore, the driver did not apologize for being late when he arrived. In addition, he pulled over to the side of the road to use his phone and stopped to take films. We were then informed that we could not snorkel after the boat had sailed away after we arrived at the boat. We mostly booked for snorkeling, thus this was a tremendous annoyance. Additionally, there was a cost associated with reserving the coral reefs. yet we didn't get to see any reefs or be near any. I feel as if they waited to take our money first and sail off so that we couldn't try to cancel and get our money back. Another thing I noticed is that the music was not diverse at all. They have a lot of tourism going on so it was weird how they only played one genre the entire time. No one even wanted to dance or sing. Then, when we docked to eat we were told to be ready by 1:20pm. We had just docked at 12:20pm. Between docking late and having to walk to the lunch place we only had about 30-45 min to eat and use the bathroom. When my group walked back to the boat we were told that it's actually 1:40pm and to find something to do smh. Also, when we went shopping one of the workers said they would charge my friend $35; however, they charged her 700 pesos which is actually closer to $42. When she tried to tell them, they ignored her and still took her money. Lastly, on the way back our guide told us that our transportation was waiting for us. It was not. We got there and there was no one waiting. The guide then told us that it was actually a 5 minute wait. 5 minutes turned into 10, and then 20, and then an hour. Again, there was no apology for this. One of the families sharing the van had a baby who was obviously upset and hot and tired of waiting. Overall, if I could give this experience 0 stars I would. I hope that the customer service team takes note of my comments and kindly decide to issue a refund. I'm not happy at all and don't feel comfortable booking on trip advisor or viator if they just let any company have a booking page.

DO NOT USE VIATOR. Absolutely awful. Use GetYourGuide for the same trip as they are much more reliable and have a decent customer service team. I booked a day trip to Casablanca from Marrakech. It was advertised as hotel pick up but since I knew my hotel was a distance from the center of Marrakech I called the number on this advert to find out if pickup from my hotel was at all possible- I knew I wouldn't be able to make it into the center of Marrakech for this time in the morning. The Viator man on the phone repeatedly assured me that pickup was possible from my hotel and I even joked with him saying I was surprised as it was so far out. He took payment over the phone and my excursion was booked with pickup from my hotel. The night before our excursion I still hadn't heard from anyone regarding our trip so I messaged them and at about 9pm they replied and they said my hotel was too far so I would have to meet them in the center of Marrakech. I politely explained that that wouldn't be possible and that I had informed someone of this issue previously before booking. They said I could pay DOUBLE what I had already paid and be picked up from my hotel. I explained that that wasn't the arrangement and that was unfair considering I was given explicit information that I was able to be picked up from my hotel for no extra costs. After a LOT of back and forth, messaging two different numbers and stressing on my holiday until about 11pm I finally got an email confirmation about my request for a refund. I was woken at 7am by multiple telephone calls from my tour operator asking why I wasn't at the pickup location. I explained the entire situation AGAIN. I finally got confirmation that I could have HALF of my payment back (they rejected my full refund request stating it was my fault I didn't accept their compromise offer of paying double the cost???). I have now been messaging 3 different numbers for 3 days of my holiday just trying to get my money back for a trip I never got to take through no fault of my own. Not only did I miss out on this trip because of terrible customer service but ever since this ordeal I have received no support and everyone has been really dismissive and blaming me for this issue when I went out of my way to prevent any miscommunication. Viator will likely provide a genetic response to this comment but I assure you this situation isn't being sorted and I have been told "there's nothing more than can be done". Awful, feel robbed. I booked 2 trips with GetYourGuide and they have been great so I recommend them for this same trip. Thanks for reading.

DO NOT BUY DISNEYLAND PARIS TICKETS FROM VIATOR! I bought tickets to Disneyland Paris. We arrived one hour early to ensure front-of-line access when the gates opened. We were denied entry at the turnstiles with our Viator tickets and spent one hour after the gates opened resolving the issue at the Disneyland ticket booth. We ended up buying a new set of tickets directly from Disneyland Paris and were told this was a COMMON PROBLEM WITH VIATOR TICKETS! As a result of missing the "golden hour," we ended up spending an additional $500 on Disney Premier (aka Fast Pass) to make up for the loss of time and opportunity. DO NOT BUY DISNEYLAND PARIS TICKETS FROM VIATOR!

Horrible customer service in Phillipines or another country they backed the vendor on a cancellation in Houston cannot Res h anyone in the USA and wasted an hour of the vacation , They charged me $124 for a tour that left earlier than scheduled it was suppose to leave at 11a . I will never book with them again and they double book you now I am fighting to get my money back or even a credit . I will report them to better business bureau and consumer protection agency It is a nightmare on the app and niw struggling for hours trying to talk to people with no authority on another country . This is a horrible 3rd party marketing site for vendors who Pay th snd is not consumer based . You might as well look at the tour operator they use snd book direct with them not VIATOR , I will NOT use them again a total waste of timeand rip off

The tour tickets showed tour time is 6:30am, viator threw us away in pickup site before 6:27am, (this only I told them we were there at 6:28 for sure, so they made up their car left at 6:27am) and counting us as no showing !!! Viator charged our full tour fee $431.96 from my credit card without discussion and investigation right way. Viator tour operator ignored all my request but money payment! The cheeky Kiwi travel in Auckland NZ owner Mark cut my phone 5 times and insisted punishing us to pay $431.96 because he has a evidence the e-mail I made on April 7, but skipped all my emails I sent on April 10, he knew he represented Viator who guarantee 24 hours customer service but Mark had closed his office going home sleep and ignoring all his king customer’s requests. Mark made Viator 24 hours customer service became junk and scam!! My T-Mobile phone statement shows their tour operator never call me once, but Mark said his operator called my both phone numbers( one is they made wrong number 48, one is my right phone number) I have my Viator account for years, my phone number always the same, Mark got my phone number wrong by his irresponsiblity and carelessness. I e-mailed them twice asking Mark to make my phone number correction. But they called wrong number only. The cheeky kiwi in NZ owner Mark is such dishonest and irresponsible and unprofessional tour operator who not only cut my phone call 5 times, but also he insulted me a woman so badly, I cried few hours for his insulation. When he responded my review on Viator website, he lied again “we were very late “, we showed up before our tour tickets time 6:30am, we were not late, we were on time! But why Mark tried distracting people’s attention? Why Mark made such false statements? He made excuses about other people waiting, so he had to leave? This was only a small group tour( one of Viator e-mail showed private tour). I was a tour guide before, I knew there is a law enforcement about tour customer service which is no less than 10 minutes waiting and no longer than 30 minutes waiting. So from 6:20am-6:27 was less than 10 minutes, Viator tour violated law! We got tough break meet such irresponsible tour operators! Viator brought us such painful experiences!! We came all the way from Los Angeles to Auckland for this tour, but Mark ruined our trip, our mood. I doubt he did all 3 fatal mistakes purposely, because Mark could keep whole $431.96 without paying our entrances tickets and offering us any service! Woo, so greedy and horrible, unbelievable!! Products used: Viator Service Value Shipping Returns Quality Show less Comments (0) Viator charged my credit card $431.96 without giving us this tour by their mistakes, horrible! Viator didn't respond my latest request but only responded my payment question in 4/11 morning! Viator only followed my 4/7 email, ignored my 4/10 email? If a person died after 4/7 email, Viator had to follow his 4/7 email and charge him full money. Mark who is the owner running Cheeky KiWi Company in Auckland NZ can't excuse about his office closed at 7pm but My request made 7:45pm because he represent Viator who promise 24 hour customer support, we can cancel 24 hour before tour starts, this 24 hour customer support is in 24 hours before tour starts , Viator/Cheeky Kiwi travel ruined Viator reputation!! We hate you so much

I m Dr. Dilip, dated on 15th Nov 2022 i booked n paid for helicopter ride, but my doctor told to cancel it as i hv heart issue n therefore; i hv cancelled it witin 50 min... Informed to Viator, got d cancellation email. But till today i didn't received any refund, only promises, this s very bad experience.They just advertise full refund and all but infact de don't. So i would request to all be away from Viator n der falls advertisement.

Weirdest company ever. They took money and cancelled the trip. Now texting me that they are not responsible for this. So who is? Will never even use this company again. And don’t recommend you! They took 170$ and disappeared. Before they confirmed my trip, next day cancelled it. Fraud!!!

We booked 3 tours. One cancelled, one left us behind and the third was terrible. I posted a review of the tour online and it does not show. Seems Viator and Tripadvisor are hiding poor reviews.

I was sent emails Saying here are your tickets but when I opened them on day , it said I had to collect from another place. We went there and were told we were too late (40 mins) to collect. I have walking difficulties . I spent £50 on fast track into Vatican museums and there wasn’t actually a queue at 10am Monday August 2022. They refuse to refund me. Other reputable firms email tickets without need to go to another company’s office to collect or have someone outside the attraction. And charge so much extra . The other company’s office was hot busy a long queue and no disabled access - down steps

We booked a bicycle tour in Amsterdam with Viator. You could choose the language and we chose 'English'. When we arrived at the tour company, there was only a tour in Spanish that day. We don't speak Spanish, so couldn't do the tour. The company told us to contact Viator to get a refund, which we did. Now Viator claims there was nothing wrong with their website, because they 'investigated' it. The title of the product said bike tour SPA so we should have known that is was in Spanish because SPA stands for Spanish. How should we know that it stands for Spanish if they don't specify it and give you the option to chose the tour language. On our voucher it clearly stated 'guide language: English'. So how can they claim they made no error? We contacted the bike company again and they also claim the error is clear and made by Viator. So they won't give us a refund either and they won't help us with contacting Viator and support us. Conclusio: we paid 154 euro for nothing. Viator doesn't help people when something goes wrong. I'll never use it again and will advise everyone not to use Viator.

Booked tickets for Parthenon, could never download our tickets, kept getting error messages and when I checked another page it said we have no tours scheduled “past or present”. After 45 minutes of trying in the Athens heat and getting further back in the line I broke down and bought 2 tickets at the box office for 40 euros. After contacting “customer support” I was told that I was not entitled to a refund because they emailed our tickets even I sent them screenshots of the error messages. I asked 5 times “we’re our tickets used at all?”…they would never answer our question. I will never use this company again, never received our tickets and they charged $57 for something I bought on site for a third less and only waited behind one person. All I asked for was a refund of our $57 OR, the 40 euros I spent for replacement tickets…and never did answer if our original tickets had been used at all. They did offer us replacement tickets for another at another time, unfortunately we were 100 miles gone on to our next cruise stop.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Went on live chat and spent alot of time chatting with agent, looking to book Warner brothers studios, 3 adults, 3 children, told him 7th July, he gave me price 670 euros, we asked for help as we wanted to make sure we booked right tour. Agent sent me payment link, I presumed after long chat, he had input date we discussed, I input my card details, pay, see email. With 1 wk to go to trip, we went to print everything for trip. To my horror it was booked for 7th February gone. I rang, really upset, twice, dpokd to 2 nice agents, email sent, 3 days later, we were told we are treated as no shows. At this stage it was really hard to get Harry Potter again with a different company. It cost us another 850.00, so 1520 euros for Harry Potter, but as I had explained this was the reason we booked flights 15 months ago. Really want to stop anyone else going through this, we were lucky to be able to book again, paying a premium.we could not tell our children we weren't going. Really upsetting 😡

The tour company Viator should have informed customers the tour will only take you to Discover Center, not including the glacier ahead of time. There is very limited cell phone signal. Our family of three booked the “Columbia Icefield Tour including the Glacier Skywalk from Calgary” from Viator.com. When we arrived at the pickup location Delta Downtown Hotel, tour guide Mark informed us that the tour includes Discovery Center but not the Glacier. However, he offered no help on how to purchase additional ticket to the Glacier. When we were searching for the ticket to the Glacier on the road, he told us the cell phone signal would go out in few minutes. My family were in a hurry to buy online but were unable to complete transaction before signal went out. When we arrived at the center, he asked us to buy Skywalk ticket only (the ticket was sold in either a combo of Glacier and Skywalk or Skywalk only) because we must return by 3 pm. We were not happy but we listened to him. When we returned to parking lot at 3 pm, we found Mark was looking for a missing guest. The group were not able to leave the parking lot until 5 pm. So, we would have made it back to the group even if we had bought the 3 pm combo ticket. In a hindsight, Mark did not handle it well because he told us that he could skip other attractions such as Bow Lake and Peyto Lake, and directly go to Discovery Center as needed. He explained that the tour could get to the lakes as it returned on the same route. But he did not do so. If the group arrived in the center early, we would have enough time to complete both attractions. Mark offered no assistant in helping us to purchase the tickets either online or at the center is a shame of him. Also he waited until we were already on the road to inform us about cell phone signal being out was his fault because he knew buying ticket requires cell phone service. The company Viator should have emphasized the tour takes guests to Discovery Center ONLY not the Glacier attraction because the title of “Glacier Skywalk” is misleading.

As I am sitting on the Captain Hook boat I am disappointed, displeased and very frustrated. I am sitting on a boat everyone speak Spanish. We book an English cruise was told it would be honor it wasn’t. Spent 2 hours looking crazy unaware of what was going on. I knew only 1 song (Turn up for what) lol. There wasn’t enough seating they really need money bad I guess. The food looks like cafeteria food thrown all together on one plate, please don’t ask for another plate they will stare you down and ignore you. What a horrible experience the Captain Hook trip was a waste of 2 1/2 hours of our time, we could have experience something more interesting and appealing to our soul instead being on a boat not knowing what the hell was going on.. Run don’t ever book with this company. If I could put 0 star I would have that’s how horrible this experience was.

Nosotros hemos reservado y pagado una excursión en Málaga de catamarán con ellos, al llegar nos dijeron que estaba cancelado porque tenían una fiesta privada. No nos han devuelto nuestros 24€,y encima dicen que no hacen el rembolso porque fuimos otro día, cosa que es totalmente falso,no nos dicen qué día y a qué hora, más que nada para saber nosotras si podemos ser omnipresentes. Lamentable,que se queden con tu dinero de ésa manera.Las fotos son de la fiesta privada del catamarán,que por eso nos dijeron cuándo ya estábamos allí que no había salida, habiendo hecho la reserva y el pago varios días antes

A Passenger Who Didn't Travel With Viator
I canceled my reservation April 13th trip date was April 26th policy is full refund if u cancel 24hrs prior my credit card was still charged $275 dollars. Viator why yall do that. I'm in the process with my cc company for that refund. Ppl watch you cc statements when they come.

I've taken around 3 trips with Viator and everyone has been amazing!! We snorkeled with WHALE SHARKS off of Cancun this year and that was fantastic !!! We just came home recently from a cruise and booked an excursion while in Belize City. That was also a snorkel trip to Goff's Caye and our trip was unbelievable and our crew was fantastic !! It was my son's first time snorkeling and he's not the best swimmer. So even though he's an adult, he was a bit nervous. When I told ROBERTO that it was my son's first time snorkeling, ROBERTO jumped right in & took over. He took care of my son the entire time, from getting him off the boat & into the water to snorkeling around the island and showing him things underwater. FANTASTIC !!! We also love to snorkel in Nassau and I booked a snorkel trip with our favorite place (and to me, the BEST in Nassau) and then I booked a snorkel trip with Viator. It turned out that it was the same exact snorkel trip with the same company!!! That tells me a lot !!!! That means that they look for the BEST possible trip and company to use to offer their trips. I'm totally sold on VIATOR !!!

I had enjoyed All the Tours I made with Viator. However there was a bit of Hitch last year due to Bad Weather here in Australia and mistakes by my Travel Consultant in making my plane land at Mandalay instead of Yangon. However in retrospect it was enjoyable specially The Swedagon experience which I had seen twice...morning and later on twilight time! I definitely r commend Viator for Tour Reservations etc.
