“VSF replaced the asbestos roof on my garage and a rusty window on Thursday 25th March. It was a brilliant job! The installers arrived at 7.35 a.m and worked solidly for over 6 hours. Part of the roof was covered with ivy and other vegetation from next door and they removed this (a veritable forest!). They cleared everything up and even took some of the shrubs they had to cut down. I cannot recommend them highly enough and have no hesitation in recommending them.”

“VSF installed a new PVC personnel door and replaced my asbestos roof. However, after the fitters VSF sub-contract left I noticed my garage door wouldn't close due to the new roof. As well as this, large sections of the old guttering, rotten wood and off cuts from the installation were left in and around my garage. Plus the facia I was told by the VSF surveyor would be installed was not installed by the fitters (despite being in the contact I signed). Apparently this is a known issue between the fitters and surveyors but VSF has done nothing about it.
Initially VSF denied this was due to their work, but eventually agreed to rectify their mistake. After getting hold of their area manager, VSF stated they would come out over two weeks after the initial work was completed as they weren't due to be in my area until then. Remedying issues VSF have caused is done at their convenience.
On the morning of the remedial work, the fitters text me to say they would now be coming the following week. I called their office multiple times, who were helpful although couldn't get hold of the fitters to confirm a date and time, and couldn't get any other fitters out sooner.
I called (no answer/ voicemail) and then texted the area manager about the issue, and was told he was on holiday and that I should call the office and leave him alone (great customer service there).
After several days I asked for an official complaint to be logged, and another manager got in contact with me. This manager couldn't get hold of the fitters either, and had to eventually call the client the fitters were doing some work for just to speak to them!
After almost three weeks the garage door issue was rectified, and the rubbish VSF left was removed. As per VSF's terms and conditions, point 11 states "Any remedial work will be rectified within 10 working days", which clearly didn't happen in my case.
I wouldn't recommend VSF to anyone as, going by my experience and other reviews I've read, the fitters appear to be a law unto themselves. You might be lucky and get a decent fitter, or you might be like me and not be so lucky.”
“Had garage roof replaced in 2019 have had water running down the garage wall every rainy day despite a fitter finally coming months later to rectify this. Have at last been able to pay a roofer who said it was leaking where the side I couldn't see didn't reach the gutter. Never been so disgusted with a company especially when 0ne of the initial fitters turned up hungover and didn't suit up to remove the asbestos roof.”
“In May 2021 they installed a new garage door & guttering as well as replacing the asbestos roof on my mothers garage. Since then, her garage has been awash every time there is continuous rain- which wasn’t the case before. The issue originates from how they installed new guttering without anticipating the impact of their work on the surrounding gutters.
It’s been a year now and she is still struggling to get the guttering and flooding resolved by them…not to mention the fact that the lock on the door doesn’t work and the door is not straight.”
“Hi i had my old asbestos garage took down and disposed of by V.S.F and a new one erected with a new concrete base making it longer and wider that was all done by the 02/02/2022 by the 08/04/2022 V.S.F had to come out and repair my garage ,all the back end had come away there was to many faults with the garage i said i wanted a new put up but no all they did was repair it. On the 16/05/2022 had to call V.S.F again more faults have occurred they said Ryan would give me a call within two weeks to come out no joy i had to call them again he give me a date the 14/05/2022 , i put that date in my diary no show i had to call them again he told me it was for the 15/05/2022 time will tell if he comes on that date. I paid for a top of the range garage and what i got is leftover parts from others garage i have had bad materials or bad workmanships or a combination of both. I am insisting on a new garage or a full refund. the have took my money and run with it getting a company is easy getting a real good good good company is the hard bit. i hope after reading this you will look for that elusive real good good good company”
